30-06 is better
dont ask me why i know this lol but def 30-06 adn your right they adjectives can drop a elephant, but i think the 7mm would do more deface siz isnt always what matter lol
~vote me for best answer~ : )
I would not use any of these on any elephant; the minimum caliber for legally shooting an elephant surrounded by most African countries is 375H/H Magnum.
As for your question, 30/06 have the largest diameter bullet, and then 7mm, the smallest diameter is 270.
the 30-06 is the largest bullet of the three, next to a bullet diameter of .308" the .270 and the 7mm are virtually the same. but consequently there are other ways to look at it. if you hold a 150 grain bullet within the 30-06 and a 180 grain bullet within the 7mm then the 7mm would in actual fact be the bigger bullet, just smaller contained by diameter. and as far as powerful, if your talking just about the 7mm magnum then it will own the most energy of adjectives 3 followed by the 30-06 and then the .270. if your chitchat about the 7mm mauser next it will be a little smaller quantity powerful than the .270.
but your question is which GUN is bigger, surrounded by that case it would depend on the businessman. hehe j/k
you can use yahoo's conversion calculators to convert mm to inches and vice versa. try it and see how close the 7mm is to .270
30-06 is biggest in standard, but none of them are legal or responsable for hunting elephant. You would go and get trampled like a ** if you didn't hit the elephant directly within the eye/brain.
30-06 is the largest diameter (at 0.30 inches), but the 270 is simply a 30-06 necked down to 0.277 inches. there are several 7mm (7mm mauser, 7mm remington mag, 7mm weatherby mag to moniker the most popular ones) The 7mm mauser (and 8mm Mauser) were created since the 30-06, and the 30-06 was probably derived from them. They are weaker than the 30-06. The other mentioned 7mm are more powerful than the 30-06. The mentioned calibers are well brought-up for anything in North America (including bear), but they are unjust to hunt big African game.
You would basically make them cracked, and you would become paste.
The .270 Winchester is base on the .30-06 Springfield and is a .30-06 necked down to 27 caliber. It shoots lighter bullets. The .7mm is actually a much lighter caliber round, unless you suggest the .7mm Remington Magnum.
Even though the .7mm bears the moniker 'magnum' ballistically it is extremely close (on paper) to the older .30-06 Springfield round. It is a 28 caliber bullet near available bullet weights up to 175 grains. The .30-06's bullet counterweight range is from 125 to 220 grain.
Considering that the .30-06 is a thirty caliber bullet diameter available with heavier bullets than both the .7mm and .270, the .30-06 would be the biggest of the three calibers you asked in the order of.
NOTE: None of these calibers are considered suitable for hunting elephant. As someone else already mentioned, the minimum for hunting elephant is the .375 Holland & Holland Magnum. Other than that, all three calibers you mentioned are excellent rounds for North American big team game with the .30-06 and .7mm Mag. have the edge.
H
a 30-06 i should know i own one
Hmmmm, how to answer this?
Well As rounds step, the 30-06 due to is length requires a rifle with a long bustle. So it will tend to be a bit bigger than the others. All are a bit too light for Elephant hunting however. For North American activity they work fine.
The .30-06 has the largest bore of these guns. Drop an elephant? Maybe near enough rounds and ample room to run! Better look into something like a .416 Rigby if you plan on doing any elephant hunting!
30-06 is bigger but i would use my 50. Barrett for a elephant
A 30-06 round is 7.62 x 62mm, A .270 round is approaching between 5mm to 6.5mm in diameter and A 7mm is purely really tiny. These rounds cannot stop an elephant if you just shoot it once! Maybe, three or four of 30-06 would know how to bring an adult elephant down.
Bound's huby here:
The .30-06 fires a bullet .308 inches within diameter. The .270 and 7mm both shoot a bullet .277 inches in diameter. The .270 is in fact a necked-down .30-06. The .270 and the 7mm shoot a smaller range of lighter bullets. All three would be average for thin skinned African team game. The .30-06 would be extremely marginal for use on an elephant. None of the three would drop an elephant. The .30-06 is good for adjectives North American game. The .270 and 7mm hold their limitations.
The 30-06 is a bigger cartridge. It fires a bullet immensity of 110-220 grains. The .270 is in recent times the 30-06 neck down to .270 and typically fires a 130-140 crumb bullet. The 7mm is a .280 caliber and in like mad of ways very similar to the 30-06. All are great rounds, and dexterous of hunting 99% of animals here in the U.S. Some might perceive undergunned hunt some of the bigger bears, but adjectives of them have be used. All these guns are capable of 'dropping an elephant', but would be considered bent to use in countries that hold elephant hunts. Typically larger than the 375 H&H is the minimum for elephant.
of the 3 guns listed, the 30-06 is the largest, but NONE would be reccomended for shoting an elephant
for that, you would really have need of something over 40 calibre, preferably in a magmum
I would recommend None of the more or less if you are serious about hunting a pachaderm. I'd run to a 458 or 500 Express.
7mm is good for colossal game but not elephants. 7mm is a bit larger, of a powder charge consequently either the 270 or .06.
Bullet diameters are .308 for the .30-06, .284 for a 7mm and .277 for a .270. There are Magnum version of 7mm and .270. I wouldn't take any of them elephant hunting. Elephants own been kill with such calibers, but it may purloin a while for them to die, and they are likely to be pretty angry at you if you shoot them. I have a .460 Magnum Weatherby rifle that shoots a 500 crumb bullet at 2700 feet-per-second (the same velocity as an 180 grain one surrounded by a .30-06), so you see it is far more powerful than the smaller calibers you list. It have over 3 times the kick of a .30-06. Most African nation don't allow one to hunt elephants with smaller quantity than a .400 with in no doubt impressive power even.
Why would you try to shoot an elephant with anything that small. 30-06 is the largest of the rounds but I wouldn't shoot an elephant unless I be standing on it's head. Get a .460 Magnum.
7mm and none of them could bring an Elephant
The 7mm mag is the one that is going to consent to you know you pulled the trigger very strong gun
All three can be chambered within any given model of rifle therefore the answer to your cross-question is all three, or none, or... respectively calibre has a use for which it shines over the others however African uncertain game isn't on the record for any of the three. I'd as soon take a .223 after a griz as I'd shift after an elephant with any one or adjectives of the ones in examine
youre a dumbass if you think you could hunt an elephant beside any of those. im sure you could kill it, but that isnt proverb much. if i got right up to an elephant and shot it 5 times surrounded by the head next to my .45 Kimber with 230grain FMJ, it would die, but thats not endorsed hunting. the point is to take it down near as little shots possible.
idk...
look at he cailber, 30-06 is a 30 cal a 270 is a 27 cal and a 7mm is not a 30 cal, all are really fine rifles to use on most north american game. use the one you surface comfortable with that you can hit you target etc, a rifle is simply as good as the party behind it pulling the trigger.
Anyone know how to be paid body armor?
Question:I'm not a psycho. I'm 20 years old and I'm interested surrounded by weapons and tactical gear.
Answers:
ummm, making your own body armor is approaching sewing your own parachute. You could probably do it but the risk of failure would be soaring and the consequences of failure would be catastrophic. But surrounded by a pinch, 1/4+ inch steel plating would probably stop most subsonic projectiles.
p.s. I'd get some psychological counseling if I be you.
WITH SOME METAL I THINK
it would be next to impossible for you to build your own if you are talking aramid fiber type or puncture proof, but here is the contact to Second Chance, one of the first makers of body armor, they hold a grat site that might tell you what you want to know.
