How do sea golf driving ranges recycle their ball??

Question:I've seen a couple of driving ranges that you hit your ball into a big man made lake near a few island "greens" in them. It make me wonder how they get the ball out to reuse them. Also, how long does it take for a golf bubble to get water-logged?

My friend who be once a club pro says they hire scuba divers and I believe that's a little too much work. They gotta enjoy some kinda machine. Also, I be thinking, they probably have concrete bottoms to formulate it easier too. Maybe even a slanted bottom so all the ball roll to one spot.

Anybody know FOR SURE?

one of two ways if the water be man made it can be drained..or they do get individuals to dive for them to go receive them.. and if its a driving range the do something to the bottom where on earth the ball would move to one location or another so the majority of the ball would be there
ha i enjoy never seen this but that have to be pretty cool. I would guess that your friend is right or maybe resembling you sed the ground is slanted so all the ball go to one spot.
The with the sole purpose one that I have be to in Reno, NV (outside of the Reno Hilton) uses special ball that float. They are not regulation balls (of course) and do not travel as far - but they enjoy a boat and a big trawling net that they run, basically like a land-based field
Not sure about driving ranges...but The course I Play most have several holes that a lake comes into play on..every year they hire a Company to come out and virtually dredge the mere for balls. They use weighted net.

A very interesting interview: As I understand it, some gentlemen be playing golf when no number of holes were designated. They would play 6, 10, 15, 18, 24 etc., like holes being played several times. One hoary gentleman used to bring a bottle of whiskey next to him and have a chalice on each hole. He found that it single lasted for 18 holes so that be that. It became the norm....

Who go first when a group is playing 18 holes at a 9 hole golf course?

Question:This led to an argument end weekend and I can't find any rules posted anywhere. I was waiting near two other guys to play a 9 hole course and it was a pretty busy hours of daylight so there be a line of roughly speaking 12 people waiting to nouns off on hole #1. Right past my group was up the threesome that have just finished #9 go right up to the tee box approaching they were subsequent. Their argument was that if you're playing 18, you seize to jump surrounded by line and nouns off on 1, resembling your '10th' hole. Our argument was that we have already been waiting an hour and in attendance were 12 other citizens waiting as well (at the time it would own gotten dark too, and we never would hold finished 9 if we waited any longer). I asked the guy to show me where on earth this rule was posted. We took it up next to clubhouse and they told us we could go ahead, but somehow that group get to go bringing up the rear us. This doesn't make any sense to me, if you're going to try to play 18 on a 9 hole course it seem you should jump contained by the back of the rank when you get to #1.

First of adjectives in that situation nearby should be a ranger directing flow. But in broad the group coming off of the 9th green should own the right of way. Alternating resembling you did is very possible. But it seems similar to that is poor mangement on behalf of the course.
it's other been my experience at the golf course that the group near the lowest number of people within it tees first. that or you line up within the order you arrive contained by. the gorup playing 18 shoul've had to skulk their turn. otherwise wouldn't everyone say they're playing 18 holes??
I am not sure this any written rule, but at the one club I play explicitly 9 holes. The rule is when you come off the 9th hole, you bring back to alternate in. So I guess that be what the threesome was trying to do. Hope it didn't screw over your round.
Alternating seem like the adjectives sense thing to do. This is why I antipathy playing on 9 hole courses on the weekends.
there call for to be a ground rule at the course
I don't think here is an official rule but at several clubs including the ones I play at there are signs stating"Players coming rotten 9th green have right away on the 10th nouns. I think it primary courtesy. Put your self in their shoes, you wouldn't want to be penalize for getting to the course early and starting ahead of time...

I want to caddy at a golf course...what will I need to do and what should I be expecting?

Answers:

I just started 2 work as a caddy 2 weeks ago. Where I am we are considered independant contractors.meaning we work when we want 2. All our money comes in the form of tips from the golfer but this will vary depending on each course or country club. You can probably expect 25-35$ per bag per round. Depending on how busy it is and how many caddies you may get 2 go out twice in 1 day and caddy 2 rounds. After some practice you may be able to carry 2 bags and caddy 2 golfers at same time and make around 50-60 per round for both bags. Hours are most likely morning to early afternoon as that is when the course is busiest. But they may have an afternoon league or soemthing a few days a week. But I would be prepared 2 work from about 7 AM on. You might not get called right away. If there are 15 caddies waiting u may get called 12th, which means u have 2 wait for the 12th golfer to come that wants a caddy..so u may arrive at 7 AM and not start caddying til around 9AM.and u do not get paid for those 2 hours. Expect to walk around 4-5 miles for 18 holes. There may be days when u go to the course and dont caddy at all. What duties u need to do.hand them clubs, tend pin, rake sandtraps, keep track of their ball, estimate yardage, carry clubs, wipe clubs occasionally replace divots. Caddying 1 bag is easy and ull be fine at it after 2-3 times out. I would just show up at the golf course and ask some1 who works there where the caddymaster is. Just explain to him ur situation...he will probably tell u 2 come for a walk around. That means u follow another caddy out and just observe...so u prolly dont get paid. After 1-3 walk arounds ull start carrying 1 bag urself. It helps if u play golf. Basically guy tees off.u watch his ball.go 2 it...find yardage.tell him.he takes club.hits ball...u keep track of it..go 2 it.hand him club.he hits green.u put bag down on way 2 next hole and take out putter and driver.hand him putter and take care of the pin...he putts his ball in.u take putter and hand him driver.then he goes 2 tee box.u start down nexr fairway picking up bag on the way and he tees off. This is how a good hole will go. But they will hit bunkers and miss the green and all that, but the job itself is easy. To get paid a lot learn how 2 read greens and suggest clubs and stuff like that and KBNOW THE COURSE WELL. KNOW PIN PLACEMENTS, SLOPE OF GREEN, BUNKER LOCATIONS, WIND DIRECTION, WHERE OB IS, ETC. Some places pay a caddy say $10 a bag plus tips, others are all tips, others are all from the golf course itself w/ no tips. Good part of all tips is that its cash and no taxes are taken out so its better than getting a paycheck that the government takes taxes out of. Expect to work a few days a week in the morning most likely, 1-3 rounds of training. And then around 25-30 a bag per round. Know where to stand so as not to crowd them or be in there way. And shut up lol. Dont say anything unless they ask for it, unless its wind or yardage or something. Dont try 2 talk to them and start asking them what they do 4 a living, where they live, etc. Some golfers will want to talk 2 u. Others play golf to escape and dont want some pesky kid annoying them lol. So be quiet unless they talk 2 u first.

Hope this helps. Email me with any questions
