A friend of mine went to a pattern site of some American golf club, down loaded the logo, cut and pasted it on a card size template he made on pagemaker or some other desktop publishing software and TA DA! he have a cert. He had it laminated (it's in the order of the same size as a credit card) and it looks pretty genuine. Real enough so not a soul has challanged it.
This handicap ticket stuff is a pain for green duty players who play a variety of retribution and play courses and don't want to pay for club strong views. My friend put his real estimated handicap (14) on the card and everyone be happy. If the aim of have a handicap cert is to show you actually play golf at a wearing clothes level, I hold no problem with his fudging a wee bit.
