Question:I'm a 3 season sports player (cross country,basketball, and track).Over the summer I would like to build more upper. strength.I plan on running alote,but I would close to to know what would be the most effective type of training?

H.I.T.T program High Intensity Training...look it up...it is fast, firm...brutal...but it works miracles...FAST
I have a friend who is a great runner. Bullet Bob uses a rowing device in PS to his running and this guy is amazing. For someone who only runs three days a week and rows three days a week. He can run a 1:23:00 1/2 impressive at age 50.
I've seen the most impressive training is a combination of aerobic and anaerobic exercise. For example, on Monday, Wed., and Friday, you can run for say, 5 minutes, increase to 10 the subsequent day, until you seize to 30 minutes of running a day. On Tuesday and Thursday you can do the weights. Eat Halt, find plenty of rest, and drink lots of Water. Make sure you warm up past the exercises to prevent the lactic acid from building up thus creating muscle soreness by warm down, or stretching after the exercise as well.

Yes, running above your age group makes a difference. Especially contained by developing children. That is why there are age groups contained by competition. If someone is especially gifted they can compete and win contained by an older age group, but most kids can not compete against someone who is elder and bigger.

Reason is if you're fast it dosent event who you running agaisnt, you should be able to run at a extremely competitive level.
But if you slow, next both answer would be yes. Why run at a higher age group when you're not a markedly experienced runner?

u want to be pretty fast if ur gonna do that cuz the competition get faster n faster as u get into sophisticated ages. so just kind sure u run like a 530 mile or 11-12 2 mile to do clad
you cant run above you're age group; at least, not when I run it. and what's the "a" and "b"; i thought missive ages were assigned within track?

I've other been a runner. In my town, every year the fourth and fifth graders enjoy an annual track meet. I be so fast, that contained by third grade, my gym don wanted me within the track meet, so i be in it for 3 years instead of two. Then i run track when i was contained by 8th grade second year, and i'm currently doing track now at my soaring school as a freshman. I do the 400, 4 by 4 relay, and the 200, but my coach is trying to sort me do 800's now. I'm proud of adjectives my accomplishments so far, and i hope they continue. Also, when i be in fifth echelon, i won the presidential fitness award.
I love running because i love pushing myself to the limit and i love the great fear of accomplishment at the end of a honourable race. How does anyone not similar to running ?!
I run because it makes me contented; it gives me time to ruminate, puts me in a better mood, and merely makes me a better character. I'm not a great runner, but you don't have to be great to delight in running.
Well i used to just play sports resembling football, basketball and soccer and everyone picked me first because they said i was in a hurry. and at p.e im always runing far ahead of everyone else and i gain the fitness awards so one day i thought i want to do track because i thought i would be the fastest nearby too so i tried out and i was the one and only 6th grader that made it and i thought i'd be faster then everyone.WRONG even though im a 6th grader 12 years mature and running against the 14 and 15 year old kids i still try unyielding to win the races but its pretty tough so i run for practice so subsequent year i'll be one of the fastest kids in the conservatory
