VolleyBall Questions and Answers
How do you become more self confident?
Question:Recently i have made a promise to myself that i am not going agree to people acquire to me. And by that i mean, Not caution what people surmise! But i cannot help it. Recently at volleyball military camp, ive noticed it. I in actuality care what individuals think roughly how good i am! i am not the best at military camp because i do not have an overhand serve, but i enjoy great underhand serve! I dunno. How to i overcome this fear of elder teenagers and what they think more or less me?
Answers:
BELIEVE IN YOUR SELF SWEETY .
No matter how right you is you will always find somebody who will try to purloin you down .
so just believe surrounded by your self that you are good at what you do ... the rest leave your job it in the hand of whos more powerful then you ... GOD
similar to the saying go ... you do your best, and God will do the rest (wink)
umm.
Dude, you cant be what everone else wants you to be... you inevitability to be you... that may be confident, that may be not, but its simple, when to have a discussion, merely be yourself and let others know what you have a feeling, you'll notice most relatives are understanding and will appreciate you for man an individual. Trust when i tell you that human being outspoken is better that being shy...
Just suppose POSITIVE and do not allow negative thoughts to enter your mind!
hey, what help me was kickboxing. If you discern physically stronger, you will automatically feel more confident. You know that you can physically hurt everybody who get's surrounded by you way (not that you will do so but it is of late the idea that you can) This make you feel exciting stronger.
You just try your best. Don't be afraid of making mistakes, because everybody make them. And often, the withdrawal of self confidence is to think that every article we do is extremely important, and everybody is looking at us to negotiator. It isn't. Most of the time, people aren't even looking at us at adjectives. And if they do and confront you, remind them that they make mistakes also. Nobody is idyllic. Very important, don't lose your bad feeling.
One they are all hatters Two they own no life. Don't verbs about these elder **'s honey worry abouy yourself.
You enjoy to care roughly what your friends and close relatives think of you. And you inevitability to listen to their advice. You don't know everything contained by life. And you can other learn a entry or two from other people who enjoy more or different experience than you do.
But you don't have to attention to detail so much about what strangers or folks who don't mean you capably think. Sometimes citizens say things only just to put others down and make themselves discern superior as a result. Their comments can be insincere and self-serving.
Practice makes foolproof in any endeavor. And if you own some weakeness in volleyball, consequently you need to practice at it until you become better.
purely be yourself...
You are at a tough age, and what others think is immensely important to you right immediately. There is nothing wrong next to you - everyone your age is like that (even if they say-so they aren't).
Ways to help yourself? First of adjectives, you have to become conscious that it is natural to compare yourself to others around you. At military camp, you are not going to have alike game as the other girls - everyone have different strengths. But focus on yours. That underhand serve - the pros use it when it can help! There is zilch wrong with underhand serving at adjectives!! I play with some race that have thoroughly wicked underhand serves.
Ask the personality running the camp, and your coach when you go and get to school, what to work on, and what are your strengths. A personage can always build and excell their strengths, but will solely be able to develop their "weaknesses" so far. Take the feedback from your coaches as lately that - feedback. If you don't hear the "bad" stuff, you will never know what you need to work on. Honesty hurts sometimes, but contained by the end, it will sort you better, and you will find yourself enjoying things more.
Just work on yourself, and don't verbs about what the others have a sneaking suspicion that. The older girls - monitor and learn! You will achieve better playing against and with those better than you! Use them for that! If they are judge, that is because they already chew over they are great, and they will have a harder time getting any better. A biddable team mate will precision enough to possibly give you some pointers. Don't verbs about them. Remember - at hand is always someone better out nearby than everyone! Just use the time and grow as a person and a player.
Good luck!!
All answers are righteous. Practice and you will improve. Don't permit volley ball be the individual thing of interest. Get involved within volunteer work. You could look into being a candy striper at a hospital, nursing home, tutoring young-looking children. Museums, woman's shelters etc. Being involved with doing service will abet a lot. You can't help out but feel devout about yourself when you know you are helping someone. You will be appreciated. Just own fun playing volley ball, Learn to screech at yourself. My grandson is small for his age an was poor self confidence. He worked as a volunteer at our local library. It was extraordinary what it did for him.
understand sports, by that I parsimonious understand that 85% or more of points score in any sport is due to a mistake by 1 player or another. Almost adjectives "runs" of points are do to a team not overcoming the initial mistake and losing focus.
How to become more self confident:
1. Realize everyone messes up and your not the just 1
2. realize your human, and if another human can do something, then you can coach your body to do it as well
3. verbs from the mistakes IMMEDIATLY, but hang on to the correct plays forever.
4. listen to your coaches, and gross sure that you apply what they say, alot of the youth I coach forget what I said 3 second after hearing it...
worthy luck, and keep up the underhand serve, adjectives real coaches construe how important a player who can place their serve really is.
I am running a course tonight wich have players aged from 8 to 45 and we are covering the underhand serve, so tell your coach how big it really is...
Play your game while coordinate beside others. Once you are in glove, you will forget the worries and merely enjoy your spectator sport. Nobody cares overhead or underhand serve as long as they are perfect and aggressive and good location. You will be fine, girl.
BELIVE IN URSELF AND TELL URSELF U R THE * AND U WILL PLAY LIKE THE *
I hold the exact same fear. Just reason positivley and you will be fine.
Great question. The best agency to build/maintain self confidence is to not dwell on your bad plays. You have need of to focus on the next play and assure yourself that you are going to win the point. the longer you believe about your bleak plays the worse you will play. Before games, camp, and practices receive sure you are reminding yourself of how good you are. Think of your best hit, set, serve, etc. and remind yourself that you are the sh**! No one can stop you if you do this. Even if they do, it's individual one play. That's the great part just about volleyball. Every play allows an opportunity for you to redeem yourself. Good luck
Wrists hurt when playing volleyball!?
Question:I just started playing volleyball and my wrists hurt so impossible. I have practice everyday (Mon. - Fri.) 4 the subsequent 3 wks. and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do until my wrists get used 2 it. It feel like my wrists and arms r blazing when I hit the ball!!
Answers:
relations should be ashamed at the answers they are giving you.
If your feeling agony then your contacting the bubble wrong!!
End of story.
if your wrist hurt when spiking, it's beacuase your wrist shouldn't be hitting the ball, you should use your mitt. Make sure your hand stays big and easier said than done, and focus on good contact over power.
if your wrists are hurting when ratification the ball afterwards stop attacking it. If your arms are swinging into the ball after you have a problem. I am guessing that if your wrists are hurting after your passing is any going over the net, or away from your target.
When the orb contacts your arm you should be slightly dropping your arms. (And I mean slightly) it's call excepting the ball.
If you own a really hard spiker you might achieve stung once and a while, but once you start accepting the ball instead of attacking the globe your pain will shift away in a hurry.
Keep up combat for your spot on the team, hopefully your coach have better answers for you than you have gotten here.
Socks on the wrist, cartridge, ice, cold hose down, cutting of the fingers so the you wont concentration the pain within the wrists are all awful responses. Just try accepting the bubble instead of attacking it.
There is nothing you can really do! It's only just part of playing volleyball. Its something that you hold to endure...
Hit the bubble with ur hand and when you're serving keep the orb in your paw and don't hit too strong.
i am sorry, but there is really nil you can do. when you get home from practice, rime your wrists, it will take any swelling down plus numb the nouns, but other than that after a week or so, it will stir away.
its b/c the wrists aren't used to being hit so it will hurt
Have you asked the coach?
If it is OK.
How give or take a few putting Athletic Tape on your wrists. Don't put it on to tight. When you put the tape on hold your mitt out and spread your fingers slightly and that will keep you from getting the video to tight.
Let about partially an inch of the tape budge onto your hand [the part of a set of the wrist that bends]
This helps beside shock and supports your wrist some in grip you hit the ball wrong.
The rime pack will help prevent swelling. It will alleviate faster if it doesn't swell.
If you do take Aleve [Naproxen Sodium]for inflammation. Follow the directions. One tablet next to one cup of water.[12 hour tablets] Best to own food in your stomach too. Do not transport these for a long time. They can hurt your stomach and other things.
Hope this helps.
omg yes. ive played volleyball ALL my vivacity. and you should get used to it after a few days or weeks.
walk to a sport store and get volleyball wrist pad. they're pieces of cloth with insulation in them. they work so economically
personal experience:
i don't know if it is good or desperate. What i did was in recent times dip my hands within some cold water. (basically, I of late took a cold shower cuz i was pretty much dirty anyways - first week be crazy, diving everywhere, running miles)
and when i took a shower, i just kinda relaxed and did not surmise about the backache.
During practice, (lol I don't recommend this) try overhead passing more. haha that's what i did sometimes. Thing just about this is that you need to train your wrists and forearms to catch used to being hit tricky. O_o Oh and I just chew gum if that help. But then again, I chew gum 19/7. *
You could pocket pain killer, but that doesnt solve the problem, make sure u stretch the forearm muscles, and move your wrist around beforehand you play (maybe even use a heating pad) and use rime AFTER your done playing
Stinky Kitty Head.I have be following how unsure you have be about trying out for the squad and how bad tryouts be the first day. I am tremendously proud that you have stuck near it. Nice Job! As far as the wrist.make sure you tolerate your coach know. I would see the athletic trainer if you have one. If not construct sure you ice it up after practice (for 20 minutes or so). You will receive used to it. Keep up the great job.
youre probaby not cantacting the bubble correctly...cuz ur supposed to contact the ball near ur fore arm, and when contact the ball..clear sure u have a nice platform.
and when ur hitting, u obligation to make sure that u hold on to a strong hand, and that go the same when youre blocking.
youre probably impracticable to it if youve just started playing, it take a while ti get uesd to...ur fore arms will get hold of red..and perhaps bruise for a while. and youre hands and wrists will hurt for a bit
hope this help
When you are passing wear something over your arms, a sweater/jacket, or the leg member of a knee sock. Just something to filch the shock besides your arms. Ibuprofen always help the pain.
work ur forearm muscles a touch bit.cuz ur supposed to be hitting the ball next to that part of ur arm anyway.and dont hit so tough. also..."dont use ur arms to hit the ball"...keep ur arms contained by positiona dn the use ur knees to move ur arms.get the point kinda? ya ok lol hope that help..?
It sounds like you are hitting the globe wrong. It happened to me too, and hit the globe write by your wrist, but not on your wrist.
no pain no gain
only just have to grasp used to it. It might take a while but playing volleyball is worth it.
honestly ur wrists shouldn't be hurting, but they probably are because u might be bumping wrong... contained by college people call upon the bump the forearm pass because ur supposed to hit it w/ ur forearm. When you bump a orb right after your wrist anywhere between there a the crease. Just try working on ur bumps, ask ur coach to help out you w/ them, rub lotion and maessage ur wrists until they stop hurting, if they don't, see a doctor u may have injured self
your wrist probably are NOT used to mortal hit, so if you keep practicing they will stop hurting, alike thing happen to me, and my coach said it would stop hurting
good luck!
Mine hurt too, but after in the order of a week you get used to it. No aching no gain!
Repetitive motion and trauma can cause problems similar to this. You need to consult an orthopedic or sports physician to find out how to heat up, bind and protect your wrists, and when to stop.
Maybe you are hitting it wrong. Remember you don't want the ball to hit you right on the wrist's you want it slightly highly developed. Also go into the globe when you are about to hit it you own more control and it will not hurt as badly.and possibly you are swinging your arms and that's why your wrists are burning.

What are some moral things to practice in the past volleyball tryouts?
Question:I have taken a few volleyball camp, but what should I do before tryouts to increase my likelihood getting on the team.
Answers:
I agree next to the others that being competent to pass(especially passing serves) and human being able to consistently serve overhanded are probably the two through skills freshman level coaches look for.
At this even, you also want to demonstrate that you are an athlete with lots of potential. So procure in shape! Run suicides, run stairs, do pushups, situps, wall sits, etc. Anything that will assistance you show that you can move faster, jump superior, and react to the bubble quicker that the others.
Hope that helps!
um u newly have to keep hold of practicing...bumping...setting... the basics. u will do great!! hold fun. I luv v-ball!!
never played vball liek on the school squad .. but alot of things my friends that did play practed was bumping and setting the orb to your self .. just striahgt up .. adn you own to get to similar to 65 i think and it couldnt touch the ground
Two things coaches really look for is serving and endorsement.
If you (or your team) can't serve you can't win games.
It's okay if you can't set well - not everyone is a setter - but endorsement is critical. If you can pass, you will play surrounded by games. The serve starts the rally but a righteous pass bring the game going. You should still practice endorsement with your hand (aka hand passing) but it's a different technique from setting. With a foot pass (H pass) here is more force against the ball, while the set is "softer".
Also coaches don't really look at how very well you are conditioned during tryouts but if you can, do some leg exercises (such as leg extensions, squats, walls sits, and definitely running). This will help out you be conditioned for passing and will spawn you stand out as everyone else is huffing and puffing.
Don't forget to watch volleyball and see where on earth each player moves and survey the different rotations so you may have some previous wisdom. Sometimes this will help when, surrounded by tryouts, the coach may go through rotations to see how speedy you pick it up. observing vball games will give a hand you understand where on earth to go during serve recive, substructure, defense and freeballs. If you have question about playing, ask a knowledgable being (or post it here on yahoo.)
Lastly, be a part of the troop. Your attitude in volleyball counts for profoundly. Watch other volleyball teams especially girls and see how they are so enegetic and full of team spirit. Where I live everyone can seize into the game because in attendance is so much energy and you lately pick it up and get excited just about the game.
Even if you dn't cause the team, step to their games and scope out other team. Make the coach notice that you are making and endeavour to get better at volleyball.
I know that's alot of information, but it is what make you a better player too. If you don't make the squad, don't get discouraged, seize mad and procure better. Joining an off season club troop will really help you reorganize on your game.
Good Luck!
Go within with a great attitude. Be markedly vocal, and other compliment your teammates or the girls you are playing with. This is what I other look for in my players-a girl who contributes to the spirit of the squad. Also, if a coach tells you to work on something, DO IT! they will mind that you're a "coachable player" which I take any afternoon over a girl with unconscious talent who won't go anywhere.
Good luck!
when me and my friends practice first we practice bump, set spike later we go on to serving
purely practice bumping, setting, serving, and maybe spiking .and while u practice own like a target or something so u can practice ur control on the globe
WELL YOU SHOULD PRACTICE PASSING SETING AND HITING AND JUST SHOW A POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND THAT U CARE AND U CAN PLAY WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND JUST HAVE FUN!!
Bunting and serving the ball have been the crucial 2 troubles 4 me.
FUNDAMENTALS !! You need to go by, set, attack, and serve repetitively. Practicing correctly is the key. Communication is a MUST! Remember that!
Make sure you can serve really biddable. Set to yourself 100 times a day. And own the correct form for passing and spiking. Good luck.
practice volleyball. hoist weights. run! run! run! do pushups and situps
i say you practice everything you can! Mostly the rudiments but you have to run, hurdle, pratice your swings, practice on getting low, and also your dives
