Who is better walter paeyton or barry sanders?
just overall not by statsAnswers: Sweetness is OVERALL the greatest ever.. He have very perfect speed to the corner and can cut it better than anyone. He had sick moves, not similar to Barry but maybe second. He would run you over if he feel like it also. He also be great out of the backfield and had incredible reception skills for a back which be somewhat unusual back next. Not to mention he was a cruel blocker. He did everything great, can you say that in the order of Barry, Jim Brown, OJ, and the rest:: He was a stone of a man also they say. RIP
Barry Sanders by far look at the activity tapes... they be both amazing... but barry was on a complete different level...

Barry Sanders. Walter Payton, I won;t mention stats since you qualified this question not to include them.
I will ,however, qualify my answer this route, Payton was a great player and troop mate. Sanders was a great player that set the Lions backbone a decade when he announced his retirement before training military camp. If he had any integrity he would enjoy retired after the previous season and allowed Detroit to set up their draft and free agent acquisitions knowing that their best player be no longer going to be around.
I would say a tie because both running back played for teams near offensive lines who can't block and quarterbacks who cant throw. At most minuscule Walter Payton played for a great coach like Mike Ditka. should a have a V8 da oviously walter payton
