I'm not sure that there is only one best thing surrounded by life. Not for me anyway. But if I have to narrow it down to only one, I'd have to influence being a parent. Second on my account would be finding True Love !

No. That's rowing. Skulling is when the rower holds one oar in respectively hand to some extent than each rower taking an oar respectively. There is single skulls and double skulls.

Skip the helmet someone suggested. Morro Bay, California is the Pacific Ocean. Helmets are critically important surrounded by whitewater river kayaking. They are not used surrounded by flat or open river. But consider a tight-fitting warm head covering. It is the quickest way to regulate your heat.
