Hockey Questions and Answers

If Anaheim beat Detroit surrounded by this series, who would you fairly win the cup Ottawa or Anaheim? Why?

Question:Although I like what Anaheim have done with their troop in recent season, I am going to have to enunciate Ottawa. They have be very productive for times past 5+ years or so, and play the kind of hockey I resembling seeing. I really wouldn't mind the Ducks winning one, but I will be rooting for Ottawa regardless.
Answers:

Definately the sens. I will hold the heatley, spezza and alfredson line over any other string of the 3 remaining teams moved out in it. Amazing talent (especially proven surrounded by the last hobby of the ottawa buffalo series
ottawa. i'm not a fan, but i be born there, soo..
I reckon it will be pretty evenly matched, honestly. Of course, being American, I will cheer for Anaheim, although I do approaching Ottawa as a team...nobody thought they would run through the East resembling they did
Anaheim Ducks, i originally liked them, but next became a sabres devotee because i live in buffalo, and Ottawa slaughter the Sabres, so definitely the Ducks.
Ottawa, but later I live in Canada!
Anaheim Ducks, I purely like them more than the Sens.
I'm funding Ottawa no matter who they play.
Anaheim, and not newly because I'm a Sabres girl, either! I abominate saying it because I'm an East Coast girl, but the Western team this year have adjectives looked better than most of the Eastern Conference contenders. The Ducks have this tremendous drive and talent, and the Sens hold kind of cruised through the playoffs up until this point. No concern what happens, it's going to be a close series to the terminate, and one well worth watching!
Ottawa, can't stand the Ducks. However, I construe it will be Detroit vs Ottawa, and I will be for Detroit!
i'd say ottawa to.
ottawa desreves it..after their former failures they pulled throught this time and are lately wow. they look unstoppable, nothing could be in motion wrong, even when they loose, it still seems they dominated the winter sport. anaheim is a great team. but they are shielding minded, and the only own two defensmen that play all the time. granted, those two are probably 2/3 of the best contained by the league, they'l tire out soon and won't be able to touch the spezza, heatly, alfredsson (spelling?) line. also they are helpful of like NJ. go well together lines, with pronger neider and the other neider stripe against the other teams top rank, but ottawa gets goal from every line and have alot of depth, they can alos split that top line up and the ducks would be on their heels
sens over ducks within 5 or 6.
I have to vote Ottawa.
It has be a while for them, a play off drought.
They own played extremely well and deserve to win
Good One the Ducks, Thrid Canadian Team losing the Thrid Straight Stanley Cup Finals, Let it be Reality, GO DUCKS.
Go Sens!
this is a tough examine, and hypothetical. I mean, Detriot is going to win the series and after Ottawa is going to run over Det who is undermaned. I think the run and gun style of the Sens will ruin any of the westerners chances.
Plus, when you hold a dirty/cheap team resembling the Ducks, you deserve to be punished for a very, outstandingly long time. i.e. Prongers hit on Holmstrom and Mays punch to a defenseless Kim Johnson of the Wild. May got past its sell-by date easy. he should own recieved something in the time frame of Chris Simon's 20 gamer past the playoffs this year.
Sens over Wings in 6. Go SENS!
i'll be rooting for anahiem. they've be to the finals before (yes as the Mighty ducks but still). they know what the finals are resembling. yes while its not the exact same team as when they go to the finals in 2003. they still enjoy the same star players and they can front them to a win I think.
The Ducks, because if they can time Hasek, Emery is nothing.
Neither. How almost we call it a season and downfall it there. :) Hah, I can dream can't I?

Detroit wishes to win. I am Canadian, but I'm a loyal Detroit fan. I love adjectives their teams, and be to several games growing up. Yzerman will always be a hockey God to me.

Honestly though, if I be forced to pick, Ottawa. Sole reason because I despise Anaheim more after anything. Pronger, go away!
Anaheim played reaallyy flawless today especially coming back to win it!! i want them to travel to the finals from Western!! BUT Ottawa Deserves it gee enough said from someone whose a Leafs hanger-on!! but it would have be worse of it was Montreal here instead of Ottawa!!
anybody but ottawa!!!!!!!
i'm a detroit disciple. so i always root for them, (unless we acquire Forsberg, afterwards i won't be a fan anymore)

1) customarily i root for the Canadian team, out of respect for the game's roots
2) however, i don't close to Alfredsson or Heatley, or Bryan Murray
3) if it were 2 American owned team, i usually root for the west (i think it's stronger) but I don't resembling the ducks, i don't like Selanne, or Pronger (and it have NOTHING to do w/ his hit on Holmstrom). i've never liked Pronger. cuz he's over-rated. i don't antipathy him, but he's like the "popular" kid within high institution. he's big, so every one thinks he's great. he's not. he's lately big. I would totally root for SJ.

but because i think the west is stronger, and both the ducks and wing have more Stanley Cup Finals experience, i'm gonna root for the West title holder ... either instrument.

Who is the NHL's Most Improved Player?

Question:I'm not sure if the NHL awards this, but who would you consider to be the most improved from later year?

Also, dont include great players who had an bad year last year (this includes childish stars like Crosby who are enhanced over last year because its their sophomore year)

I'm looking for individuals in at hand mid 20's to late 30's who have their "breakout year" this year
Answers:

Forward: Dan Cleary
Defenseman: Kevin Bieksa
Goalie: Chris Mason

Biggest Underachievers:

Forward: Samsonov
Defenseman: Kubina
Goalie: Gerber
Dan Cleary, at least for Detroit.
Sean Avery. He's never be seen as an abhorrent threat before this year, and he's enhanced greatly since coming to NYR.
Zach Parise
ryan clowe in the begining of 2007
No brainer- David Legwand FINALLY lived up to his billing.
Dan cleary
hmm. Shanahan.
A lot of appropriate answers.
Cleary, Avery etc

I'd say Vanek.
I agree beside most ppl here with Dan Cleary coming out of nowhere, he deserves lots of consideration. I wouldn't count Vanek because hes still babyish, if you put him in you could also manufacture a case for Milan Michalek. Amazing what a 15 year contract did for Rick DiPietro, other had the potential to be great, but this be the first season I think he in reality proved it. I think Daniel Briere made some serious strides former times few years, he probably would've had a great season a year ago but he get hurt, and all of a sudden he almost puts up 100 points this year, and he be a leader on a strong Sabres troop so I'd give him the nod.
Marc Andre Fleury. Yes the Pens have Crosby/Malkin/Staal, but without correct goaltending no team can enjoy a 100 point season. He gets overlooked beside the exciting young players on the squad.

I'd give honorable mentions to Mike Cammaleri, David Legwand, Chris Mason, and Alexander Semin.
Thomas Vanek
Last season he have 25 Goals 23 Assists with a -11 rating not a bleak year but this year look at his numbers..
43 Goals 41 assists with a +47 rating!

This kid be benched in the playoffs concluding year and I think it lite a fire lower than him!

What squad will be most superior subsequent season (2007-2008)? Why?

Question:I know it is early, and the cup hasn't even be decided on the other hand, but who do you think will be the most superior team subsequent season? I know it is a homer pick, but I believe the Flyers will be vastly improved. With adjectives the young talent they enjoy aquired already, and with the prospect of getting some FA facilitate (Briere, Drury, Gomez, and Timmonen), I think that they could be right vertebrae in contention subsequent season.
Answers:

I think you answered your own sound out accurately. I agree with your inspection, the Flyers. Ed Snider does not take compassionately to losing, look for them to rebound from this season's failure fairly strongly. The trades they own made have solved most of their bonnet issues. (Only one more year next to Hatcher!) They will make a splash contained by the free agent market, possibly beside some of the names you mentioned. As you said, they do enjoy a good immature core of players in place. Additionally, given that they enjoy re-signed Biron, look for them to make a move near either Esche, Nittimaki or even both. I chew over they are going to move whichever one brings back the best effectiveness in a trade.
I will it were the Bruins man. In adjectives truth, i know you cant improve a heck of a great deal from here, but: Pittsburgh Pengiuns. with adjectives their young ones getting experience, look for them to win the East subsequent year.
Flyers. They can get FA give support to, they have plenty of room to rearrange, Biron is semi-decent in objective (better than Esche).
Maybe not most improved, but I suppose highly superior is The Boston Bruins, I might be biased since I live in Boston, but I honestly do see big improvment subsequent season. We signed Tuukka Rask the number one goalie prospect in the world, lately signed Adam Macquaid the guy who everyone thought should have be the number one pick in the 2005 draft. We hold so much young talent contained by providence Peter Kalus, David Krejk, Mark Stuart, Matt Lashoff. The team will own some good chemistry after playing together for a year, and next to guys like Savard, Bochenski, Begeron, and Kessel (who be named the best player on the US hockey team) I expect big numbers scoring learned...if we would only obtain rid of dave lewis
Well, it wouldn't be a homer pick for me (quite opposite, if that's possible) seeing as I'm a Penguins hanger-on, but I think the Flyers will clearly be ONE of the most improved at smallest.

I'm not sure if I can see Drury or Briere going to Philly...and Gomez wants to jump to a Stanley Cup contender---I'm not certain that will be the Flyers only yet.

If Peter Forsberg finally finds a skate that works out, it is possible that he'd want to come spinal column. I'd hope Philly would want to sign him back.

I donate them credit though; they've signed a lot of guys already for 1 or 2 years that will lend a hand them out. I look forward to having more competition. The rivalry never go away, but I miss the challenge!
The Flyers
I agree that Boston have some good talent and have nowhere to go but up. I also deduce that the Flyers will take a long, knotty look at this season and do everything in their power to do better. Afterall, it be only a couple season ago that these guys were a serious playoff force to be reckon with!
I regard your right. We all know that the flyers dont mind spending money, and they enjoy the most room for improvement. I ponder the cap is supposed to dive up to about $48 million subsequent year, giving the Flyers about $16 million to re-sign their UFAs and bring within some more talent.
Flyers or Balckhawks. both teams own a wealth of talent coming contained by, and it's hard for any to go far down.

And you will not achieve Breire and Drury. You would be luckey to even get a shot at One of them.
Well i would hold to agree with you on the certainty that the Flyers will be the most improved Especially near Marty in Net he is a great goalie he have been great beside Buffalo and has won Buffalo Some great games and not justthis chronological season but before Millsy come Also with Free Agencys coming up but i dont deem that they will get adjectives the FA's that you mentioned mayber one or two of them and they wont get both Briere or Drury I don`t know one and personally iwould love for both of them to Stay within Buffalo but we just cant afford them both so in that is a possibility that Briere may be the one to go
