Do you expect it will be possible for me to shed 6 second on my 400?
Question:do you think it will be possible for me to shed 6 second on my 400?
this will be my second time running it (usually i run the mile instead of the 400 m run and it took me this long to figure out i needed to run the 400 instead of the 1600) . i want to try and break the school transcription which is 60 seconds flat and on wednesday i get a 1:06 and that was near no close competition everyone else was in the region of 8 seconds losing me and it was my first time running it this season. my end track meet is tommorow and do you guess it is possible for me to shed 6 seconds.

I consider you can do it, but I don't know if you can do it by tomorrow. But, I think you should try!
Im going to be unadulterated honest i used to be a professional soccer player. The only process to shed that much time is to buy a running parachute. It might be expensive but it'll make you one hell of a sprinter. You will get the impression like you're floating and itll relieve the muscles in your calves as ably
honestly, no. you need proper 400m training to be capable of take time stale like that. I run the 1600 and the training my coach have us do helps within the 400, but I am not fast plenty (56-57sec) to do the 400. The 400 is more compatable to 800m runners.
Scholarship for track?
Question:Okay...i graduated from dignified school end year (2006) and was planning on attending a state university, as resourcefully as run track there. I be offered a scholarship (not much $2,500) but i didn't termination up going to that college. Instead I went to a 2 year college, but presently I want to go to this conservatory I was planning on going to surrounded by the first place and I still want to run track there. i'm wondering if it'd still be possible to return with that scholarship? I haven't be in track for a year very soon, i've still been running but haven't be competing. What are the odds here? Or will I hold to walk-on and prove to them I deserve it? Its just that I know I can still run the times I hold before and I've see their current runners' times...I'm faster. So I think i deserve one.
Answers:
I believe that contained by this situation you need to waddle on because of your lack of competition and so they can generate no definite judgement on where on earth you are at. You should talk to someone roughly it such as athletic director, track coach, financial aid dept.
I think it might be possible. I would sermon to someone in the Admissions offic or sports department if they have one.
8th title 400 meter bit time?
Question:I just run a 400 (8th grade) in 55.4 within my meet, how's that compare to the best you've see?
Thanks ya'll
Answers:
That is a good time, but it is not the best I hold seen for 8th order. You need to remember that no thing how good you are here is someone somewhere that is better, so preserve training.
the best ive seen be 55.8 by a 7th grader and he wins adjectives the meets so ur doing really honest.
That is pretty good for the 400. that would be in the order of 6th or 7th on my high school's troop and we are about to win the league title for the transcription 10th time in a row. (O'Dea High School) In lofty school you should know how to take slightly a bit of time off and be really fitting, maybe take down to 49 sec.
lol faster than me, but not faster than my friend; he's fastest kid in our county something close to four times in a row contained by both cross country and track!
Tomorrow is Field Day...?
Question:And I have to run 800 yard any pointers how I can run really fast to win 1st or 2nd place?
Answers:
Take it 200 yard at a time, make your 3rd 200yards the fastest. Make sure to lift long strides during this segment of the race. The ending 200 yards is simply an adrenaline rush. So make the 3rd 200 yard your most important!
I would first run quick for a while then start to dance medium at the fall run as fast as i can.
i would probably sprint the 1st 100-200 yard. After that go just about 70-75 percent for the rest. Then for that final 100-200 yards sprint again. start sprinting sooner if you have need of to catch the chief officer.
Another way is to purely stay with the front pack and pull away at the ruin.
I am a long distance runner on my school's track team. When i hold to run 800s, its easier just to start out steady on the other hand bringing up the pace so you don't fall over behind so that by the second nouns you sprint. Your competion should be tired by then so you should win. But NEVER run as vigorous as you can on the first lap or you won't be paid it to the end and pump your arms. The better the pump the faster you run.
