Soccer within America?
Question:How come soccer isn't as popular in America as it is within other countries?
I a big sports fan but I use to individual watch basketball and football. Now I'm into soccer ever since I saw the World Cup. I saw a moment ago by flipping through the channels on TV that they don't really cover any of the soccer games here surrounded by America. I would truly love to see just as frequent soccer games as I see football, baseball, and basketball. So my question is, why are we so tired of something in this sport? It is terrifically entertaining.

Its just not one of the sports powerhouses within the USA.
One is brought up watching or following either A.Football, Basketball,Baseball or Hockey...because explicitly what gets the most headline and have the most traditions. ( Like Tailgate Parties since NFL Games..rivalries like the Yankees and RedSox surrounded by baseball...the chanting and geering )
In various other countries, Futbol is the main sport and along beside that comes many traditions to the spectator sport and people dream to soon play professionally. The same dream is inspired here but by the other more dominant sports.
Futbol is slowly coming along since the 1994 world cup...(from the introduction of the MLS (which still is not as attractive) to televising games from Europe and S. America).
But aslong as the big bucks, larger devotee base and the spotlight is still dominated by the MLB, NFL, NHL or NBA..athletes inspire more to that next the MLS.
I am optimistic because the exposure of club futbol from other countries within the USA can inspire kids/teens to pursue a Futbol career.

Soccer is too complicated for most Americans to comprehend. In a way it is profoundly like Hockey (offsides, purpose keeping, etc.) and there are a ton of empire that don't get the difference between the blue file and the red line. I don't ever see Soccer catching on because it is too difficult to cram and is there is too much pen for one to pay attention to.
My personal inference is that Americans are so used to seeing sports like American football and baseball that they freshly don't understand football(soccer). In certainty, this American guy I know went to a Barcelona v Real Madrid spectator sport a few years ago. While the average football fan would own killed to be at the winter sport, the guy thought that it was a stupid lavish of time because the score be 1-1. In America, winning is what is considerable than quality but feature is what makes football so interesting... at most minuscule to me.
I have 2 agree beside u on that one.i luv soccer but they barely show it within USA. Europe has soccer everywhere .So mayB we should start getting more into soccer...
Nothing personal, I simply don't see why this question pops up everyday. We own our sports, soccer isn't on the top of most peoples list of favorites. Maybe it'll break into the top 5 someday, I don`t know eventually the top 3, but it's a ways off and if it ever happen, its gonna take a while.

I know what u mean. Ever since the world cup im addicted too. Fox soccer warren is my new addiction but they individual air italian and english league. I think soccer is much more of a big buy and sell over there because its adjectives about city and country pride and they dont own all of the other sports we hold so we have city pride for football but soccer get black balled in the states. Its a shame psyche love to see a match surrounded by person
