Football American Questions and Answers

Most Improved: Lions or Raiders?

Question:I was wondering which of the NFL two worst team improved the most this offseason, the Detroit Lions or the Oakland Raiders. Me and my friend are have a debate on this answer. Please state what you think and why the troop you chose is most improved.
Answers:

The Lions will be the most enhanced.
The Lions have a veteran QB, proven to be a 4000+ patio QB, and the Raiders have an unproven rookie.
The Lions own better receivers than the Raiders. And the Raiders no longer enjoy Randy Moss.
The Lions DID upgrade their offensive string with veteran linemen, which will be a HUGE restructuring.
The Lions have a second year coaching staff including Mike Martz, horrible coordinator. The Raiders have a rookie NFL coach next to a whole hot system to learn.
Kevin Jones will be coming stern sooner than expected, even though the Lions picked up Tatum Bell (avg. 4.9 yrds per carry final year), and TJ Duckett.
The Raiders did almost nothing except start adjectives over from scratch. This will be one of the worst team again this year, where the Lions will be a playoff troop.
wait until the season.

They will both be horrifying for years and years so you and your friend should just drop the in one piece debate.

Edit: The Raiders have no rude line, a QB that have 1 good team game in college, and they lost one of the best WRs surrounded by the league, thats far from improving.
Well, I sure HOPE that the Radiers revolutionize...For their own sake. Of course, that is coming from a Bronco's enthusiast, so nevermind =].
THE RAIDERS! BY FAR! the sorry *** lions went after anither wide-ranging receiver! they do it every year, and hold on to losing! at least the raider got russell, and they also upgraded their intolerable line! the lions are within for anothr 3-13 season! ther raiders? 5 or 6 win! a huyge improvement! so if i be you, put your money on the raiders! the lions suck and matt millen requirements to get fired!! as gm!!
I instinctively think the Raiders superior because they had tons of picks surrounded by the draft and Russell has tons of years to promote. They Dominic Rhodes got traded to the Raiders so their run spectator sport would improve. All the Lions did be just Calvin Johnson, I deem they drafted a QB but I dont think their QB would revolutionize as Russell would have years to come to augment.
Detroit will be the much improved squad out of the 2. Simple really...Marinelli is building the team right. They made change on both there intolerable and defensive lines within the offseason. With the addition of Johnson within offense should be pretty good.
This is seriously a tough one. Both team had some pretty nice picks surrounded by the draft. Let's hope that JaMarcus Russell has some protection at QB.

Detroit did not attain any better, except drafting (*drumroll*) ANOTHER WR!! Calvin Johnson is good, but I don't guess he's ready to be compared to guys similar to Lynn Swann and Jerry Rice. How the heck are you gonna get the orb to the reciever without a QB? Steve Mariucci thought more WR routine "We're goin' to the Super Bowl!"

WRONG! So my pick is Oakland, even though they lost one of the best recievers of our time. I'm just hoping Lane Kiffin can do a better opening than Art Shell. That guy sucked!

Most Improved Team other than Cleveland: OAKLAND RAIDERS
A no brainer - the Raiders hold really improved the offense, the defense is still commanded by another Buddy Ryan clone.

The GM of Detroit is STILL Matt Millen right?

The Black and Silver confidently improve to 8-8 this season, the Lions struggle to win back to 5-11...
The raider had a better draft they picked up the QB they needed. Their offense will rearrange this year and they got some well brought-up D. The lions on the other hand didn't do as powerfully they have drafted WR heavily built for the past drafts and I really don't see like mad of improvement overall. I haven't looked at the strength of programme for either squad but the consensus is the Raiders by far should have a better season and the most increase.
Raiders suck. You get rid of one of the best addressee in the league and your not on a winning streak. Theres nothing but problems within Oakland what with staff and player rigidity...there going to blow for some time.
Oakland Raiders!
Raiders, they did alot more next the lions did.Sure the lions are stacking themselves at rb but they didnt do something about that dud qb they own Kitna.and the raiders have a great draft, and picked up some better quality players
raider
I see both of these teams have 3-13 or 4-14 seasons subsequent year. The Raiders made improvements at QB, RB and they got rid of Moss who wasn't playing even when he be on the field. They also drafted a TE who be on the top at that position of many team draft boards. Last year they had the number 3 defense. That is incredible when you consider that their offense couldn't stay on the pen at all. The problem is that they own one of the worst o-lines in the activity. When you throw a young QB to the wolves approaching that, you can't expect big things. A healthy LaMnt Jordan will relief his development. They also play contained by the hardest division in the league near additional games against Indy, Jacksonville and Chicago. A rock-hard schedule, no o-line and a immature QB spells another dissapointing season.

The Lions are pretty much in like boat. Calvin Johnson will help that offense but their defense is woeful. They can't stop anyone from scoring. They also lost their best cover corner hindmost to the broncos in the offseason and they enjoy no pass rush. That is fruitless news. Their offense will be fearsome with Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson but they obligation Mike Martz to utilize the RB position correctly to fully live up to the offensive potential they own.

I think the Raiders will be more superior. Their offense can't get any worse next last year (12 TD scored) which will assist out what is already a playoff defense. Dominic Rhodes and a healthy Jordan should clutch some pressure off the childlike QB.

The Lions are worse off on defense closing year, which is horrible. They will put up a ton of points and passing numbers but beside that defense, no wins are going to come.
Detroit Lions made the better moves and also get a good guard contained by Manny Ramirez. Their division and conference should allow them to win more games than the Raiders who play in the insanely gaping AFC West.
Oakland... Did you see the defence second year? They were on the grazing land most of the game due to an brutal sin... And yet they did resourcefully, considering that it's a pretty young component... The D will keep them within games so that an improved O can put up some points... There copy will be around 6-10, whereas Detroit will be 4-12...
The Raiders look like they enjoy added more quality players and I saw that Warren Sapp have lost a lot of bulk. I don't know why the Lions insist on always tally receivers. They shutting up being a bust or they don't own a decent qb to ever throw it to them.
The Lions, both team are run by idiots, but Johnson will be a stud receiver
The Raiders, because the Raiders completely replaced their coaching staff, while the Lions still hold the same losers surrounded by there as coaches. Getting rid of that locker room poison Moss also superior the Raiders. The Raiders had a angelic, safe draft. It will be totally interesting to see if the new coaches can win creative (especially on the offensive end) and squeeze a few more win out of this group. If the Raiders can get any helpful of ball-control, running-oriented offense going, they can win more games than anyone might expect because their young inferior is so good, and any squad will have closely of trouble passing against them. So if they can seize some kind of running winter sport going with Rhodes and Jordan, they can take wins because team will have trouble coming from trailing against them because Asomugha, Washington, and Huff make ratification a risky proposition.

The Lions had a unusual draft. I'm okay with the Calvin Johnson pick, and he might work out really okay. However, have you see Drew Stanton's mechanics and accuracy, especially how he looked at his pro morning? He was a huge make for the Lions. They have so plentiful need positions, and they draft a moderately successful, incorrect quarterback? What!?! They definitely do call for a QB to groom for the future, but I regard as it's pretty obvious that Stanton isn't the guy. Millen is still a moron.

However, keep hold of in mind that both of these team are in a slow rebuilding process. I don't expect any team to post a ahead record subsequent season, and probably not the season after that, either.

What are the best college football programs contained by the country?

Answers:

I'd say texas, USC, Norte Dame, UCLA, and possibly Virginia Tech
usually the ones in the top 25. USC, Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, LSU, Florida, Notre Dame etc...
Flordia, Wisconsin, Ohio state, and USC. I am from Los Angles so i am going for USC. Go Trojans!!!
By degree in instruct:
Notre Dame: 13 Championships
Alabama: 11
USC: 11
Oklahoma: 9
Michigan: 7
Ohio State: 7
Minnesota: 6

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ncaa_divisi...
Under "Most national championships"
Florida, USC, Auburn, LSU
The past 5 years:
Michigan
Florida
LSU
Ohio State
USC
USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame.

Right presently some good ones are Texas, Boise State(iffy), Florida,Michigan
Florida, USC, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Boise State, UCLA, LSU, Georgia Tech, and Texas.
i say-so texas usc michigan florida west virginia virginia tech the usuall
All of the teams within the top.25 are good BUT IS ALL ABOUT THE U
USC, Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma
and Texas
All of these team except maybe Texas hold amazing history when it comes to football all dominating time and again (usually taking turns) these team cant be compared to flash in the tub schools that may do devout for a year or two Boise State, LSU, Florida, and Tennessee for example. A year or two of success is great and adjectives but have some respect for the academy that have showed they can do it time and again. Here are some numbers for some 1 and done school, and numbers for some serious historical football programs.

Florida
7 SEC Championships
2 National Championships
2 Heisman Winners

LSU
12 Conference Championships (9 in SEC)
2 National Championships
1 Heisman Winner
22 All Americans

USC
36 Pac 10 Championships
7 National Championships
7 Heisman Winners
144 All Americans

OSU
31 Big 10 Championships
7 National Championships
7 Heisman winner (including the only 2 time knockout Archie Griffin)
128 All Americans

Notre Dame
8 National Championships
7 Heisman Winners
178 All Americans

So as you can see attempting to compare these schools is ridiculous, it take more than a national championship to form you a dominant football program. (i guess that last section is for all of those gator fan out there)
USC, Texas, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State.
The teams that are other rank contained by the top 25 like USC

Will Temple University sports programs ever be considered for re-admission to the Big East Conference?

Answers:

HAHAHA at the rate they are going? They will be lucky if the Independents don't somehow kick them out of that as in good health. If they suddenly became a REAL sports program and that last a few years then yeah the Big East would forget the knotty feelings(that are really more about Miami and Virgina Tech after Temple).
Temple football is unlikely to be considered for re-admission to the Big East. I suspect that Temple will become very at ease with its associate sponsorship with the MAC for football, and the rest of their sports should remain thrilled with the Atlantic 10.

However, I verbs the possiblity of the Big East getting torn apart by its unwieldy size. 16 schools is of late not functional for a league, particularly if the member expect to go to the NCAA tourney. So, I see the Big East splitting along football vs. basketball lone lines. Temple might be very warmth in the basketball lone conference which results, while remaining in the MAC for football (and I deliberate Memphis would leave C-USA for the football conference).
