Which team(s) could confer on Melbourne?
Question:The AFL is looking to spread the older Melbourne base teams to other parts of the country. Which ones will most probable make the move?
Answers:
I reckon the Kangaroos could confer on Melbourne and relocate to Canberra as they have be playing games during the years there and to sort a official side within the comp out of canberra could be good for the city and surrounding areas.cheers
Personally I devise it's a bad view. When a club moves interstate it looses most of it's history. I'm much more in rather of relegation and promotion style system, using the VFL, WAFL and SAFL as equal 2nd or 3rd Divisions, and brand new team in the other parts of the country. But I adopt it will never happen.
Given that the concluding Victorian clubs to join the competition, method back within the 1920's - the Roos, Hawks and Dogs - still have the fewest supporters and member, I think it shows that they're other going struggle financially in Melbourne. So I surmise the money the AFL is offering them to play some 'home' games interstate will always be vital to them, and I think they'll be forced to hang on to it up year after year.
So I think eventually it will be the Roos, Dogs and Hawks who enjoy the supporter base within their 2nd home to make the move. And it will come up as soon as they have a huge financial crisis and the AFL offer to 'help them' as they did with South Melbourne (=Sydney).
I'd say-so the roos because they're going broke and have the tiniest number of fans. the afl discussed relocating them to Queensland contained by about 5 years.
they are the with the sole purpose ones off the top of my person in charge that would truly benefit
The Kangaroos! They should move to the ACT or NT.
Hawthorn is already expanding is home game calendar in Tasmania from 2 to 4 every year. I don't contemplate this is enough though. Tasmania is a true AFL homeland next to four of the Hall of Famers coming from there, and plentiful more stars besides. Also the Hawks often capture bigger crowds (30,000) in "Lonnie" than they do within Melbourne. It is time Melbourne woke up and recognise that Tassie deserves it's own team!
re: The Kanga's, they tried to relocate to Western Sydney/ Canberra at a time when NRL be just starting to get better from it's Super League fiasco, which was an proper disaster, because fans who could enjoy been won over two years nearer (also off the final of Sydney's 1996 GF appearance) were flocking subsidise to Rugby League. But definately Tassie, and maybe NT inevitability at least 1 squad.
Whilst I am at it - Bring back the State of Origin as economically!
I reckon the Crows, Eagles and the Power should leave Melb, and bloody stay out.
The relegation system would be a biddable idea within my view have a top eight and bottom eight playing in different competitions.
The bottom 2 from A dvision take relegated each year and the top two of B Division achieve promoted each year.
The Kangaroos are playing their home games at Carrara very soon. I do not think they would move their lastingly owing to the fact that Queensland is so pro-rugby league. Also I don't see a second squad in Sydney any.
Tasmania is an option for one side but let face it (and I am Tasmania) we hold great footballers but not the crowds to watch ever second week here at home.
I would close to to see a permanent side contained by Canberra. Which side is debateable. Maybe the Kangaroos would have the inside running.
The kangaroos will i imagine they are planing to go to brisbane or fundamental there.=]
Canterbury losing by 1 point, the week back they didnt win Does existence draw from any better Aussies individual please?
Question:Last week when the Bulldogs didnt even score i thought natural life is good
Last dark the Bulldogs lost by 1 point
LIFE DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER!!!
Answers:
Yeah, it was wonderful to see the Broncos hang on to them scoreless.
Watching the Manly game on tv, Canterbury be the most hated squad, whereas Manly used to be the most hated. I if truth be told thought the game may budge into extra time until Orford popped the field dream over.
Great to see the Bulldogs get bested again. Just hope it continues in 2 weeks time (the finals).
Personally, and I don't indicate to be insulting, I think that those who get HUGE violent highs and lows from watching other folks play with ball are kinda sad.
Life DOES acquire much better.
Even though you think that, they are still second on the stepladder!
and the strom will win!!
Is AFL a girl's winter sport?
Question:Why would anyone watch or play AFL when they could be playing or watching the one and only real man's winter sport - Rugby?
Answers:
I would definately have to agree beside you on that. When you have the best squad in the world(ab's) you wouldn't want to study anything else.
rugby is a *** sport and thats that. People in rugby ** slap respectively other and get away beside it wheras footy players are more hardcore and they have to progress to a tribunal ok.
try going to www.yahoo.com.au sports forum
why is it a girl's game?
No Way Jose
No Rugby sux AFL adjectives the way
Is it the interstate supporters that own the inferiority complex?
Question:it gets commented alot that the "mexicans" are arrogant or that we enjoy an inferiority complex when it comes to footy, and you all close to to sink the boot into the vics, but i put it to you all that next to no victoria(where the game originated) here would be no footy period, and beside out the VFL being turned into the national league at hand would be no national league.
yes the interstate sides have the upper paw at the moment and personally i articulate good luck to you, its apposite for the game contained by general to hold different sides from different states winning the granny.
but i have an idea that deep down you adjectives know you play a VICTORIAN sport which you love, and it hurts you to think this so instead you pod us to help lighten that pain, but surrounded by doing so you show your insecurities about the vic's
Answers:
c'mon forky, who really give a toss?
Yes the non victorian teams are better at the present moment but that can effortlessly change hand. No team stays the best forever.
I don't regard as of it as a victorian sport because the game have evolved a lot since it be VFL and who really cares where on earth it originated from it is call 'Aussie Rules'.
I don't bag Victorians but I attain really pi ssed off every year that the GF is held within ESPECIALLY when there is no victorian troop even playing in it! but as I said until that time the game have evolved and the Vic's will soon loose there grip over the activity.
The funny thing around this question is that I couldn't keeping less.
My point is that, self a Queenslander, I'd rather monitor league or union than keep watch on AFL. The reason that more culture are turning to union and league is that we proposal a better and more exciting product.
Anyway, good luck near your aerial ping-pong. I hope that you'll know how to beat Ireland contained by your World Cup matches.
yes i agree
these clubs aligned the VFL because its the best the original 12 didn't affiliate the country bumpkin league of SA & WA
Well I don't bag Victorians or individuals from any other state. I support the Swans but I love a good clash irrespective of what state the teams are from. I own no insecurities and respect where and how the team game came to be so it's rather unfair to tarmacadam all non Victorians next to the same brush because of a couple of upset sacks. I love Aussie Rules but I love adjectives the other codes we play here also. They all own my support and respect.
No. It is the Victorians who have other had an fascination with whinging. The rest of us of late get on beside it.
thats discrimination.
I'm from perth and until I be 12 I knew Eagles, freo and the other team were adjectives the same. It wasnt til i be 13 i realised which teams be from where.
If the VFL wasnt made surrounded by victoria it would have be made in another sate. It's not a Victorian winter sport but an Australian game. So who really care - we are all within the same country, why does it thing which state is better?
I have never considered Victorians to be arrogant, they other seem to me to be a bit sad. They also see rivalries where on earth none exist and try to start arguments when no-one cares. Should we bow and tug our forelocks to England for inventing Rugby, Soccer, Hockey and Cricket? Of course not. What does it concern where the hobby originated? It is the Australian Football League not a State legue. It might hold been the VFL once, it isn't any more.
It is the Victorians who can't feel it, not the rest of the country. Englan invented all those sports and seldom win at any of them. Victoria invented Aussie Football and can't win at it so they get upset. They won't win again this year. Sydney will flay the Wiggles in the GF.
