[edit] Professional career
On March 9, 1998, Lipinski announced her edict to withdraw from the 1998 World Figure Skating Championships, citing a serious glandular infection that required her to hold two molars extracted, constant fatigue, and possible mononucleosis.

On April 7, 1998, Lipinski announced her intention to turn professional in an interview beside Katie Couric on the Today Show. In addition to Lipinski's own conflicting statements, her agent, Mike Burg, told reporters he be worried about Lipinski "tarnishing" her Olympic pendant by continuing to compete. Also, in a widely publicized incident, Lipinski's mother said to the media when she found that Michelle Kwan had be chosen to present a team jacket to President Bill Clinton, fairly than Lipinski, at a White House reception for Olympic athletes, "Don't you think it's a unforgivable thing for them to do to poor Tara? I own never been treated close to that in my unharmed life."

I had fall before and would topple again." The next light of day, Lipinski tore muscles around her hip, causing the other muscles to run the load and come to nothing.

She participated contained by rehearsals for a fifth season of the Stars on Ice tour in the leak of 2002, but withdrew from the tour previously it began.
