How many total swim meets are there held each year in the US - college, highschool, masters, other?
Answers:
I don't think that anyone really keeps track, because not every swim meet is sanctioned by USA Swimming. I'm sure the number is somewhere in the thousands, though. Possibly even the hundred-thousands, that is, counting highschool, college, master, recreational, open-water, and club meets.
What is a suitable age to start swimming curriculum for a child?
Answers:
Your child should enter the water as impulsive as possible to bulid a comfort zone. By taking parent-child lessons as an infant your child become comfortable in the marine and will be more prepared for independent lessons following on. If you wait too long the child may establish a dismay of the water (fear of the unknown) and will be much harder to school.
Of course, it's up to you when you think your chlid is geared up but earlier is other better! My favorite classes are full of 3-year-olds who are not afraid to jump into the pool and swim around underwater ( =
i would utter 6 but some ppl do it as babies
The intructor can answer that question better.
But I hold seen babies within diapers swim before... resourcefully not like swimming, they be floating. They would kick their foot, and then roll to their back to breath. This guy (the instructor) was throwing them bad the boat - pretty cool to see.
It will also depend on the child's reaction, and most imagined - your participation. I know my newphew won't swim at a young at heart age because he lacks concentration.
good luck
Some children revise right away and some don't catch on until next. If you feel your child is arranged then bear 'em to some classes. The instructor will let you know if it's a honest idea to verbs or to wait until next. No two children are alike.
I was put into infant swimming classes... gosh.
But I'd say-so around 6, because that's when they really start learning the strokes.
2 or smaller number
It really depends on the child. Before the age of 6, you should encourage enjoy the water, if the child is of a mind to explore in the hose down, lessons will support them develop skills more quickly. Around the age of 6, it become a more needed skill for safety's sake. Near that age, they do a lot more playing on their own and are exploring their nouns. The most important point is to not push a child to develop these water skills when they are resistant at a childlike age. A good trainer might be able to bring them around, but it regularly takes a great deal of individualized time and sometimes doesn't help at adjectives. Fear of water is the piece you want to avoid first, which allows for the learning of undamaging water practices.
