Goodell is trying to establish himself in the NFL and clear the league into his image duplicate way that Tagliabue did beforehand him.
Goodell's disciplinary policy has help his popularity and allowd him to explore other options to expand the financial gain of the NFL. The 17th game is not a unpromising idea, but I dream up that the game diary should remain solely in the US during the regular season. As for a friday darkness draft move, Goodell is looking solely at improving ratings. However, since in attendance are a great many things on at that time which would compete for the ratings, the friday darkness option is not remarkably good. Also, do not expect the Super Bowl to move outside of the US border and the Pro Bowl will lapse up staying in Hawaii since the hobby is seen more as an excursion than an actual bulldoze, drag out war that we would expect to see contained by the regular season.
Goodell wants to impress the NFL, the owners, the team, and the fans beside his new accepted wisdom and "outside the box" thinking. However, Roger should also take a step final and breathe. playing games in Europe is ridiculous. The players don't resembling it and the travel screws them up. Pre-season games, alright doesn`t matter what but not regular season games. The league doesn't need to move about global resembling the NBA. The NBA is globally more popular but within the USA it is losing steam. The NFL is on top and is a American dominated sport and doesn't need a European influence. The NHL is a Euro dominated league and not a soul in the states watches the sport anymore. A Superbowl overseas is a slap within the face to the fan. I don't think the owners would allow it anyway. Godell's conduct policy is a home run but this 17th team game overseas is just dumb.

I think his philosophy aren't too drastic.
1) I don't think an overseas Super Bowl (I really want they stop using that name) is going to go over big as far as the fan in Europe are concerned.
2) A 17th team game isn't exactly what I would propose, and personally, I'd approaching to see it get deep-sixed.
3) Moving the Pro Bowl around contained by each city next to an existing team would be my hypothesis. I hope that is what he have in mind.
4) I don't bring back involved with the draft.
5) Despite my opinion here, I don't think they could hurt the NFL. It's a short time ago too popular and powerful to be shaken by such subtle changes.

Unlike the other those I belive its a great idea to play a 17th winter sport in a diffrent country. The super bowl will other stay in the USA. Thats not even a consideration. However its a great buisness move to hold 8 games a year in a diffrent country. You could arrange it so that respectively team have there bad week the week after there world far-reaching game. This would lessen the traveling stress. If you move the game to other places your going to produce more fan worldwide which will turn into mor revenue in the adjectives. Also you give adjectives the US Military already in countrys approaching Germany a chance to turn to a actual football game. You play games surrounded by the local tv time so that more people can see them. In the US it would not effect the normal devotee too much. With the exception that once a season there hometeam plays a winter sport at who knows what time. Statisticly here would be new accounts every year with the added team game which would be hugh in selling the winter sport (watch Vince Young get the most rushing yard in a season as a qb contained by history... yeah he has smaller quantity then Vick over 16 games but this IS a season... :P )
I believe he is a moment ago kicking around some ideas. He wishes to keep the winter sport fresh and on top of the world. Just because one is on top very soon doesn't mean things shouldn't be changed.
