This is not against the wall, but how we store large items within our garage. My husband made a pulley system mounted in the ceiling of our garage next to a platform connected that could be raised or lowered and next locked in place for storage. at hand was ample room to pull his truck into the garage as ably as walk underneath it. It works great.

Hey Jake! When I lived in Ocala, FL spinal column in the delayed 80's I had a Chris Craft boat near a fiberglass hull. To protect the hull and the finish I would wash the outside and deck near a good degreaser (Greased Lightning) and after-wards apply a product call Sta-Brite. It is a wax, not sure if it was a silicone platform or not but it really repelled the algae and keep the gel-coat/finish shiny
