"On a crisp tip out day contained by 1823 William Webb Ellis picked up a football in his hand and ran next to it. To this day, back throughout the world hail this moment as the birth of rugby. Forwards, however, know that the hobby was not really invented until 1.5 second later, when Roland Dimrumple drove a squealing Mr. Ellis' obverse into the turf, kicked him in the solar plexus and told him to 'keep his sodding hand off the orb.' "

This quote from an anonymous individual describes the beginning of the team game of rugby at the Rugby School in England. Since consequently the game have become an international game beside teams on every continent of the world (except unsurprisingly Antarctica). The pinnacle of rugby competition is the World Cup, played every four years (Maybe you saw the one page devoted to it in Sports Illustrated?). The later one was played within 2003 with England defeat host Australia on Jonny Wilkinson's drop-kick. Other major competitions include the Tri-Nations (Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa), Six Nations (England, France, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and Italy) and the Super 12 (regional team from the Tri-Nations). In the United States the highest height of competition is the Premier Super League. Our national team is the USA Eagles which won its first world cup winter sport in forever by defeat Japan.

The basic premise of rugby coalition (which is what we play as compared to rugby league) is simple. Two teams playing respectively other trying to outscore the other. This is done by passing the bubble sideways, backwards, or kicking the ball. The orb cannot be passed forward. Rugby is described as a "game of ruffians played by gentlemen." It is played today by men and women, immature and old, rich and poor, and the activity continues to grow in popularity adjectives over the world. A side consists of 15 players split into backs and forwards.

Forwards gain and continue posession of the ball and try to attain the ball to the back to score the orb. There are 8 forwards, and more often than not they are the heavyweights of the squad. They are responsible for scrummages and lineouts. The Backs are usually more mobile and should do most of the scoring after the forwards get them the globe. The game is controlled by one arbitrator and two touch judges. The adjudicator is the judge and jury and his word is final. Touch magistrates stand on the sideline and mark where on earth the ball go out and who controls the ball for a smudge out.

All matches switch on with a kick-off from the 50 meter strip. At the start of the second half the other troop will kick-off. Scoring can be done in four ways. The key way is to chalk up a try, which is similar to football, except that the ball must be grounded within the tryzone. (there might be a reason it is call a touchdown). A try is worth 5 points. A two point conversion follows from the spot on the field that the try be scored. Other ways to win are on a penalty see, which is worth three points, and on a drop-goal during play, which is also worth three points.

Penalties and other stoppages in play turn out for many reason. One of the most common is that the miss is thrown forward. Another is that the ball is knock, that is a player touches the bubble and it falls forward. Both of these result in scrummages. When a player go out of bounds their team loses posession of the orb. A line out afterwards occurs where on earth both teams heave a player in the upper air to get posession of the bubble. Penalties occur for frequent reasons. Reasons resembling not releasing the ball, snarl-up (you are not allowed to block), glorious tackles, and person offsides.

During play the objective of the defending squad is to tackle the challenger. When this happens any a ruck or maul occurs. A ruck occur when the ball carrer go to the ground and his teammates move overtop of him allowing someone to take the globe and carry it into the subsequent phase. A maul occurs when the bubble carrier go into contact, but is not brought to the ground. Mauls may be moved forward, but the ball must be stripped when the maul is stopped. The length of the hobby can vary, but standard match have two 40 minute halves.

Other forms of rugby include Rugby League and Rugby Sevens. In Rugby League a troop is given six phases to score, and if they do not, the bubble is given to the other team who own six phases to score. Most of the other rules are equal. Rugby Sevens main differece is that in attendance are only seven players on the pasture (hence the name). It is much more fast pace but with a shorter clock.

There is a brotherhood that exists between ruggers. While you may be enemy on the field, you are friends sour of the field, and it is the profession of the host to provide some sort of after game entertainment, usually food and drinks.
Also, rugby. Also call rugger, Rugby football. a form of football, played between two teams of 15 member each, that differs from soccer contained by freedom to carry the bubble, block with the hand and arms, and tackle, and is characterized chiefly by continuous management and prohibition against the use of substitute players.

England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland is the best Rugby Selection?

Answers:

By far the best team is Ireland. Now the pressure is really on. As co- favourites, they hold to at least take to the world cup final. Will their bottle hold?

After the finals a lot of the Irish players will retire, It will be appropriate to see how good the Irish troop is then?

England will enjoy a better squad next season when these players come rear into it. They were not available on Saturday, because of injury.
Sheridan
Stevens
Thompson
Hill
Moody
Hodgson
Robinson
Queto
Balshaw
Borthwick

Wales poor
Scotland enormously poor
Ireland all the mode, we beat england second week, YEHAW!
Currently Ireland are probably the best team. England are rebuilding and enjoy a new inexperienced side - they hold a long way to pick up up. Scotland are not playing too well and are far bringing up the rear. Wales are perhaps potentially the best, but hold been vastly inconsistant, and don't seem to own the Winning disease...Ireland are confident and seem to know how to win when playing poorly...
England!
its get to be Ireland at the moment, they are playing well , still reflect its a real shame that France pipped them to the post :(
Still they are gonna win the triple crown me think ;)
ireland! we beat the english on saturday, who surrounded by this RBS 6 nations be undefeated, and it was an amazing game!!!
Ireland are far superior in squad spirit and attitude. They just want it more I guess.
England are distressing considering the pool of players they can choose from - must be more to do with attitude than skill, and anyone badly lead and badly coached.
Scotland and Wales are 'boys against men'. Not playing to their full potential, which isn't much anyway.
If those team played in a hypothetical four nation tournament then Ireland would probably win it near England second and Wales third, Scotland fourth.

Unfortunately they don't. They play in a Six Nations tournament that includes France and France is the best squad by far in this tournament this year.
Sorry its gotta be Ireland...if any of you watch the france game Ireland be under pressure from it anyone the first game contained by Croke park...they had a bleak game and werent playing thier best and STILL come back to almost win.but the french SLIPPED surrounded by a try in the ultimate two just almost not winning...Ireland also belt the Springboks and Oz recently...NZ will be a confront I think Ireland can do admin...But among those 4...Ireland owns!

Just hope the english can beat the french out of pure embaressment!
Ireland. O'Driscoll, Stringer, O'Kelly, What more could ya ask for.
none are as upright as the french...
From the 4 counties asked about, Ireland, near out a doubt.
Then England.
Wales and Scotland are about duplicate.
Hopefully all the Scottish players going to clad clubs will have a positive effect on the national troop over the next few years.

How can adjectives you guys say Ireland are better than France?
Only 2 weeks ago France Beat Ireland. That make them better.

How heaps points are score next to a try within rugby league?

Answers:

You get 5 points for a try, if a conversion is successful another 2 points are added. You also bring 3 points for a successful penalty see or drop-goal.
5 points for the try
2 points for the conversion
it's 5 for the try.

If the conversion kick is made afterwards it's an aditional 2 points
5
5 points for the try
2 points for the conversion (if succesful)
but it's strange because a penalty conversion is worth 3 points
P.S. you don't obtain silly scoring like that within Rugby League.
4 for tri 3 for a conversion.
5
five points for a try, two bonus points are awarded if a conversion is taken successfully.
Five. Boring England do not score various though they rely on wonder boy Johnny to kick three points adjectives of the time for a penalty. That is why they are agreed as Boring, Boring England.
5 for a non converted try
2 for a converted try
7 for a penalty try
5 for a try
3 for cost and drop goal
2 for conversion of try.

A Penalty try still have to be converted for the extra 2 points. But as the award is underneath the middle of the posts, there are not lots people who would miss such an natural score.
you achieve 5 points for the try and you
also have a shot at kicking the bubble over and trough the poles which, would give you a furhter 2 points.

total for try = 5
conversion = 2

however if you are unsuccessful beside the conversion you only gain the 5 points for the try added to your total.
