Other than playoff beard, are within any other playoff traditions for players or team?
Answers:
1) Staying in a hotel even if you are at your home rink, that course there are no domestic distractions.
2) Eating the same dinnertime, if it works then stick next to it.
3) Some teams practice beside no pads throughout and others practice near pads.
I am sure nearby are many frequent more, but these are the first few that came to mind for me.

Other after the Playoff Beards, pre game meal, and there is the Morning Skate. The pre winter sport practice that isn't takin' serious at all that happen in the morning. Other next that I can't think of any other big ones. I hear players putting Tape on certain areas of equipment and stick for apposite luck. Also wearing the same Soxs.
Detroit past a game plays soccer and juggle a ball around. Thats how Holmstrom get hurt about a month ago:)

For whatever it's worth: that's not generally how he operates and his reputation isn't resembling that either. So, if he be doing that, that is not well-mannered, but it is also surprising.

Just to incorporate to what has be said here ...
Brett Hull pretty clearly kicked the puck from his skate to his stick, and then score. There was anarchy on the ice as everyone poured over the boards. The adjudicator did go over to the officeholder scorer's area and asked for a review within the midst of the commotion. The play was ruled a aspiration.
Here's a key -- according to the NHL's supplemental rules that weren't even released to the public back this, the goal should hold been wipe out by any interpretation of the league's own rules. I've read them, and Hull's foot placement in the crease be clearly a violation at the time.
Now -- the rule be silly. Under normal circumstances, the purpose should have counted. The Sabres agree to Hull alone in front of the goalie. However, a rule is a rule.

Stanley Cup contained by 2001 I believe. The Stars were playing the Sabres for the Cup. Game go into OT. I think it be like the 3rd OT. Brett Hull be credited with the Game Winning Goal BUT his skate be in the crease. At that time in that was a rule surrounded by place that NO PLAYERS SKATE COULD BE IN THE CREASE. If there be ANY SKATE in the crease after the goal be to be waved bad. The refs DIDN'T wave bad the Goal, even though Hull's skate was CLEARLY within the crease. This is why the Cup has be forever tainted. Add to it that surrounded by the offseason the rule was changed to voice that the player could have his skate surrounded by the crease "as long as it didn't interfere with the goalie". The NHL afterwards claimed that it had "nil to do with the beckon in the cup". I still agree next to Herb Brooks who was the Coach for the Penguins at that time. He said he didn't see how the player could own his skate in the crease and NOT be interfering near the goalie.
In 1999, the Stars were up surrounded by the series 3 games to 2... I think it be in 2nd overtime, Brett Hull, be in the crease. There be a lot of traffic and Hull knock the puck in on a unready Hasek... Hasek saw it step in, he looked down on the rime and Hull celebrated with his queue. It wasn't until Hasek saw it on the replay that he protested. By then, the league record as a goal. There is a strong argument that Hull be in the crease (which be illegal at that time)... it wasn't wicked or even seen by the Sabres until the replay... Hasek be genuinely batter but the Sabres and fans feel robbed and now blame the (no)goal on Hull or anyone else who played for the Stars for that squad.
They won't shut up about it to this light of day... They forget that Dallas had won 3 games already and that the Sabres have a LOT of opportunities to convey a puck in the network behind Belfour... they basically fixate over one little goal that evidently broke their unconvincing hearts. I simply wish they bothered to mark some goals so we wouldn't own to listen to this ad nauseum.
By the mode, I am not disputing that it was a legitimate goal. It be technically a no-goal and should have be waived bad... but it wasn't... and that sucks but its time to move on already. My point is that the Stars did faithfully beat the Sabres. The Sabres be just sagging on.

Anyway, what happen was this. In the 1999 Stanley Cup Finals, the Buffalo Sabres squared past its sell-by date against the Dallas Stars. Buffalo had to win activity 6 in instruct to force a game 7 and hopefully win the competition. In the third overtime of game 6, contained by the wee hours of the morning when my then 11 year-old self should enjoy been surrounded by bed, Brett Hull put a puck past Dominic Hasek. The Stars stormed the rime, and it seemed similar to they had won the Stanley Cup. Now, here's the entry. In 1999 there be a rule in place that stated a player's foot could not be contained by the goal crease at the time he score a goal, and on the replay, Hull's foot be clearly in the crease. No event to the officials; the rime had already be crowded with populace celebrating the "victory", and they refuse to disallow the goal that wasn't a hope at all. The Sabres be totally and entirely robbed of a fair arbitrary to force a game 7 and possibly win the together thing. For me and thousands of other Sabres fan, it felt similar to our hearts have been ripped out and skated over. All of Western New York be outraged for weeks. Things like this appear to Buffalo sports teams adjectives too often--it's something of a curse--and if it was your troop, I guarantee it's something you would never let shift, either.

that year a NEW rule came surrounded by the NHL, if your foot is in the crease until that time the puck goes contained by the crease then contained by the net it will be NO GOAL, all right the thing is Brett Hull's foot be CLEARLY in the crease and Hull shot the puck beside the puck and his stick outside of the crease and it went within the net but it shouldn't of be a goal make happen like i said HIS FOOT WAS CLEARLY IN THE CREASE, and i mull over the ref's didn't want to stop the celebration CAUSE IT WAS THE GAME WINNING GOAL FOR THE STANLEY CUP which they should of. all your Dallas Stars fan will never admitted but its true. the foot be in the crease.

1999 Finals. Hull's foot was clearly within the crease. The goal shouldn't hold been allowed. Dallas won the cup. Hasek and company get screwed. And for about 3 weeks, the society in Dallas in reality realized that they enjoy a hockey team. Then they adjectives went final to obsessing nearly the Cowboys and steer rustlin'.
Ironically, Hasek got his cup surrounded by 2002, with Hull on his squad. And that 2002 Detroit Red Wings team, my friends, be perhaps the greatest assembly of hockey talent within NHL history.

Now, I am a Sabres fan and voice that it should have be a hockey goal. Nothing unauthorized was done and Hull didn't interfere near the goaltender. If Brian Holzinger would have cleared his man within front of the net it wouldn't hold happend. But a rule is a rule and the league should have the ball to make things right.
