I luv v-ball, but I'm altitude challenge. So how can I acquire a high leap w/o buying expensive equipment.?

Question:I wanna play college v-ball but I know i would have to soar extrememly high! please relieve
Answers:

Height challenge is one item. But even some of my friends who are five foot three can get pretty far sour the ground. I would have to voice for you to practice your jump. I know that sounds silly but trust me it works. All you do is find a box or something illustrious with a flat surface and drop onto it. Over and over again till you can jump close to nothing. Each week once you take where you can fly almost OVER it, add more rise to it. Also pay attention to the things that back you jump approaching bringing your arms from behind you and pulling yourself up to hold on to your momentum going. When you land, house on the balls of your foot and not your heels. also make it where on earth when you do jump on something to prevent you from hitting your shins, you bring your knees up as very well where you in reality hit your chest. Expect to get some bruises but hey no throbbing no gain right?
I am height challenge as well, and I also love volleyball. I would simply practice jumping and work on your technique. Get down really low beside your knees bent and push your elbows back and rear. Work on getting momentum. Also, maybe find a suitable position for your height. You don't necessarly want to be outside or center. Like I said, I'm also vertically challenge, and I play the position of libero/defensive specialist. Talk to your coach too, that might aid.

Good Luck!!
ive been playing volleyball for 7 years and am tremendously skilled in every position, including blocking! (a) the height above sea level of 5'2 i know how hard it can be, but doing wall squats and toe lift really helps your vertical leap muscles. try doing 2 minutes of wall sqauts going on for 5 times a day, you will be sore.. but it def. does recompense off.. also, try around 100 toe lifts 3 times a morning.. also, just practice your approach, and wall tap. wall taps are where on earth you stand in front of a wall, facing it, as if you be facing the net! fly and make a blocking motion near your hands (a) the distance from the ground of a block.. good luck!
If you hold access to a pool, work on your jumping within the pool. Get in the pool around chest deep within the water. Bend your knees and skip. Over and over. The water will feat as your resistance and the water will verbs your landing and protect your ankles and knees.
I'm 5'3 and I've been playing volleyball for 15 years in a minute ... Its the only sport that I choose to play!! :) But, you dont other have to consentrate on jump. I've been a setter for 15 years and if I bring the place of a hitter for a game its not other the height that will obtain you to hit the ball right. Its the placement and timing of your hit.

What type of polymetrics?

Question:i'm a female playing volleyball, as see before i'm purely 168cm, what type of polymetrics do i choose to increase my jumping power/height?
gratefulness to all own answered my question quicker.
any websites for help?
Answers:

I would not do any plyometrics drills until you study up on it or ask a strength and conditioning coach or your own coach. These two books I enjoy used in helping my players to increase their elevation and power:

Jumping into Plyometrics by Donald A. Chu

and

Complete Conditioning for Volleyball by Al Scates and Mike Linn

Good Luck!!
Plyometrics are a great way to increase your hurdle. You can buy high element and expensive equipment or just build your own. One other exercise I might recommend would be jumping while within a pool. Get in the hose about chest philosophical. Jump. Not only does the hose work as your resistance (like plyometrics) but the landing is better for your knees and ankles.
Quick and easy plyometric exercise is to procure three or four different height boxes and put them beside respectively other. Jump up on one jump stale and immediately hop to the next untouchable one and so on. You can also use stairs. Jump to the first step then down after immediately to the second step, down and to the third step...etc

Good luck
dive on boxes...do it in reps of 10...start near small boxes and then move about to bigger ones..also there is this point called a hurdle machine...its weighted ropes attached to your waist and it works your leg muscles...polite luck=)
This is the best site I've found. I asked this a long time ago and someone gave this answer to me, hope it help you! The site gives you info on what plyometrics are, how they in actuality work and which ones to do to increase jump, speed, etc.

http://www.weightsnet.com/docs/plyometri...

By the process, if you look at players on the AVP tour, there are in actual fact quite seriously of players that are 5'6 and 5'7 which is only 2 or 3 inches taller than you, so focus on how you play, not that you aren't as high-ceilinged (I'm 5'7). Getting a really nice vertical jump is really influential but at your height, you'd receive a great libero and smaller but quicker player if you focused on defensive more than hitting and such.

Question:I am in the 8th level right now. I will soon be surrounded by th 9th. I am very elevated for my age. Play basketball. You have the echelon. That would be a good sport to put it to use.
if u gavent tried it consequently try it out but if u really dont like it consequently just dont play and narrate them straight up 2 leave u alone !
Politely read out, " I'm not interested"
say sry im out for cross country (you cant play cross country and volleyball ate like peas in a pod time) even if your not
Just tell them you really don't approaching volleyball that much and you would rather affiliate another sport or club or something. Or you can tell them that you are too busy beside homework and your own life and everything. If you really don't resembling it, just pretend to be really bleak and then they will consider u suck and they won't want you anymore. Whatever u do, don't join the squad!
Even though you dont wanna hear it you should try it and then if you really dont close to you dont have to verbs to play and explain to the coach's that you will try it but if you really don't like it go. I am tall myself and started out not similar to volleyball myself they did the same entry to me as they are to you. I was 5 10 is 8th category now i am a sophmore and i am 6'2" and volleyball is the most fun i own. I thought i hated it but i hold made some cool friends from it.
Good Luck
It is what you want not what anyone else thinks so you do what you want to do!!
Is it that sturdy to say no thankfulness?
give it a shot
I expect you are missing a great part of energy. Volleyball's such a lovely game.

Either you marry in the squad and be boosted or neglect the coach and ring up it a day...
I know you are an 8th grader and you are dealing beside adults. You are trying to show them respect by not telling them that you are not interested. Just be polite and put in the picture them that you are grateful for their offer, but you are not really interested. It is difficult, but you are going to hounded until you relate them.
tell them that you are not interested.. or that you are moving to a classified destination to enter the witness protection program and any more contact could put them in a world of risk :-)
Tell them your a major klutz and that you own no hand eye coordination. Also speak about them you may be tall but you cant skip. That's if you want to miss out on experiencing how fun it actually is.
flat out give an account them that you aren't interested
I have a friend who be in duplicate situation last yr. She honestly lately told the coaches and everyone else that she didn't really like volleyball and that she wasn't interested surrounded by playing on the team. It worked out angelic for her maybe it will work for you too! Good luck.
You know what? Millions of ethnic group around the globe merely WISH to be tall. So i suggest you pocket advantage of this oppertunity to at tiniest TRY it. ITs a great way to relieve stress and you might even discover you are a inbred at volleyball. It never hurts to try, and if u suck the coaches wont ask you to play anymore. Its a win win solution, and the best part is that you procure some excercise in the process.
I reflect on you should just try it out.i scrounging i used to hate volleyball and my mom made me play, and immediately i love it! If you really dont want to play...you should just notify the coaches that you really arent interested!
