Founded in 2002, The Coven is committed to offering opportunity for women of all ages to play rugby at any the recreational or competitive levels.
Our inaugural season be more successful than even we had hoped. We begin the season as most new clubs do -- playing short and praying for untried arrivals -- but by the end of the season, we have over 30 players registered and, although victory elude us, we ended the season very well pleased with both the experience and our progress.
Personal highlights included the screening of Brianna Hennessy to the Canadian Under-19 Women's Team. Brianna joins our club head, Sheila Schindel, who is listed next to the National Under-23 squad.
The 2003 season has started beside a bang -- The Coven cassette its first victory at the Oshawa Tournament on May 20th

Out here, womens touch rugby is very popular. In reality, statistics at the IRU indicate that womens rugby is the fastest growing segment in the IRU (International Rugby Union). I once played within a game that have a very tough (and outstandingly nice) girl playing in the scrum at hooker on the ambiguous team. I play second row and am a honestly large bloke. I talk about at the breakdown once thatI scooped up the ball and charged forward (as you do) and slammed straight into the ambiguous player. As I got up to rejoin play after the ruck, I pushed down on the chest of the player beneath me (to maintain him/her out of play),only to realise that I be pushing down on some rather generous breasts. Somewhat embarrasing as you can imagine but she seem pretty cool about it,sympathy that I didnt do it on purpose (ahem). No really.
By the agency, this girl ended up self voted player of the tournament, so good on her !!

I play rugby on a troop. This is my second year and I LOVE IT. My bf doesn't have a problem beside me playing. You can be tough and sweet at the same time. I also play Harp Saxophone and Paino, am Captian of the FCA, And I'm within Debate
In the USA college women's rugby and high college girls' rugby are growing too fast to maintain up with themselves. I played college rugby and coached dignified school girls within the EPRU [eastern PA, NJ, DE]. There are over 25 high college girls' teams within this small area alone! Also, women's college rugby is presently an NCAA emerging sport and a few schools are making the team part of the NCAA [West Chester U, Eastern Illinois, Vasser, etc].
I wrote my senior anthro study about women and girls contained by rugby; two of the players were cheerleaders within the fall and played rugby within the spring. Some of the girls had boyfriends - that be mature ample to respect their girlfriends' athletic abilities. One of the boyfriends be the team's water-boy!
Bottom line: rugby is an awesome sport and your guy should be proud to see his girl[friend] out within kicking *** and doing what makes her comfortable!
