How do I remove the magazine tube from a Remington 870 express super magnum?

Question:This gun was given to me and it's rusted pretty weakly. I'm taking it apart to clean it and remove the rust. I immediately need to remove the magazine tube and I don't want to disrupt it, How does one go in the region of doing this properly? Does it unscrew, or is it friction fit? And since it's rusted heavily what do I use to loosen the rusty threads? Can anybody help me? I am stuck!
Answers:

The Remington mag tube is permenant. I believe is is silver soildered within. You will have to verbs it up in place.

But if it is that rusted I would recommend that you dispatch it to be refinished (reblued) the refinishers will be able to remove the rusting in the past they refinish it. Thats the best way.

If the metal is that defectively rusted you should check with Remington to enjoy the factory replace the mag tube.
I get that problem when my bloodshed apparatus is rusty and the punks are coming to get me so I start to sweat and go and get desperate my hands shake if my weapon is jammed and I can't go and get the shell out of the breech while I can see them crawling toward the house... luckily I keep some spare shotguns near a shovel and some plastic bags surrounded by the garage
I think he is discussion about the shutting cap of the mag tube. You in recent times unscrew it with a wrench or something similar, and later take the drum out. Once the magazine cap is removed, basically shove a patch with cleaning solvent down within and start knocking the rust out.
It's a totally difficult part to remove and I wouldn't remove it. Just verbs it in place. I do parkarizing, blueing and gun Koting and never remove the tube unless it requirement replaced. You won't have any problems near leaving it where on earth it is. If you are talking just about the end boater just catch a pair of pliers and a duster and go to town. If it won't come loose find some Kroil. It's a deeply good grease that will help loosen the rust. However, depending on where on earth you are from, you should be able to find a flawless local gunsmith to sand blast the gun and I would recommend having it Gun Koted. This is a spray on and scorch finish that is impervious to rust and will hide away alot of those pits. This is what I do for a living and if you don't know what you're doing it's worth the 100-150 bucks to get it done. It's terribly hard to reblue a gun beside a great deal of rust because you own to buff out all of the pits surrounded by the metal and it can compromise the guns integrity if you buff to much away.
