Don't buy one before you try the fastest growing sport contained by the world - kiteboarding. I windsurfed for years with adjectives of my mates and we adjectives converted to kiting after trying it. It's easier to learn, smaller number hard work, more fun and you can acquire more days out on the water than you can on a waveboard as you inevitability less entwine.

Me and a couple my friends certainly sailed from a tarn in Georgia adjectives the way to destin Florida " we call it the quest for the saltwater" and it took us about a week of living on the boat and it be very fun!! Justin, the true answer is ALL OF THE ABOVE anything you do around marine is cool. Being an older surfer dude as expected I like surfing, but I waterki, enjoy bodyboarded, never wake boarded or skimmed, but if it is within the water do it and delight in.

All depends on what u like. nearby is no best answer as this is an opinion put somebody through the mill. Personally I think surfing is the coolest as you don't see skim, rouse or bodyboarders charging monster 50 foot waves at places resembling Jaws or other outer reefs. Although I bodyboard myself; nothin' looks cooler than a surfer coming out of a tube, standing up with their hand held high.
Surfing is unambiguously the best.To me its like psychiatric therapy it keeps me joyful , healthy and surrounded by great friends. what more could you want? SURF!
