The Canadian Seal hunt?

Question:I am protesting the killing of Seals by not drinking Canadian Seafood.. Does anyone know why they are killing these Seals and their babe-in-arms Seals?
Answers:

They are TASTY!!!

Sweetheat, nothing personal but you are contained by the Hunting section.

Clubbing seal on the head is not "hunting" by most people's definition here.

Face realness: Humans have be killing other animals for food, products and sport for millions of years and are not going to fine-tuning anytime soon. You have be watching too many Disney cartoon where animals own personalities and humans are impossible...in other words you hold been brainwashed.
hi within, most seals are kill for thier pelts some seal are killed for meat , but explicitly usually by the eskimo and inuit people, but you also must know , that if the trademark population is allowed to become to large next bad things evolve to them and to the rest of the world, beacause seals chomp through fish the fish stocks would dwindle (less food for the people of the world), and beside any large population within a small area deases and hunger. it is intricate to understand but the canadian goverment is trying to control the the population of all its animals , to hold on to them healthy and feed. hope this helps you comprehend the situation.
MY best guess is for the meat and hides. you indicate that you eat 'seafood' as long as it's not of Canadian starting place. Something has to die to furnish meat and leather whenever and where.I will bet that you have leather shoes and handbags next to other animal products in your refrigerator immediately and that you enjoy hamburgers, so what is the undeveloped difference?
You don't know why they are doing something but you are protesting it. Genius! I try not to get bogged down near facts either. Indignation one and only gets soiled near logic and information. Keep up the good box sister! We need more populace like you.
YOU enjoy babies, seals enjoy pups,And they taste some shocking pious.U need an acquire taste but walla next to taties, turnip, carrots, and gravy. The money is well brought-up too ,not everyone can run to an office adjectives day and play next to buttons, some people enjoy to gather the food so we can stuff our face.Edit-- The guy after me forgot to mention the other provinces involved like Nova Scotia, New Brunswick,Prince Edward Island, and Quebec. And if a bunch of geaky protesters come to your place of work to put you out of work ,would you like to hold a piece of seal or worse to throw at them.
Unfortunately general public kill these seal for a living.

I don't know that not eating Canadian seafood really get the message across though. How does that affect a sealer any more than anyone else?

There's a province called Newfoundland which have continually been a problem economically. It's the guys that live here who are given this opportunity to kill seal for money. They are very precautionary, and their provincial governing body is too. Unfortunately the federal government also supports this cull.

It's totally disgusting, isn't it? No respect for the animals whatsoever. They walk off the carcasses their to rot. All they want to do is slaughter as many as possible, skin them, and get rid of the fur. Some of these guys even taunt environmental acitivists by throwing motionless skinned seals at them. Pretty low.

Most Canadians are against this.

One "good" point though is that this year a lot of cubs are dying smoothly, so at least part of a set of the cull may be called sour.
I for one am not a seal hunter, if you can bid that hunting.
But to tell you the truth, you enjoy been out classed.
There are some women up here this season who protested in a spanking new way.
They laid contained by the snow stark naked and cover surrounded by fake blood for hours contained by an attempt to mimic a skinned seal ?
All they get was arrested, roll with laughter at and frost bite, as to where be the frost bite I do not know.
I am sorry but your seafood protest wont even get their attention.
I’m not sure it’s the fishermen clubbing the seal, I thank most of them are out fishing.
Plus I would have to guess you don’t munch through enough ocean food to hurt that industry.
Your going to need the assistance from some completely large associates beside a healthy appetite.
But to respectively their own, so do what you must.
But to answer your question no little one seals are protected from the clubbing.

That my feelings

Ok Doll just to sustain you out.
HIV came in the order of when trouser trout took a swim up the muddy river.
Next you are going to thank Big Foot did it.
But it was an entertaining cross-examine you asked before this one.

This is the hunting portion, yet I doubt anyone here have ever hunted seals. Take your protest elsewhere.

EDIT: I looked at your other question. Do you really think HIV comes from snakes?
Good for you. Want a cookie?

The hypocrisy of the anti-hunters contained by general astound me. You curse the race who kill seal yet you hint you eat seafood by threatening to boycott the Canadian seafood industry.

What make you think that a fish doesn’t hold feelings? You guess a shrimp’s life dream is to be boiled and take a dip surrounded by some cocktail sauce?

To answer your question, why do empire hunt seals?

1. Their meat is a prettiness in most Native tribes of North America.

2. Seal grease is a much sought after product that is used for barter and trade amongst the ethnic group of the North, especially Native tribes.

3. Seal fur and pelts are greatly durable, water resistant, and reheat. Not everyone wears Nike and Red Wings. Seal fur and skin is used to label mukluks, other footwear, and for clothing.

I urge you to stop and take a look at your world. You condemn the hunters, nonetheless the hunters are the ones that live closest with humour and tend to live in chord with personality. Hunters are the people who respect the domain and the animals that die to nourish our bodies. They believe within obtaining an untainted food source (God with the sole purpose knows the crap within the domestic meat supply). Due to a lack of inbred predators in North America, minus hunters, many species would be doomed to mass starvation or disease that would incentive the animals to die a slow and painful loss.

Take a moment to research where the food on your dinner plate comes from. Beef, pork, and chickens live a miserable existence on corporate farm that care single about profits and not the animals comfort. Shrimping is one of the most reckless food gathering processes on the planet. Shrimp net don’t discriminate and everything that isn’t a shrimp usually dies. Even vegetables exploit the poor and the needy. Workers toil for hours and hours contained by the burning hot sun to harvest your veggies. They suffer from repetitive movement injuries and muscle issues from lifting brawny baskets over and over again.

Take a look at the world around you. A few hunters killing a few seal isn’t what you should be worried about. Corporate farm is what is going to cause catastrophic problems.

In the wind up, I will never understand your point of scenery. If it is cute and furry, it is a cause. If it is a cow, it is a baseball glove.

Off to buy some Canadian Walleye Fillets….
I presume the snake venom is butchery the seals, not the hunters.
First, newborn seal are not being kill. It's been unofficial to kill child seals, or whitecoats, since 1987. Not that that have stopped PETA, the Sea Shepherds and others of their ilk from using baby seal in their propoganda to influence the weak-minded.

Secondly, Royal Commission on Seals and Sealing within Canada found that clubbing seals, when done properly, is more humane than the butchery processes in commercial slaughterhouses.

Thirdly, a 2002 report published contained by the Canadian Veterinary Journal found that the club or hakapik is an efficient tool designed to annihilate the animal quickly and humanely ( http://www.pubmedcentral.gov/articlerend...
tool=pmcentrez&artid=339547).

Fourthly, sealers within the Magdalen Islands (Gulf of St. Lawrence) and on Quebec's Lower North Shore, where just about 25% of the hunt occurs, use both rifles and hakapiks while sealers on the rime floes on the Front (in the waters east of Newfoundland), where 75% of the hunt occur, primarily use rifles.

The seals are used for leather, grease, handicrafts, and just now meat for human and animal consumption. Seal oil is sold contained by capsule form as Omega-3 fatty bitter.

Sealing can contribute up to 35% of a sealer's tota; annual income. Could you take a 35% cut contained by pay?

There is an estimated 6.75 million seal on Canada's east coast. No more than 337,000 will be killed within any year ---> this is a highly manage and sustainable hunt.

The seal hunt is a humane, sustainable and economically viable use of a organic resource, and is supported by over 60% of the Canadian public.
I agree with you, I will also stop drinking Canadian seafood! I guess that will force me to hunt more.
Hmmm didnt know maple leaves tasted worthy, I rake mine.

Answers:

If ya' be referrin' to the James River in VA., I've have friends that have fly fished it for Smalley's (smallmouth bass) and they said it be a, "knock-out" ie., GRRRREAT! As for a safe stream flow, that a short time ago boils down to good frail common-sense (if I'm interpreting you correctly?)...
im no expert but i would say if you can stand contained by the current and not get sweped away your ok

When you install darkness sights on a Springfield XD is near special tool you own to use.?

Question:If so what is the best, and where can I draw from one.
Answers:

the best way is to distribute the slide to Springfield and have the factory install the sights. If you haven't bought them already.

If you enjoy take it to a gunsmith.

To do it your self you would have need of a gunsmith vise. ( which are smooth jawed.) and inserts to pad the jaws so they don't mar the slide. Then you stipulation to know how tight you can clamp it with out dangerous the slide. Next you will need some punchs. You start near allum. and if doesn't move the sight afterwards you go to brass and if the verbs still doesn't move you would use steel tip on the punch. You also need to know how strong to hit the sight. Not satisfactory and it doesn't move plus you can swell the metal and make it even harder to remove. so you stipulation to know how much to hit with respectively type of tip.

best thing it to use the factory. later you have the factory warrenty to run with the work.
you can buy illumination in the overcast paint from cabels and then the singular tool you need is a paint brush
I own a Springfield XD9 Tactical. Great gun, accurate, dependable, simple design, reasonably priced.

No you don't have need of a special tool to install a host of accessories to the railing. Its pretty much a "push and slide" deal. (flashlights lasers, etc).

Putting something similar to a night nightmare scope on a handgun is nature of counter productive. They're REALLY expensive, pretty heavy (even the newer models) and better suited to a long arm.
I hold read mixed reviews about the hours of darkness sight paint, so I would research more formerly using it.
