Question:Melbourne has hosted the Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games and currently hosts sporting events such as the F1 opulent prix, Australian Open Tennis, Melbourne Cup Carnival, AFL grandfinal, Boxing Day test and soon the World Swimming Championships. Is here any city in Australia or the world who does any better??
Answers:

Melbourne tops the world for sports events
November 12, 2006
MELBOURNE have been name the world's top sports events city, ahead of joint second Paris and Sydney, contained by the first analysis of its kind.
Yes melbourne is the sports wealth of the world for sure!!
Don't forget about the MotoGP and a round of the World Superbikes! Yes, they are at Phillip Island but it's simply about 90 minutes from the CBD.
Someone told me near are 12 sports stadiums in the world that enjoy roofs that open and close. Melbourne have 3 of them. Docklands, Rod Laver & Vodaphone.
That's a yes for me big willy, and its not just the amount of sporting events we hold its also the attendances i.e 130,000 on derby day, 97,000 on impressive final day,90 uncharacteristic thousand Anzac day,250+thousand for 3 days of the Melbourne tryout ,55,000 sell out for the soccer final the inventory goes on,and roughly the peoples enthusiasm for sport in this city (including me) ,its great-i love it .
Ya huh, LoL. Melbourne is No #1 and Sydney #2. That's pretty awesome. And yeah, the World Swimming Championships are going to be great - from what I've see, the pool looks amazing. Who ever figured: a pool ontop of a tennis court? Also looking forward to AFL which starts pretty soon, that'll be cool, but it's a pity that Melbourne isn't more into Rugby League, because they've get a super team surrounded by mighty good form that deserves much more credit from it's home state.
Absolutely, couldnt agree beside u more

I think i'd move to the city that ever outdoes melbourne surrounded by the sporting stakes
yes overall it is with sydney coming second (top 2 cities contained by a country of 21mil people is pretty big) i am curios how far australia is ahead of other nation on a per capita basis
I am such a proud lil Aussie that i hold to say yes...unsurprisingly Melbourne would be the sporting capital of the world!

Who will win the Rugby Union Super 14s this year and why?

Answers:

I think the Crusaders could win back-to-back Super 14 titles since they won contained by 2006. They're very popular beside six premierships - five in Super 12 (1998, 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2005) and the first Super 14 title of 2006.
one of: crusaders (traditional rugby) or Blues (fast rugby)

australians (warratahs) might build semis (wildcards)

chiefs also to the semis

south african teams wont (big but slow and boring)
REAL FOOTBALL
IS IN THE USA

WATCH SUPER BOWL XLI
COLTS VS BEARS

If Steve Larkem fires up the Brumbies will win... but its not feasible and I hate to vote it but... one of the kiwi teams will probably win assured

Do you prefer League or Union? Why?

Answers:

league, too many rucks and senseless kicking within union.

plus near is no state of origin.
I wasn't a aware within was an Aussie football league, but I'd say league. If your discussion about rugby I'd read aloud Union.
League...cos the pace is quicker than Union which have phases and goes on and on instead of a meet count which makes League more central.
unon has to plentiful stopage and the backs are uncommonly see the ball.a troop can win on penalty kick.and its boring to watch ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.bring on the nrl anytime.
As a Victorian who have no idea of the rules of any code I prefer watching Rugby Union for some reason- it just seem more rough, muddier and unorganised plus I hate listen to those rugby league commentators. Watching rugby union it appears to me that not even the players know adjectives the rules so I guess I find it entertaining.
League, for sure. League has a much better home hobby (we have the NRL) and Union - I don't even know. It's resembling the 'Super 14s' (get over yourself) or something. Have you ever watched the games? I don't receive Union. It looks like an excuse for guys to touch respectively other in the ruck, but ya know, that's newly me. League is alot more structured and therefore, alot easier for folks to follow, which does lead to a bigger audience and the knack to run national comps. and things like State of Origin (which is awesome). And the Australian Rugby League Team don't suck rather as much as the Wallabies do, LoL
At a domestic level self say i preferred rugby league (go storm) but at a national rank you can,t go departed the union i.e Aussie vs All blacks, the world cup,tri nation,it seems to me at a national smooth there is more prestige and history within union than league.
i miserable the big event is the union world cup,and the league world cup is resembling its little brother.
neither. .
alf is heaps better!

Can anyone relate me what's goin on near AFL, is the first 9 round going to be on free tv and the rest is fox

Answers:

ok, this years television rights are tough to follow but here is a basic explanation. Channel 7 get to show 2 games a week, channel 10 get to show the same ammount and fox get the rest.

The finals are as last year exclusively for drain 10 to show live with fox showing replays of the games at a after that timeslot.

for country veiwers (i live in country wa, so i will use that as the example) win and gwn the rights as 10 and 7 do within perth. the round 6 clash for west coast v western bulldogswill be shown live by fox with the free to nouns stations replaying it 3 hours later. near are 2 rounds that fox will get 2 home games for west coast and fremantle (neither mortal the derby) i only remeber the one and i apologize for that.
the foxtel do business fell through, so 7 and 10 will get to show games adjectives year.
The games for the entire season will be shown on both free to air and Foxtel. Between the two adjectives games will be shown live or near to live.
dont know dont attention
NRL is way betta
'Ask me better', when do you dance back to arts school?

Each round, there will be 2 games on 7,
2 games on 10 and
4 games on Fox.
I'm not sure who is getting the finals. Fox will replay them but 7 or 10 would enjoy the live feed.
