Hi there,
Great theory to hold a party within the park - helps expend their enthusiasm!! What about hiring a trampoline for the afternoon. Also you could have some relay race made up from teams. You don't involve a lot of equipment for it, a short time ago some 'bases' and do bounce the ball on the paddle, or run to the first base and hindmost, and repeat that to all three basis. What about tug-o-war next to a big rope? The old favourites are also appropriate, for Easter you could do egg and spoon races etc! You could also do 'first to find' - hail as all the kids together and read out first back next to.. could be a leaf bad of a tree, a red t-shirt etc.
Have fun hope this helps!!
A well brought-up idea for kids that age is a mini olympics.own say 6 actions, groups of four, rotating to complete all comings and goings. It is very cheap to purchase a small trophy for the knockout, and cheap plastic medals for everyone else. Activities could include discus throwing using a frisbee, long submerge, an individual timed circuit of the area, throwing a raining sponge into a bucket from a distance (this is hard but heaps of fun), the longest time for keeping a soccer globe off the ground, first to devour a donut attached to string dangling from a tree branch. Just some ideas...hope you hold fun!
If it is warm plenty, definitely set up a "water" barrier course. Sponge toss, "swim" thru a very small kiddie pool, dodgeball beside water balloon...stuff like that.
Whoever come up with this model, is a great thinker. Great work!
