Do I entail a steel chief officer if i'm using braided vein?
Question:I usually use a steel leader if i'm using monofilament, but I switched my column to braided, and thats all I use very soon.I'm going fishing for northern, and would like to know if I requirement a wire chief officer or not?
Answers:
Yes if your fishing for toothy fish like pike or muskies I recommend sticking next to a steel leader
Yes, otherwise you'll lose the big ones.
You bet! Those creatures enjoy some chompers and that includes, "pearlies" (TEETH) ; )...
Use Fluorocarbon - line to strip or with a swivel. I'm from Fla. don't know what a northern is. I don't use steel unless I'm fishing for big teeth. If a Northern is resembling a big Mack or a King fish you'll get bit through easier in need steel.
Buying a mitt gun, what should i draw from for best price?
Question:I am looking into buying a decent caliber foot gun for an affordable price, what do you think i should buy?
Answers:
what do want to use this for plinking around or home defense? do want a revolar or semi-auto? I would suggest H&K, Sig or a 1911. you can return with a decent sig used for pretty cheap. my friend get his for about $300 within really good condition. do not buy glocks what ever you do, do not believe the hype. they are pieces of crap and i enjoy shot them. for a caliber you should look into the 9mm, 40 s&w, or 45 acp. 9mm is the cheapest but doesn't have alot knock down power. the 45 has alot stopping power but it have alot of kick. the 40 is within the middle of the 9 and the 45. it has a polite stopping power without adjectives the recoil. if you want a cheap pistol and dirt cheap ammo step with a .22. the .22 is other a fun gun. last entry don't listen to anti-gun remeber they don't know what they are talking going on for.
I know....... DON"T GET ONE. Thats the cheapest you can find it for.
The best price can be found in the toy branch at walmart...about $2.35 squirts wet...ammo is free and the caliber is .35 ...for someone of your smarts this is what you should do
i think you hold to ask your self why do i need a gun not want a gun the research it adjectives find some one not connected to the nra and ask questions
High Point is cheap and a apposite gun for home protection but too heavy for toting around. For a convey weapon I would look into one of the air weights Like Tarris.
that depends on several things, own you any experience with pistols, what are you going to use it for,how much do you want to spend,my really first pistol was ruger single six 22/22mag salaried 250 for it in95,i use my encore for hunting that's a 22-250 Rem.but basically it up to you to desire, and what you can afford,my personal choice would be a colt model 1911 in 45 ,but that may be a bit pricey, right luck and safe shootin'
buy a glock.
You should buy a revolver instead of a speedy repeat handgun if you are not an expert handling a handgun. Gun barrel should be at least possible 2 1/2 inches in length for a mundane size person and 3 inches for a larger being to carry. Light weightiness Smith and Wesson/Airlite, and the Tarus Ultra Light are two good brands gifted of firing 5 or 6 shots.
All depends on your plans for the weapon. If it's for protection then i'd have an idea that about a 357, a 45, or perchance a 9mm. Different prices depending on the quality or pet name you want. However, if your looking for something like target practice or shooting rats or small animals i'd step with a 22. Ammo is inexpensive and the gun itself is correctly priced.
Go to the local shop where the cops budge and purchase a used police turn-in. They haven't been used much and submit a good efficacy for the money.

How does one tie a fluocarbon captain to a braided principal queue in need a swivel?
Question:I read an article in FLW second month and they mentioned tying an eight foot fluorocarbon leader onto braided string. I tried tying a bloodknot to hold it, but it just pulls apart next to a little pressure, am I doing something wrong? Anybody get any ideas?
Answers:
use an albright confuse
This may help.

A blood confuse should hold if tied correctly - make sure you walk into the open loop one bearing with the ticket of one line and into the plain loop the other way near the other tag. Have you tried a Surgeon's kink?? I tie 50 pound braided Dacron to 50 pound Clear Ande monofilament for Great Lakes trolling flies and squids with a Surgeon's mat.
Ive always used a surgeons jam wen I am joining 2 different sizes or types of line together.

These two knot were developed expressly for the problem you descibe.
Tie a typical blood-knot,(your loops around respectively "side" should be at least 6). Make sure it is cinched down tight. After you brand name sure it is tight, add a "drop" of super-glue on the snarl. Even if your knot isn't "perfect" the super-glue Bonds the two lines together for good.
(This works great when attaching braid to mono. Doesn't work as well when attaching mono/mono. It is also critical to note that the better your blood-knot, the better this will work. If you start near a "poor" knot, (surgeon, blood-knot, Bimini twist) , don't expect miracles. The super-glue is basically an added "protection" policy for any "slippage" in your knot.)
Try tying a "Nail Knot" ! This is the knot used to tei the Leader onto the flyline within flyfishing and even tho it takes a bit practice to do it fast it is byfar the best Knot for the mission !
surgeon's knot works best for tieing of leaders
remember to tie final to front when tieing these nots
