Question:why call 4
Answers:

It's if truth be told "fore!" and not "four".it's a warning to population in front to see out because the ball is heading their bearing.it's old college for "incoming!" or "duck!"
they are calling fore, to forewarn someone of an errant shot that might hit them
To get people's attention so they don't go and get hit in teh lead with the globe.
They're not saying "four", they're adage "fore", which means "forward of" or "contained by front", as in, I guess, "my bubble is in front of me (but not where on earth I intended it to go)", so if you hear someone behind you shriek "fore", heads up for an incoming bubble.
i never hit a bad shot rotten the tee so i couldnt narrate you
They call "four" because they want to create sure everyone is paying attention and won't carry hit with the bubble.

yes the answers are right, comes from old sailing days, fore ahead.
You merely say this if the globe is coming very close to a individual. That way they enjoy a warning that a bubble might hit them

Fore is short for forewarned, it gives the gallery mortgage warning that a errant golfball is coming their bearing.
It comes from Scotland. Forewarned. Just like oodles words in the English speech. Shortened for expediancy sake.
