Rugby Questions and Answers

Is Rugby popular contained by North America? If so, which countries is Rugby popular within?

Answers:

Rugby is somewhat popular in North America.

Of the Canada, USA & Mexico, I reason you'll find that it is most popular in Canada, followed by USA later Mexico far behind any of those two.

This link have a chart of partipation levels:

http://www.rugbymag.com/archive/2003/aug...

Canada ranks 12th, USA 16th but given that Canada have about 1/10 the population of the USA, you can see that Rugby is much more popular within Canada than the US but even still it's not a major sport. An international team game in Canada might draw in the region of 5,000 may be 10,000 people at most. The hobby is most popular in BC and Ontario contained by Canada.

The Rugby "main nations":Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, South Africa, England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France.
All other countries are called "minor nations" surrounded by rugby terminology. Among them, rugby is VERY POPULAR within:
all the Pacific Island nation (Fiji, Samoa, Tonga among others)
Southern Africa: Namibia, Zimbabwe
Europe: Romania (Yuppie, I live there!), Georgia.
It is popular, within some quarters, contained by:
Italy (north)
Canada (students)
Japan (students)
Russia (the military)
North Africa, esp. Tunisia and Morocco (those who returned from studies in France)
the 2 bodies governing Rugby Union hold 114 members;but contained by all other countries than the above, interest for rugby is marginal.
The South Pacific especially NZ...they munch through and sleep rugby!!

Who is the fastest winger within the world?

Question:Both in sevens and fifteens...
Answers:

At present I believe that it is Bryan Habana of South Africa.

I don't own actual times but judging by when the Sprinboks played against other team like New Zealand (with their island speedsters), Habana seem to be the quickest man on the pitch.
Not too sure about sevens, but contained by fifteens I would guess Bryan Habana from the Springboks
Tom Varndell of the Leicester Tigers (and sometimes England) has be clocked at 10.8 seconds for the 100 metres. He's not a great player, but he is damn swiftly...
