Many rugby clubs have a squad for the more mature players, but most are for the over 40s. I can't read out that I've heard of one specifically for over 50s.
I expect if you know how to play the game you could find into any clubs around the area i live anyway my dad mate are all over 50 and they play

However, quite a little clubs in NW England own or have just this minute had players over 50 - Lostock, Bolton RUFC, North Manchester, etc, etc, etc

Plus the more action the more I'd in actuality watch a sport ie cricket and snooker I find dull but basketball is great to monitor.
I prefer football as it was the team game we played when I was a child. Football is easier and cheaper to play as you single need a bubble some mates and jumper for goalposts.

Rugby league. Prefer that to union because of the 6 deal with rule. In union it only just seems to be close to a load of guys trying to push the protest up the field. Much similar to tug of war but surrounded by reverse.

For me the best have to be Tom Van Vollenhoven of St Helens,
the worst has to be Tony SeuSeu ( The brother of Jerry, the NZ International ) who played for Halifax for two months prior to his hessian. This was a hessian from a club who only won 1 out of 26 match in the season.

I'm a Bulls adherent so this is not impartial. Lesley Vainikolo (The Volcano) have an amazing try-scoring record over days gone by few seasons and have to be one of the greatest overseas wingers. The Paul Brothers have be great servants to English rugby league, and several years ago Henry Paul broke the consecutive goal-kicking record.
