With the Callaway Golf GES set of 7 clubs what do you use contained by sand?

Question:I just get the Callaway GES club set that I bought on Ebay. It has three woods, three irons which are I presume are hybrids but these are my first golf clubs so I'm a bit confused and a putter. There is no wedge, or at lowest nothing that say it is a wedge. The clubs are adjectives labeled as driver, long fairway wood, mid fairway wood, long iron, mid iron, short iron and obviously putter. So I am curious if anyone know which of these clubs I would use in sand? Right presently I am just practicing driving but eventually I want to play on a course so will involve to know which to use. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.
Answers:

Out of the sand you want to play the club that have the most loft. That way the globe will get out easier. I recommend using your short iron for greenside bunkers (Ones right by the green) and I reccomend your mid iron for fairway bunkers (Ones far from the hole along the fairway)
You really entail to get a sand block or some sort of high lofted block (lob wedge, fissure wedge, 56 degree +) for sand shots. The high lofted wedge are the only club that the trailing limit will contact the surface (sand) before the principal edge and will effect the 'bounce' necessary to loft the bubble out of the sand. You can pick up cheap wedges (5-20$) from most golf courses that go used clubs that had be lost from the previous year.
With just those clubs, you'd want to use the "short iron" on most sand shots around the green. I would recommend that you put in a Sand Wedge to your bag. Like anything else as a neophyte, you don't need to spend premium dollars for a top-line club, especially for the amount you'll be using it.
But a Sand Wedge have a specially designed sole (the base of the club that would rest on the floor if you be holding the club normally). This design keeps the clubhead from digging into the sand too extremely, so you can complete a full swing from the sand bunker. Your regular irons wouldn't have that, so it would be much harder to cram this shot if you tried using them.
The short iron if the face of the club have a slant on it. so it can get underneath the bubble that is what you want to do...hit the ground right losing the ball and commonly follow thru unless u have no room on the green for the globe to run
Hope this helps and don't offer up great game and really help you relax we all necessitate to do that
I just checked the specifications online for that set.

It say that the "Short Iron" has 55* of loft. That is the loft of a everyday sandwedge, anywhere form 54*-56*. So that is definately your sand club, it's exactly approaching a sandwedge!

I hope this helps you out, hold fun learning golf!
