How to train a squirrel dog?
Answers:
Remember the more you handle a pup the easier it's going to be on you when he's elder. Take him for walks, sit down and tolerate him crawl on you, take him for rides contained by the truck (in the front seat at this age), Get him around the 4-wheeler and other things that create noise. Get him used to getting surrounded by and out of a dog box. If you get him conditioned to these little things when he's a puppy and do them every so regularly as he's growing up things will go much easier on you then on. The last article you want is for one to be stressed out when after you take him to a different place, Like a competition hunt.
Let him run collarless and leash-less for the first few days but by 8 weeks slap a collar on him and get him used to wearing it. If you enjoy a place where he can run loose, by adjectives means consent to the little sucker run loose and be a puppy, until he starts treeing on yard squirrels and next start kenneling him only letting him out when it's time to get hold of down to business and go hunting. There are frequent reasons to merely let him out for training sessions, the major one is you want him to stay excited, You want the training sessions to be the highlight of his afternoon. Also "absence make the heart grow fonder" and he'll miss you while you're away and be more willing to work for you. Take him to the woods as repeatedly as you can when he's a puppy to become "woods wise".
At 9 or 10 weeks put a leash on him and teach him to head. One easy agency to do this is to just secure him up and leave him. It will seem to be cruel but it won't take him incredibly long at all to numeral out that he can't get away from that aim ole' chain. Once you seize him to where he can front put a piece of plywood on two cinder blocks and teach him to fly up on them while saying "nouns up". Also after he learns to head you can start teaching him to "come" here are many ways to guide this but my favorite is to put him on a 20 or 30 foot rope, let him saunter to the end of it and call upon him to you while saying "Fido, come". The knack to call a dog to you will be essential next on.
You may wonder why all of my training tips so far enjoy focused on handling and nothing on hunting. There is a sense for that. People get contained by such a hurry to make a squirrel dog over darkness that they forget to do the fundamentals. You can't rush a squirrel dog and you have to enjoy tons of patience, What I do is work on handling and pilfer him to the woods the treeing part will come instinctively if it's going to come if, it doesn't come easy you probably don't want the dog anyway.
You will be much happier near your finished product if he'll do what you tell him to do. Plus spending adjectives this time with him will label him a much better all around dog. In my view most "training tools" are just gimmick anyway the only valid way to "train" a squirrel dog is to expose it to the activity and the only solid way to do specifically to take it to the woods and consent to it run around and gain experience.

How do you take into custody Rainbow Trout using salmon egg plenty?
Question:Do you let it foat on top or consent to it sink to the bottom with sinker within a small river?
Answers:
You want to keep the eggs fundamental the bottom. Use a sinker heavy plenty so you can keep contact beside the bottom but will still let the bait move along, bouncing on the bottom. I tie a small styrofoam bubble in the egg sac to maintain it just past its sell-by date the bottom. Sometimes the bite will be very frothy so be ready adjectives the time. A long rod also helps beside the drift. I use an 8'6"ml Kunnan Competitor rod. The longer rod helps you hang on to the bait moving by lifting slightly if you feel the sinker droop up. It also lets you use lighter string by acting as a shock absorber. Good luck fishing.
Drift on the bottom. Keep it moving so use the lightest sinker you can to keep it slowly drifting.

if it's a folder, use can air(computer duster) to blow the lint and stuff out of the mechanics, don't use water, it'll rust. even stainless will rust eventually. if you must use soap and sea, do so sparingly, and completely dry it. then a muted coating of oil on the pivot point, and the blade, if you are gonna store it.
Soap, wet and a stiff brush. Do not let blood sit on the blade vry long as it will etch the blade.
Your inference on travel fly rods ?
Question:How many pieces is too heaps ?
Answers:
The more pieces, the worse.
Reason: ferrules. No matter what type of ferule, they dull the feat of the rod. Some of your better makes (St. Croix, Sage,
Scott, Loomis) incorporate different technology contained by their tapers and ferruling, and this seem to make the effects smaller amount.
You need to determine where on earth you'll be fishing and for what species of fish as well as how much room you'll own to
pack a rod. For the most part a 3 piece 8' 5wt or a 4 piece
9' 5wt will plague the bill for most trout fishing applications.
For the record, my travel rod is a 8'6" 4 piece St. Croix
Legend Ultra. Fits other behind the form, and shouldn't be a problem as a carry on for nouns travel.
I have a 3 piece. it's legitimate easy to travel near, but not that good for the actual fishing. i dont know around more expensive ones, but my cheap-o 3 piece tends to come apart after roughly speaking a dozen casts unless i save re-tightening the pieces.
that tends to construct things a bit more exciting when there's actually a fish on one ruin, you on the other, and part of your rod surrounded by the middle :)
They are great when you keep one aft the seat of the truck and you ratify a beautiful stream and wonder if theres anything worth catching within it. But for regular fishing they suck.
