Ooh, i loved my gymnastics module when I was a kid. It qualified me balance, grace, restraint, and perseverance. Whenever I did recital, it taught me how to get something done in front of an audience, and I loved that too.
I'd enjoy thought the main values would be self dicipline, unyielding work and dedication.

Unfortunately, intake lots of spaghetti is not the answer. As a matter of certainty, loading too heavily the night formerly can have denial effects on your racing. But I don't construe that was what you be really after.
I'm by no means a runner, but I dream up that is what qualify me to answer this question ably. I started training for this season (for Orlando 70.3 & IM Lake Placid) in December at extremely low heart rate, steadily increasing volume contained by both my running and biking. When I started, I was running 10:15 minute mile stride at the top end of my aerobic heart rate zone. Fast forward to today. I'm running 8:40 minute mile gait at the same heart rate as past. I'm obviously not breaking any collection. However, for me, this was a seemingly impossible occurence.
Three fundamental training principles led to the above promotion...
1) Keeping heart rate, especially early surrounded by the season, on many of my runs at specific heart rate thresholds. When you preserve your heart rate at specific thresholds (ie. - endurance aerobic or max aerobic function), and slowly bump up over those heart rates for short period of time, you will start to see measurable improvement within your run efficiency (faster step at same or lower heart rate equals energy saved).
2) Incorporate bricks as module of your weekend workouts on a regular basis. Even if it's a short 2-mile or 30-minute run after a long weekend ride, you stipulation to get your legs used to turning at a running rate stale the bike. It helps to come within from your ride the last 2-3 miles at a noticably superior cadence surrounded by an easier gear.
3) and most importantly. LIFTING. I can't say adequate about the power of POWER. Many amateur triathletes suppose that by doing longer runs/rides/swims, etc... only, they will prepare themselves adequetely for triathlon, and that may be true for some to a persuaded point. But for me, I hit a barrier where on earth longer and longer distances didn't increase my performance. To see measurable restoration in your run split, lifting is an essential component to triathlon training. I've hear, although I have not tried it even so, that jumping rope, within addition to lifting, is a surefire means of access to increase your stamina on the run. I will expected incorporate it next season, as I capture beyond the pain of research how to run a full marathon surrounded by the IM distance.
