Do you muse Atlanta made other trading Schaub?
Question:In my opinion this business made the Falcons a whole lot better I guess this was a large amount for the Falcons. If they stay where they are and pick eighth they are guaranteed to bring Landry the safety from LSU, whom the Dolphins covet at the ninth pick. Also, they might know how to package picks to move up to the #2 spot and nab Calvin Johnson the hometown boy to become a dynamic weapon for Michael Vick. Great concordat for the Falcons in so tons ways; in certainty, I feel this may dance down as one of the all time steals if the Falcons play it right.
Answers:
I reflect it was the right move. They moved up two slots, and get a 2nd round pick for this year AND next year. And for what? A backup QB.
I'm really not sure why so various people thought that Schaub be going to be the answer when Vick wasn't. Sure, he had some biddable games when he started, but you can't compare a pocket QB to Vick and expect the passing numbers to be similar.
I agree. They hold drafts to play with and if they use them correctly afterwards they can turn into a powerhouse virtually over night.
They should hold kept him, and got rid of Vick. He is uncoachable, only like Kobe bryant is.
I surmise they made a very apposite deal, and get the better end of it. Schaub is not a proven commodity at adjectives (career passer rating of 69). Moving up two spots is a pretty big deal, but those 2 second rounders (2007,2008) are what make this deal great. The second round is still loaded beside amazing talent, and Houston figures to hold a high second round pick from here to eternity beside the crap they put out on the field. Great buy and sell for ATL.
Michael Vick is overrated. Has Atlanta not learned that it's NOT his recievers that form him bad?
Anytime a reciever comes into Atlanta he starts to suck. Anytime a reciever leaves Atlanta, he become better.
Coincidence? I think not.
So, no, trading Schaub be a stupid move by Atlanta's part, and they singular kept Vick around because he is a favorite amongst their fans and craft a large profit contained by their urban economy.
Simple Answer: An Amazing Deal
I can't believe the Texans made this trade. I reflect Shaub will not do well surrounded by Texas because the OL is so poor. Carr isnt bad he only needs time to trade name a throw. The Falcons basically dumped a backup QB that is to say not proven for three picks. My guess is that the falcons must be looking to steal some QB late... approaching possibly Troy Smith. That way Vick still have some pressure and in baggage he doesn't do well they own a suitable back up. I denote would you rather hold Troy Smith and two other guys or Matt Shaub?
It's too early to convey. It depends on how good Matt turns out to be. It also depends on how they spend their draft picks. Just stale the top of my head I feel the Falcons got the better do business. But if Matt S. has a worthy year and Vick flops then Falcon fan will be the ones crying. Wait a year. Maybe up to 3 years. Only time will tell.
It would be a flawless Deal if Vick wasn't the most over rated QB ever. They still don't hold a QB to take them anywhere.
I muse its a good deal morale astute.
Vick knows he's the man. Schaub be a capable starter surrounded by the case that Vick muffed it up subsequent season. With Schaub gone Vick doesn't have anyone looking over his shoulder.
I approaching what the trade has done for Vick.
The Falcons will not move up to the #2 pick.
yes i judge this was a great move by the falcons not one and only do they get moved up within their draft pick but they also proved their loyalty to vick. Which was up surrounded by the air. This could be one fo the greatest moves ever beacuase what be Schaub doing for the falcons besides sitting on the bench. What a move
The Falcons got the better finish off of the deal thats for sure. For those culture who said trade Vick, we would still be paying part of his $100 million gross even if he was on another troop. All 3 picks the Texans gave the Falcons will be used to draft eventual starters surrounded by the NFL. The Falcons knew Vick is their man and they get the most out of Schaub from the Texans.
Sure. They have clearly decided to stick next to Vick and why not trade and get something for him instead of merely losing him at the end of this season. I don't focus they could afford him as a free agent. I guess we will have to loaf until the end of the season to see if the bright coach and Vick "mesh" and make things come to pass. I guarantee you if they have a losing season or don't get the playoffs people will start yell it was discouraging to get rid of him.
All the Falcons really did be swap first round picks with Houston and gain 2 second round picks. Big deal. It's nought to brag about seriously.
Adam C have to be on something. That trade was an excellent trade on their piece, with an 8th pick this year they could draft various other players than might not have be their at 10, and matt schaub is overrated, not michael vick, in one and only two starts schaub has be sacked two times, the falcons o-line is one of the best so it wasnt because of them, and recievers coming into atlanta other suck, ashley lelie-sucked already, and joe horn is old and will retire soon anyways so you cant really expect much. Plus they hold a great backip in d.j. shockley out of georgia who have a terriffic year with the dawgs. plus its not his defect his recievers are injured or are ROOKIES you cant expect 1000 yards recieving out of ROOKIES thats insane. With that trade they can become a dominant troop in the playoffs beside wisely chosen picks. He is not overrated, he uses his legs to carry yards and get praise for it, he should, not many quarterbacks are as mobile and as speedily as vick and he cant rely on his wide recievers to take in for questioning anything except for crumpler and hes covered by a db becasue of his yards after the ambush ability, he deserves adjectives the praise he gets because he is a dutiful quarterback and is still getting used to the west coast offense which is mostly staying in the pocket and ratification which isnt exactly used too, to say the most minuscule.
Of course they did. They got rid of an overhyped backup QB and get overcompensated for it. The Falcons should be prosecuted for this. they get to move up within the draft, get further picks for a player who has never won an NFL winter sport as a starter and has completed beneath 60% of his passes and have a dubios 1:1 TD to INT ratio. All this talk roughly speaking "upside" and "potential" is hogwash. The Texans screwed themselves once again and the Falcons made off approaching bandits. Schaub is not an upgrade over David Carr, its a downgrade.
In a word...GREAT.
You cannot evaluate a trade base upon what develops later on (as near Favre) If he had remined contained by Atlanta, he may not have developed the instrument he did, but at the time of the trade, who knew.
So what Shaub will become is irrellevent to this trade today.
What we obtain in actual picks and potential to move up is incredible. Heck, we could even move down and go and get MORE picks.
There isn't a down side to this.
All you Vick haters...get over your disappointment just about Falcons TEAM records and trying to scape goat one player as the basis.
Football is the most team orient sport there is. No one player is going to verbs all the shipment and get to a super bowl and win it. Just ask Dan Marino, Daunte Culpepper and other great QBs that never made it. Heck, though the jury is still out, ask Drew Brees and that eagles QB guy.
You can be disappointed contained by overall team results (record) but don't hold it personally guys.
Man I cant beleive that ATL think that Vick is the answer.LOL. He is just 1 hit away from going vertebrae on the Injured Reserve.then who you get?
Houston got the better downfall of the deal here. They be able to obtain a QB that is not a Rookie and have the hunger to be a starter. In the Kubiak offense this guy will become an all-star because he doesn't have to do that much.
The guy that said that Carr is not the problem know nothing just about the quarterback position and the reads he wishes to make because most of his sack were the result of Carr's inability to read the d...
I suggest it all depends on what they do beside the picks. Being someone who watched Petrino's unbroken tenure at Louisville and knows that his offense centers on a successful throwing QB, they call for to pick up a relatively decent backup QB who will be at hand in baggage Vick doesn't pan out. And the risk next to him rushing like he does, obviously puts him at even higher risk for injury. So they distinctly need to riddle that spot ASAP. If they don't they could be putting themselves in a bind down the road.
And they're not moving up to the #2 spot, there's too abundant other teams next to a lot more money and better prospects to proposal that will get that pick..if the Lions do contained by fact resolve to trade it at all.
I dream up if the Falcons were smart they'd pick up a young-looking guy like Drew Stanton from Michigan State surrounded by the draft. He's a guy that can throw from the pocket and with some nouns could make a pretty fitting NFL QB. They also need to work on their reception core (Joe Horn is good for motivation but he's getting up near in years) as capably as filling some spots on defense.
So for them it's adjectives about capitalizing on their gain from the deal. They can any do it big or plan on spending some time at the bottom of the NFC South.
the deal with the sole purpose made sense for the falcons, some ppl don't understand love him or can`t bear him the falcons are committed to Vick, and thats all that matter, even if Schaub is a good QB, There is nil the falcons could have done to use him. NO agency they are benching Vick and if they keep Schaub this year in attendance is no doubt he will be gone subsequent year.
So the falcons new this and put it to their authority, basically getting something fairly than nothing
Great Move!
Texans took a back
It was a right move because they would have lost Schaub subsequent year with no compensation. So they enjoy nothing to lose. Of couse presently they are stuck with Vick. Who'll hold the troop back until they find a unadulterated QB.
GREAT GREAT GREAT TRADE for the Falcons! They have THE power position within the draft now, really, plus they could trade up for Calvin Johnson... and WTF is Houston doing? How stupid are Texans really, I indicate the Houston Texans, Schaub is gonna be a failure within Houston as was Carr, Carr will progress on and be a pro bowler somewhere else and Houston will still have a QB dropping put money on then thrown around resembling raggedy ann doll 50-60 times a season for a couple years before they turn after another *allstar* Bench Warmer. If they kept Carr, added a WR or 2 and some O-Line help that offense would work... They could use another D-lineman to help out Mario Williams out too...

Question:Anyone else get the thought of a correlation with a slave auction ?
Answers:
Not really, I don`t know if the slaves were allowed to hang on to their money and a lot of them become millionares - the rest would have to settle for making a minimum of 225,000 a year.
Oh, and if they could hold retired at any time they choose.
So, a voluntary 'slave' auction where those going topmost became profusely rich and they didn't have to work everyday... and could quit when they want. Yes.
a 2 time long slave auction lol...i fell asleep at the start of the rams 1st pick...by the time i woke up they still have 3 minutes on the clock lol
At the very least possible a dog and pony show. I've heard a few ancestors comment that the NFL channel be much more professional in their coverage of the draft than ESPN.
ESPN sux!
Umm.oh, yeah, totally equal!
Guys getting picked by teams that they can choose to travel with, and negotiate contracts worth millions.
versus ancestors being stolen and consequently sold as slaves, beaten, raped, murdered...

Who's better Jamarcus russell or troy smith?
Answers:
Both guys are talented and own what it takes to own success QB. both played near great football team and have WRs and took advantage of their situation. Nothing is wrong beside him, people voice hes too small for QB but Vick was too small and vick is doing his thang. I would individually go for Jamarcus russel, he have peyton manning body but more mobile, and reminds me of a mixture of steve mcnair and daunte cultpepper surrounded by their prime. Big body, aggressive, hard to bring down, mobile, and hold great arm power.
Russell Hands down. Way to much talent not to be the #1 pick in the draft.
All you hold to do is look at Mel Kiper's top picks, Troy Smith is no where to be found. Jamarcus Russell is a first round pick probably #1 overall, Troy smith will be lucky to be drafted within the 3rd round.
In the NFL, or in college? In the NFL, it remains to be see, but the popular opinion is Russell. A lot of family just don't suppose Smith will translate into the NFL, and I happen to agree.
In college, you're looking at a much closer see. Smith didn't win the awards he won without a rationale, so I'd give him the periphery.
At this point who knows, but given the measuarable facts and the intangibles Russel looks like he will be the better pro. Remember a few years pay for a qb named Ryan Leaf be considered just as virtuous or maybe better than Peyton Manning, see how that turned out.
I would specifically go next to Russell. Better arm, better mobility, better awarness. I would be surprised if he wasn't picked in at smallest the top three. It is very feasible he may go to the Raiders within the first round.
Like others, I think Jamarcus Russell will be a much better NFL talent. The arm, echelon, descion-making, etc. But in writ to give both players a generous trial, Troy Smith has have a difficult college career until that time this season. The Buckeyes didn't decide on starting Smith until afer they be beat by the Longhorns. Smith throws a pretty globe, and is pretty elusive, almost approaching Donavon McNabb. I don't think he'l be and NFl talent, but he definately deseverved the Heisman.
Are you serious? Russell is means of access better than Smith. Russell is going to be off the draft board surrounded by the first three picks, more than likely the 1st pick. Smith will be lucky to take off the board surrounded by the first THREE ROUNDS. Its not even close.
Troy Smith
I have nought against Troy Smith but I have see Jemarcus Russell throw the football and he has a gun for an arm.
Russel is miles better. I don't judge Troy Smith will ever be more than a backup with his insufficiency of size.
Troy Smith will probably put up better numbers because he will be playing in the Arena league and Russell will be within the NFL.
JMac.
Russell, no comparison. Smith has masses more problems besides being short, you know. You can't compare him next to other short NFL QBs like Drew Brees. Brees is really accurate and Smith isn't. It also take Smith about 10 minutes between the time he decide to throw the ball and the time it leaves his appendage, while Brees' release time is lightning fast. And Smith isn't nearly quick enough to be a Michael Vick-type player. He really of late doesn't have the skills to be a clad NFL QB. Smith's character and intelligence are also questionable.
Jamarcus is a better player, but Smith may be a better ruler.
russell cause his well-mannered a good arm better next smith and speed 2 i think qb sagacious itz all russell
This also isn't concrete to answer. Jamarcus Russell could be a great NFL QB. Troy Smith may play in the NFL as ably , but not at QB. Russell has adjectives the tools.
