The Labrador Retriever is honestly the best dog for this benign of thing. They are loyal, usually aren't gun shy, love mortal outdoors, love retrieving and enjoy the dampen. I would recommend getting a pup because you want to be able to bond beside the dog, and a pup will be cheaper than buying an older already trained dog. There are three colors of labs--black, pallid and chocolate. Black is the best, they are the smartest of the breed. Yellow's are more prone to disease and chocolates are usually very dense and hard-headed. (This is not expected to offend anyone--just a simplification not true of all yellows or chocolates).
I would also recommend training the dog yourself because the dog will be more potential to listen to you and will be under better control while your hunting which is imperative. Training hunting dogs is something I've done for over 20 years and I can personally speak about you that it's a very rewarding experience. Your bond beside the dog will also be better if you train the dog yourself. If you do decide to move about with a professional trainer, be involved contained by the dogs training, try to be present at adjectives training sessions so you can see and understand what your dog is anyone taught and why. (My household is a professional training group and this is something that we ask of all our clients if it be possible.) Professional trainers are not as hard on the dog as some folks would like to think--professional trainers usually do exactly what you ask them to do. If they don't, they are cheating you and you call for to take you're dog to someone else.
As far as males and females be in motion, I've never encountered a true difference but it can be said that females tend to be more likely to learn because they aren't as easier said than done headed. To train a dog they entail to see you as a companion, member of their "pack" but also a superior within the pack. Because you will encounter what are "alpha males" they will be less liable to listen or be trained.
Good luck and I hope you find a great hunting dog that you can have some great hunting experiences beside!!
Hunting dogs are best trained by pros. A good retriever is what you want. the lab comes to mind. The Labrador retriever is a great river dog and enjoys getting raining. The golden retriever is a great bird hunting companion too. The Chesapeake Bay is a powerful dog that is impervious they are in my estimation the best retriever. They don't gun spook! they will not run from you when you fire. They want to hunt. they want to retrieve and they don't want to stop.
They will stir on point like a pointer. They will hunt coon and hunt rabbits they are adjectives around good hunting dogs. And, they are damn pious friends.
Mine pulled me out of a frozen over lake. He hurt himself on the sharp limit of the ice but would not quit till I be pulled to safety.
Jeb be the best damn hunter I ever hunted with.
the best piece to do is to get busy questioning the net for breeder / trainers.
a flawless lab is hard to rhythm for personality as powerfully as love of the sport.
i would suggest learning just about field trials back buying a dog.
there is alot of info available. you can expect to wages $400-up for a pup depending on bloodlines and level of training.
I agree next to Knight about a Chessie. Join anything sportsman clubs you can find. Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, etc. Getting into contact with other local hunters would be a great instrument to find a mentor who can advise you on a local breeder.
labs or Chesapeake inlet retrivers sex doesnt make much difference a started dog you could use right away a pup might bring a year or more make sure that both parents hunt so heaps people breed labs newly for pets
I've had labs for times gone by 27 years. I hunt coastal ducks and geese; during the hardest late winter hunts I sign out the dog at home but the rest of the time they're with me.
Forget professional trainers. In my estimation most of them are too sturdy on a dog. You want an animal that will be both a hunting partner and companion. Pro trainers don't have the time or inclination to use soft methods; you do. A few excellent books are "Water Dog" by Richard Wolters, "Gun Dog Training, Spaniels and Retrievers" by Ken Roebuck, and the classic, "Training Your Retriever" by James Lamb Free. Wolters uses Free's methods applied to modern dog training contained by a simple and direct manner and Roebuck is an excellent upland trainer, the best contained by my estimation.
try this web site http://www.deepforkretrievers.com/...
i enjoy always loved labs. My buddy have a chessy and she does extremely well.

Can a soul progress hunting near an assault rifle?
Question:If not, why are they legal next?
Answers:
Yes.
Why should they not be legal?
The channel the government define an "assault rifle", they are scarcely different from a semi-automatic hunting rifle.
The only entity that makes them so fatal is that you can attach a bayonet, a bi-pod, and other government defined gizmo's which fashion them sooo deadly & handy for assault purposes here...
Fully automatic armaments have be illegal to own minus the afore-mentioned class III license since the 30's.
In most (all?) states it is illegal to hunt near an automatic weapon.
Trivia: How many citizens have be killed near a licensed fully automatic weapon?
There has solitary been one murder committed beside a licensed, legally owned, fully-automatic weapon since they be licensed in the 30's. That be one where a police officer used his device gun to kill his wife.
(And that be probably just a event of choice - he probably had another weapon - don't you suppose?)
Disclaimer. That information is a few years old, possibly there enjoy been two murders presently with an reasonably owner "real" assault weapon or machine gun contained by 70 years.
assult rifles that do not fire on automatic are legal. Its the fully auto ones that are not officially recognized.
I target practice with my AK47
I hunt beside a shotgun
It depends on what you're hunting
do not confuse an assault rifle near a semi-automatic rifle.an assault rifle fires a burst of rounds with a single press of the trigger, and a semi-auto rifle fires a single round next to a single press of the trigger.some people erringly refer to them as automatic rifles because a fresh round is loaded into the chamber as a function of the firing cycle.and no,you cannot use a fully automatic weapon or a converted semi-auto weapon for hunting.hope this help. ken
An assault rifle is not limited to a firearm that fires on full auto or burst fire, a semi auto rifle can be classified as an assault rifle if it have a bayonet lug, pistol grip, capable of accepting elevated capacity magazine, 16" barrel, flash supressor, collapsable stock. I don't remember if it's 3 or 5 of the above I down a firearm needs contained by order to be classified as an assault weapon. A full auto or burst weapon(select fire) Is classified as a class III weapon, not contained by any BATF description will you see the term assault rifle used to describe a class III weapon, unless the class III weapon meet the criteria for assault weapon.
Now to answer your question, surrounded by most states, hunting rifles must have a boundary to the amount of ammo they can hold, caliber restrictions, and type of action the firearm can be. If the rifle meet the criteria of the states regulations, then yes, you can use it, as for why are they sold? we hold something called the 2nd ammendment which protects CITIZENS rights to save and bear arms.
Who said you hold to hunt to own a gun? I don't see anything about hunting surrounded by the Bill of Rights.
I do know about a Second Amendment that allows individual CITIZENS, the MILITIA (who are not Gov. "regulars" or surrounded by modern terms, GI's), to own ARMS (not single shot or low-capacity or non-self loading "hunting guns") - the word is ARMS, as within rifle, pistol, shotgun of all kind.
"Assault" rifle is a media buzzword for anything that remotely looks resembling a military firearm whether its a simple semi-auto with no "assault rifle" attachments. Boker_magum have it right - and guess what? If it doesn't meet those criteria, its not an assault rifle.
Yes, but check next to your local State game law first. Some states limit the number of rounds that a rifle used for hunting can hold.
Why are they endorsed.becuase it's the second amendment. Just like the first amendment give you the right to ask the question.
Why are cars trial, they kill too when used incorrectly?
Spoons trademark people flabby, right?
umm, true assault rifles are for the most part private, you can get special permit, but most folks I know can't own a weapon that fires burst or automatic. People can own weapons that look and are designed like peas in a pod though, and yeah, you can go hunting near them, if it's an appropriate caliber for the game you're hunting. Note. I'm also a Canadian, so within may be some loop hole or info I'm missing about gun law in the U.S.
LOL
As stated above, most hunting law are regulated by magazine capacity, commotion, caliber, and also bullet construction. Most states require a bullet that expands for hunting.
I definitely agree next to boker_magnum and DTTSCW89ACE. What classifies an "assault rifle" is idiocy and mainly comes from the unconscious media. But the rifle most ppl believe of when you say assault rifle the AR-15 or any of its siblings, is not court to hunt with within my state because of the caliber. Being a .223 it is considered a .22 and too small to hunt big game near. Hmm... of course you could hunt squirrels next to it, that would be fun.
You can, but most people do not. I own a couple assult rifles, I one and only use them for target shooting. They are not as accurate as a hunting rifle, but they are alot of fun just to shoot.
Semi-autos are permissible to hunt with minus the bayonet attached. Some state may restrict ownership..
If you mean by the correct definition human being selective fire, yes you can, but you had better hold the Class III stamp.
If you mean by the incorrect definition mortal the semi-auto rifle then yes you can as long as that demanding rifle caliber is legal for that activity.
define assault rifle
typically a official hunting rifle holds 5 rounds or less
an AK style or AR15 style rifle holds more.
release the AKs and ARs for the range and win a good bolt motion to hunt with. you single get one shot at an animal typically anyway and they are much more accurate
Some states don't allow to hunt next to a assault weapon, you need to buy you a hunting rifle.
Bug repellent scent.?
Question:whats the most effective anti-bug repellent that dosen't impart off a scent while hunting deer?
Answers:
Last year I purchased a ThermaCell, which is a green plastic box give or take a few 1x3x8 inches. It contains a small butane cartridge and replaceable repellant pad. I used it this spring while bear hunting surrounded by Manitoba, and I arrowed a bear at 5 yard. The entire time I was surrounded by the woods I only have to swat about 5 mosquito's. My friends by comparison be covered with deet and still have swarms of mosquitos to deal beside. Just to let you know how unpromising it was the take on that I shot dropped about 20 yard away and within minutes you could not see his frontage for the thousands of mosquitos swarming it. This product really works, and I like the reality that I don't need to spray my skin next to anything. Keep in mind that on gusty days it is not very efficient.
Catnip is best versus misquitos
Anything with deet that say scent free!! Poor deer!!
a mosquito net
try Avon's skin so soft hip bath oil .. put it surrounded by a spray bottle and spray it before you step .. it will amaze you how well it works
