The best style to get strong is to use power lift. Do squats, power cleans, bench press, dead lift and lunges. You will need terrifically strong legs to play d tackle and strong arms to save lineman off of you. You want to focus on explosive lift, as that is the technique you will involve to use. Mix in loop sprints and some cardio to help catch rid of the fat. Try and start beside 8 100 yard dash every 30 seconds. In other words start the clock and run 100 yard. At 30 seconds, run again until you hold finished 8. Once you start feeling right there, start doing 10, 12, 14 etc. Ask one of your football coaches for a weightiness program you can follow and you should be able to capture strong for the season.

Dont just focus on legs, acquire your back and your trunk stronger, that will hand over you a better base, also work on explosive workouts...plyo's will do you accurate.

To work just grunt leg strength, Squats, Lunges, Deadlifts-both types.

Do some running everynow and later...build your stamina, so you get stronger as the activity goes on.
