Tennis Questions and Answers

Do you want to see federer equal borg's wimbledon journal?

Answers:

It doesn't particularly bother me any way. In the back, I think Borg's accomplishments will be see as superior, even if Federer is technically, the better player.

Borg achieved his narrative five consecutive Wimbledons, and made it to the finals of a sixth, to be knocked out by McEnroe. It's of course possible Borg could have won 6 or 7. That loss, coupled beside loss at the US Open eventually drove Borg from the sport. (McEnroe would similarly take a break when Lendl manage to beat him at the US Open, and never reasonably recover).

Realize Borg was leading these Wimbledons as he was also successful French Opens. Borg won Wimbledon from 1976 to 1980. He won the French Open in 1974-1975, after from 1978 to 1981. He won the French and Wimbledon three years in a row, and reach the finals of both in 1981. Borg be the dominant clay court player of his day.

Now, his win at Wimbledons while amazing, came during a down era for serve and volley players. Rod Laver, Ken Rosewall, and the other Australians be pass their prime, as be players like Ilie Nastase and Stan Smith. Jimmy Connors be the top American, but he wasn't a very consummate serve and volleyer, a style better suited to grass. Neither was Borg, for that issue, but he had a pretty righteous serve, and was moderately lucky too.

And tennis be as popular as it could be, at least within the US, during the late 70s and untimely 80s. So Borg's accomplishments were standard. He had long mane, typical of the 70s, and was contrasted against the American unpromising boys, Connors and McEnroe.

Without a top American player, i.e., one at the level of Sampras near the charisma of Agassi, Federer's accomplishments are not being well-known as much as they could be. And, he's also dominant at a time when there is a fundamentally dominant clay courter in Rafael Nadal. Indeed, Federer showed some competency to beat Nadal at ending year's French, and Nadal, for a set or so, seemed knowledgeable of keeping up with Federer on grass.

If he does tie it, that's great for Federer. Indeed, the soul that's more likely to suffer contained by comparison is Sampras, because Federer is succeeding so shortly after Sampras was making his history, and everyone seems to believe Federer is more capable than Sampras, which I'm sure most people didn't cogitate they'd be saying very soon.
A month ago i was thinking so, but as the things are going on, i am doubting if he can. I only just wish he could regain his playing use and power.
Agreed with Pablo, but I would love to see Federer claim his rightful place surrounded by history...he's amazing and such a nice guy. Kinda reminds me of Borg in that instrument.
Yes--I love Borg and love Federer. I'd love to see any spotlight fade on Sampras.

If my friend and I are playin tennis against my bf's friend, who do you feel is gunna win?

Answers:

Well, if its two on one, then I judge that the team of two would win. You win more ground coverage and conserve more energy.
probably u and ur friend.
Whom ever have more exsperience. If its 2 on 2 then the better players will win. If its even skill clever then the peoson who make the fewest mistakes (double faults ect.)

If its 2 on 1 (Polish Doubles) its matching situation, exsept now you enjoy to trust your friend even more now. The doubles squad DOES NOT have an control. It is morstly even. The doubles have more coverage, but hold the valleys to verbs about and 2 empire can make mor mistakes than one. The single personage on the other had have to be fast and fly around, but that personality also can rely soley on him/herself, Can be less accurate because he can hit into the vallies and with the sole purpose has to cover the singles court while the double empire have to hit into the singles court and cover the doubles.
you r definately going to win because you r excellent at tennis
surprisingly the extra player is not other better for the same basis cars don't have two steering wheel 'well except those freak driving school cars' but what could ensue is both of you go for indistinguishable ball or one think the other is gonna get the globe and it splits u like a 7-10 pin contained by bowling. so keep that surrounded by mind and your eye on the ball and honourable luck to you.

p.s.
he's gonna win lol.i hope not, but, i figure if your even contemplating using a second player and unless your bringing Stephi Graf or someone, the gift of your tennis game is suspect. sorry

Tennis rankings?

Question:Now that Clijsters is retired, does everyone move up a spot in the rankings or does she lose her ranking points unhurriedly until there's no more left?
Answers:

No, Kim will be on the rankings for another 51 weeks or so. When he result from Warsaw (or everywhere she lost a couple weeks ago) falls off the rankings this time subsequent year, then she'll be past its sell-by date the rankings. This will only be an issue for for a moment while. Now it's a little annoying because everyone beneath her will be seed differently than their actual rankings at the Slams. Once her Slam results fall bad, she'll just sort of vanish.
I think that she will in recent times gradually lose WTA points as she remains unactive from the tour.
She does not disappear from the WTA rankings, but she will slide down the rankings and eventually out of the top 100. Take Lindsay Davenport for example. She have not played a tour match this complete season, however she is still ranked number 62 next to 427 points. The reason for this is that players do not lose points until the event happen the next year. For example, if Rafael Nadal did not play the French Open this year, he would lose adjectives the points for winning it ending year. Hope this makes sense.
