I have not lone been within your position.several times, I have also judge and now am a coach. I perceive very qualified to answer this query!
So.As a current high institution cheer coach, I can tell you what we expect from our girls.
First and foremost we stress academic. Being a good cheerleader requires a large amount of practice, and this can sometimes hurt your grade point average. We other stress that you can't go on within life to be paid a living at cheerleading.you have to enjoy an education to do that. Girls must keep going a 2.5 or better grade point average or risk one dropped from the squad for a season. If the grade point average is not raise, she is dropped for the year.
As for the actual requirements:
Knowledge of routines, cheers and chants: Know them backwards and forwards.ably enough to get going them anywhere in the middle of the cheer. I own seen various good candidate dropped due to the inability to start a cheer at any point in the routine. We prepare one cheer, one chant and a pretty complex 1 minute bop routine. The girls are given 3 days to learn this next to tryouts on day 4.
Tumbling/Gymnastics to include cartwheel, roundoff, and posterior hand spring. Girls who can do a tuck usually grasp extra points.
Flexibility and Posture: Be able to do splits and make well stretch. In a Liberty or heal stretch position, hold your harmonize for 20 seconds. Extra points are given for girls who can do arabesques or scorpions. You can see examples of this at cheerleading.in the region of.com
Judges always look for sense of self and smiles as well as how capably the contender keeps their movements sharp and contained by proper form! No sloppy arms, wrists etc. You can lose lots of points in this nouns.
The girls must do 3 jumps: herkie, toe touch, 1 other. You can work on these first on the floor.stretching yourself a moment ago a little bit more everyday until you hold proper form. Then work on taking it to the air. When you enjoy your prep and jump perfect, put 1 pound weights on each ankle and rear with them on from that point on. When it comes time for tryouts, bear the weights off...you'll step higher than ever because you hold become used to jumping beside more weight!
Most of adjectives, the judges are looking for girls who enjoy the ability to work as a squad and engage the crowd to cheer on their academy! make the courts feel approaching cheering with you by adjectives them every time you get a providence.
On tryout day, drink a good breakfast...beside complex carbs. Go to the tryouts with your pelt up off of your obverse and in a ponytail, little or no makeup and no jewelry. Let them know that you are a serious contender and not near for a beauty contest!

hope that help!
oh...and good luck!
we look for cheerfulness, smile, poise, flexibility, and i similar to to see the girls that are aware of the game they are cheering for so that they don't do the wrong cheers...
Judges look for mostly tumbling skills, loudness, sharpness, your smile =], etc. Work on your jump especially. most likely if you landscape a standing tuck you'll get extra points which will manifestly help you construct the team.
If you are surrounded by a pickle within soft bubble, is it better to slide or charge the other method?
Question:if the person your running at of late got the bubble
Answers:
It depends on a few different factors - in attendance are many things to lift into consideration.
If you are faster than the person who simply got the orb and you are near a underside if you run the other way, you should turn and try to out run them to that platform.
Also, if you think you are going to be paid an out... try to make the out advance to the next dais. This is obviously beneficial if you closing up being locked. But it gives the runner aft you a chance to credit if you are out.
Another thing to remember is that if you turn and run the other mode you can try to draw obstruction from a fielder who is in part in the floor path but doesn't own the ball.
I ruminate you would have more prospect of being undamaging if you charge back the other route, Because it your running towards the person next to the ball, they will hold more chance of getting out because they can run straight to you, but if your run hindmost, they will have to throw it and they might not corner it. =)
Neither, you dive over them.well me one 6'6 makes it easier to step over people if they are crouched down trying to product a tag
