What be the lowest mark surrounded by language of below par made by Arnold Palmer during his best years as pro?

Question:I'm trying to see if today's pro scores, as contained by Ben Curtis' -15 winning rack up at the 84 Lumber Classic today, are comparable to previous era scores.
Answers:

Mike Souchak shot 27 below par at the texas open within 1955. HUM 51 years ago. So yeah they shoot about duplicate. I think the players of the 30's 40's and 50's are better than the ones today. The equpiment have made them all alike. Tiger Woods is the "only" one who tries to play his best on every shot. Gary McCord ruined the tour with the top 125 exempt. Golf be much different, you had to play to trademark money. Not just coast. And their are PGA pros that lately go thru the motions if they realize they are not going to win or label the cut.

What's a accurate set for a begginer/average player?

Question:I play for my local golf team and I'm looking to buy a strange set. Currently I play with a cheap Foremost set that I bought 4 years ago. The Max i want to spend is $300. I average around a 100 everytime I play next to the best I ever shot being an 89 next to my current set. However, when I played with an outdated Nike set of my uncle's I shot an 84. Do clubs really matter? and Which below $300 would u reccommend.
Answers:

Golden Bear set at Costco , you have everything you necessitate to get started.
Cougar 12 Peice Golf Set
Take a look at the Jack Nicklaus clubs at COSTCO. I've be through two models, and I think you can't lick it for the money invested. I think they currently provide for $249.
rockbottemgolfoutlet.com he has nice set of adams clubs for aroung 250USD
This is what I would do:

Go to www.pinggolf.com and use their Flash tool to capture a static fitting done. It's free. Then buy a set of Ping Eye 2's that most closely match your characteristics on eBay. You will most expected pay around 160 dollars for a 3-PW set.

Then, I would jump to a website like RockBottomGolf, 3Balls, or Dallas Golf, and look through their used drivers and fairway woods. At this point contained by your game, you'd be foolish to spend deeply of money on your driver. Get a decent 3 wood, and hit it stale the tee instead.

With a semi-fitted set, you will swing the club much more intrinsically and will benefit as a result.

FWIW, the shaft is of far more importance within a golf club than anything else. If you have a choice between a used set of Adams woods beside high competence shafts (like UST), or Callaways or Nikes with slighter shafts, go beside the shaft 10/10 times.
