Answers:

I know of 2 in municipal courses that hold out a student discount in London, Brent Valley Ealing and Richmond Park. Richmond is the tougher more amusing golf course, Brent Valley Ealing is cheaper.
Jesus. What you studying at university? Accountancy? Law? My word. University for all, they speak. All the people I despise, apparently.
Wow! Andrew J sounds markedly convincing doesn't he? Assuming he's also correct, I hope you enjoy. PS Doesn't only just about everywhere tender a student discount?

Ryder cup, brillient, what do you deliberate?

Question:golf
Answers:

Here you go man!

Darren Clarke !! Yes he lost his wife, but even otherwise, goddamm he played, the PUtt on 12th on sunday! My god !

I contemplate the americans have freshly proven that they are conceted as a nation, they dont have a US national squad worth its weight within any team sport. Whenever they play thier "SELF INVENTED TEAM SPORTS" its other "ALL AMERICAN" look at NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA its all thier own sports and thier own championship.

Its hightime they played real international sports as a squad, SOCCER for example, its a global sport, why do they obtain shot out in the league.

At the Ryder cup, they proved that they were not a squad , weak knuckle punches, no bonding, doomed to failure body language, it be all a mess ! Look at the fire Sergio & Lee Westwood carried, of late to name the top 2 most fired. the eurpoeans at thier worst hugged eachother after a put go in, More repeatedly than not they stopped short of humping legs!
But our "AMERICANS" you didnt see a high five even. You cant win squad sports without have that "to die for" spirit, not at this level.

I have a sneaking suspicion that they need to sit down and get that there is a world beyond the red white and blue, 5.7Billion individuals live there and respectively and everyone is better than you! Ryder cup just proved that americans are adjectives fart !
I really can't stand the spectacle of watching golf. What is the actual point of it all?
A great TEAM result by adjectives of Europe.
Three years on the trot.
The U. S .A team are seriously spooked by the European players.
As a non golfer, but big sportsfan, it be a great event. Add in the Darren Clarke factor, and I agree beside you. Brilliant.
golf and snooker have to be the most boring of adjectives spectator sports, am I right, but to play them both is a different matter. Watching the games themselves, I devise, only players of the sports can really have a feeling the full benifit.
i hate tennis
Oh my god,I am sick of the flipping hobby. My husband not only plays the pointless sport but he bores us to demise by oggling at the screen watching it.HOW BORING!
The best bit be Woosnam drinking champagne from the bottle on the balcony, drinking too much and bringing it adjectives back up. Did you see that snot!
Yes. I know the Americans could not win again this time. They are way too serious and mostly do not catch along. I am an American and knew this when they name the team. Congratulations.
It's flipping fantastic. It's the single Golf tournament I take make out of and I just love it. I can't lurk for 2 years time now. USA must win it subsequent time. It's ridiculous that they've not won it the last 3 times. I'm more enthusiastic about it than I ever am give or take a few England playing football. I always want Europe to stuff USA. Infact whallop them. It's very close to my heart.
barrier man i think we the USA inevitability to learn how to play as a troop what another big disappointment . we can't win in international play surrounded by basketball /baseball/ and now golf .the usa team really suck
it was awesome.

the excitement shown by the lads was great. we ably and truly kicked *. how bad losers are USA they looked miserable throughout the unharmed event. Tigers caddy losing his 9 iron in the sea was funny.
The fan were great towards both team and the reception DC got be pretty touching. it must of been tough for him.

anyway troop europe were simple awesome.
yes it be! Europe put in an excellent deeds and lookedlike winning from the start. By the route did u see Paul Casey's hole-in-one on the 14th better than Verplanks the next light of day
I watched and it be great our boys done well, I need I had be to the party ending night
Great available job Europe your guys played some outstanding golf as an American Golfer I enjoyed the fantastic shotmaking the Europeans displayed , too impossible we lost but it was some awesome golf ! Congratulations !

What does slope tight-fisted on a scorecard?

Answers:

"Slope Rating"

Definition: USGA Slope Rating is a number ranging from 55 to 155 that represents the difficulty of a course for bogey golfers relative to the USGA Course Rating (which represents the difficulty for mark golfers).
Slope rating is not expressed in strokes, but, a bit, is a ratio. The higher the slope, the more difficult the course plays for bogey golfers. A slope rating of 113 is considered average.

Slope rating plays an earth-shattering role in figure handicap indexes and also is used to figure course handicaps.

How are Course Rating and Slope Rating Determined?

Course rating and slope rating are calculated for a course on the foundation of a visit to the course by a USGA rating troop.
The rating team will spend time beside the course's staff going over the course and will spend a lot of time on the course taking measurements of a variety of things. The USGA recommends that the rating squad play the course either beforehand or after the rating visit, too.

Based on the information gleaned during the visit(s), the course rating and course slope will be calculated, certified by the appropriate overseeing golf associations and given to the club, which after posts the ratings on its scorecard and elsewhere.

Course rating used to be based almost solely on length. The longer the course, the complex the rating. Distance and obstacles in a minute come into play.

The rating team will step over the course with an eye to how both score golfers and bogey golfers will play it.

A scratch golfer, contained by this use, is defined by the USGA as a male golfer who hits his drive 250 yard and can reach a 470-yard hole contained by two; or a female golfer who hits her drives 210 yard and can reach a 400-yard hole within two (and, of course, plays to scratch).

A bogey golfer, within this use, is defined by the USGA as a male golfer beside a handicap index of 17.5 to 22.4, who hits his drives 200 yards and can accomplish a 370-yard hole in two; and a feminine golfer with a handicap index of 21.5 to 26.4, who hits her drives 150 yard and can reach a 280-yard hole surrounded by two.

So, for instance, on a 400-yard hole, the team will budge 200 yards down the fairway to analyze the landing nouns for a bogey golfer; and 250 yards down the fairway to analyze the landing nouns for a scratch golfer.

What obstacle were encounter along the way? What is the state of the fairway at respectively spot for each golfer? What angle is moved out to the green? What obstacles still away? How far is the approach shot for respectively? What is the height and get of trees? And so on.
Taking into account length and obstacle, and experience gleaned from playing the course, the rating team will evaluate the overall difficulty of the course underneath normal playing conditions and issue the course rating for cut into golfers.

Likewise, they will issue the bogey rating for bogey golfers.

The bogey rating is then used to multiply slope, which, remember, is a number representing the relative difficulty of a course for bogey golfers compared to scratch golfers. The division that determines slope is this: bogey course rating minus USGA course rating x 5.381 for men or 4.24 for women.

The "effective playing length" and "stumbling block stroke value" are the determining factors surrounded by course rating and bogey rating.

Effective playing length is exactly that - not the actual yardage on a hole or a shot, but how it actually plays. Is at hand a downslope that will add yard? An upslope? Is the course at altitude, which will produce more length? What's the height of the fairway grass, which will affect roll? Are within forced lay-ups?

Obstacle stroke value is a numerical rating of the difficulty presented by obstacle on the course. The course is rated surrounded by 10 categories: topography; effortless or difficulty of hitting the fairway; propability of hitting the green from the fairway landing area; difficulty of bunkers and probability of hitting into them; probability of hitting out of bounds; how much sea will come into play; how trees affect play; speed and contouring of the greens; and the psychological effect of all these things.

The rating troop will look at all these things for both score golfers and bogey golfers, and from every set of tees. And then follow the USGA's four formulas (male mark golfer, female scrape golfer, male bogey golfer, womanly bogey golfer), some adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, and produce its numbers.

And you thought rating a course be easy!

Golf FAQ: What is Slope Rating?

Slope rating (a residence trademarked by the USGA) is a measurement of the difficulty of a course for bogey golfers relative to the course rating.

Course rating tell scratch golfers how difficult the course will be; slope rating tell bogey golfers how difficult it will be.

The minimum slope is 55 and the maximum is 155 (slope does not relate specifically to strokes played as course rating does). The slope rating for a course of average difficulty is 113.

Like course rating, slope rating is done for each set of tees on a course, and a course may hold a separate slope rating for certain tees for women.

Slope rating is a factor contained by the calculation of handicap index, and is also used to determine the course handicap.

The most prominent role of slope is leveling the playing field for players of different skill level. For example, let's say Player A and Player B average a evaluation of 85 for 18 holes. But Player A's average is established on a very difficult course (say, a slope rating of 145), while Player B's average is established on a thoroughly easy course (say, a slope rating of 95). If handicaps be simply estimates of golfers' average scores, consequently these two players would have like handicap index. But Player A is clearly the better golfer, and in a contest between the two Player B would clearly need some strokes.

Slope rating allows the handicap index to imitate these factors. Because he plays on a course near a higher slope rating, Player A's handicap index will be lower than Player B's (when it is calculated using the slope ratings), despite the certainty that they both average scores of 85. So when A and B win together to play, B will get those extra strokes he requests.

Slope is primarily used in the U.S., but golf associations contained by other countries are beginning to adopt slope or similar systems.

Golf FAQ: Why is Slope Rating Called "Slope"?

Slope. It doesn't trademark much sense, given what it means, does it? Why did the USGA choose the permanent status "slope" to represent the relative difficulty of courses for bogey golfers?
When the USGA added slope rating to the pre-existing course rating, in the impulsive 1980s, it did so because of something that had other been unmistakable. The more difficult a course is, the greater the descrepancy is between the scores of stronger and weaker players.

The course rating system did not depiction for that factor; slope does.

Imagine two players, Player A and Player B. Player A is a six handicapper, Player B is a 16 handicapper. On a course of average difficulty (slope of 113), both players are likely to play close to their handicaps.

But as course difficulty increases, Player B's score will rise faster than Player A's. On a course with a slope of 135, Player B might entail an additional 10 strokes, while Player A might solely need an other 3.

Now, imagine that descrepancy plotted on a graph. The graph lines of both players A and B would rise as the course difficulty increased - but the strip of Player B would rise at a much steeper angle than that of Player A.

The slope of a weaker player's scoring graph is steeper than that of a stronger player's. And there you budge. The term "slope" - referring to relative steepness of the graph procession of a weaker player's scores - be chosen to represent the USGA's new method of rating course difficulty for bogey golfers.

Hey, they have to call it something.
The slope is used to determine your over/under win when used with your handicap index. It is base off down the course, and playing conditions such as number of bunkers, amount of water, etc. The greater the slope is the more strokes you get when you play the course.
It is a numerical merit that reflects the overall difficulty obviously, especially for higher handicap players.

Not adjectives 6,500 yard, par 72 courses are created equal. Some are flat and unfurl (slope below 112) , others are very tight, next to lots of hazards (slope complex than 112).

The course rating is the average projected score for a gash golfer. The slope affects higher handicapped players more than it does better golfers. That's because more difficult courses are much harder comparitively for giant handicapped players than they are for good golfers.

Both the rating and the slope are used contained by the PGA handicap calculations.

In nonspecific, if you're an average or higher handicap player, plan you shoot in the 90's or 100's, the slope will be a better indicator of how hard a course is for you than the course rating. If you shoot within the 70's/low 80's then the rating is a better indicator of the difficulty of the course. And if you flop in between (mid 80's - low 90's), next the values have more or less equal weight for you skill stratum.
The USGA through state golf associations gives respectively course ratings based on its difficulty to use contained by association with a USGA handicap index. The slope is determined using the gash rating for the courseor the rating for someone with a 0 USGA handicap index and the bogey rating, 20 USGA index. Then taking the two ratings and applying algebra to find the slope. (and you didn't presume you would ever use algebra).
