Football Australian Questions and Answers

Should sledging be allowed within afl? where on earth to draw the file?

Question:i know this is a murky subject, and has be brought up again with the headland-selwood shield during the week

i think calling someone portly is ok (when i say ok, i propose it should not be penalised or punished by the tribunal. it is not good social behaviour)
i contemplate racially vilifying someone is not

for the record, i estimate that what selwood) allegedly said is within the rules, and is ok (shouldnt be penalised)
where on earth do you draw the line?
Answers:

this is a tough one - the sincerity is that if no one really know exactly what Selwood said. If he knowingly made those comments that Headland said he did, afterwards I think he crossed the rank. (Although Headland should have handle the situation far more professionally than he did.) If he actually said what he claimed, after there's nothing wrong near it at all. I'm sure the Eagles players cop plenty of sledging for human being drug users, which is fair spectator sport as well I mull over. Racial vilification is a definite no-no.
The sincerity is though, at the end of the year, the scoreboard will always pass the loudest voice.
noooooooooooo!
i dont think what selwood said be in the rules if what he said be what headland claimed he should have be punished and sledging can be used in some aspects but near is a line that shouldent be crossed for example you dont right to be heard im gonna f uck ure mum tonight just as hes gonna procure the ball thats to far u dont settle up out ppls family surrounded by a pro enviroment or any enviroment
i think sledging within general is ok and what's said on the footy area should stay on the footy field, but i would draw the queue at bagging or aphorism derogatory remarks about other players kids/family and cultural slurrs (which are already an offence),but as for bagging the player himself i.e his looks, his abillity, something hes done surrounded by public or on the ground then travel for it, they're all big boys and should know how to handle it.
yes sledging is moral if a player wants a few 100 000 dollars to see a footy around per year they have to be prepared for a bit of lip on the paddock
I think sledging is ok (should not be penalised as you put it) as long religious or ethnic milieu or sexaul orientations is not 'sledged'. As far as the Des Headland case is concerned, I don't regard he should have be exused for violence (though I don't really effort anyway).
Geez, how pathetic is our mode of life becoming. Is this right, can i read out this, is that right, I didn't say this , I said that , But consequently again who said that.. Ya gotta be kidding me. I be pissed on the first day I go to school, I hold been laugh at , riddiculed, and abused, for 40 something years , but it hasn't effected me contained by any way . So presently we have to dispense " precious " thought and consideration to those who"publicly" display "tatts. " I'm bald and enjoy been laugh at and called a shaved headed bastard for over 20 yrs. what's the subsequent step, do I go to the smooth on top headed men's Ombudsman and complain . As I said ya gotta be kiddin me, and I really construe we have to peroxide up a bit . ...
Sledging has be part of sport since adam be a pup but u do have to draw the lines at tribal vilifacation and children.

Aussies thrash kiwis twice within in the future? how humiliating?

Question:aussies thrash kiwis in cricket world cup surrounded by west indies by 215 runs
aussies win anzac rugby league test 30 -8
Answers:

everyone thought the kiwi league squad was suitable but i always thought they be "B" grade. they couldnt select a regular starting partially back, marshall hasnt hit any form this year, no kidwell, and even though im a parra supporter you cannot play a fullback near one first grade winter sport experience (of which he made the parra side due to injuries) in a theory test match. Their guard was apalling and be lucky to not lose by more... kiwis arent going anywhere for a while
Its beyond humiliating, i really didnt expect either of the nz team to lose by that much
very mortifying and funny
Yeah humiliating for the Kiwi's but brilliant for us Aussies!!
Humiliating , yes .
Surprising , no .
Bloody awesome , you bet !
But unfortunatly , even the reallity of defeat won't shut the bastards up .
extremely funny and very embarrresing ..lol

In rugby union, what does the "breakdown" mean?

Answers:

The Breakdown
The aim of the defending side is to stop the player with the ball, either by bringing them to ground (a tackle, which is frequently followed by a ruck), or contesting for possession with the ball-carrier on their feet (a maul). Such circumstances are known by the collective name of "the breakdown", and each is governed by a specific law.
