What is the best passageway to prepare a 4 year behind the times how to surf?

Question:My father wants to coach my 4 year old nieces how to surf but desires to be safe just about it. He is a very experienced surfer and know how to teach others but not little kids who may not be used to the hose. Any suggestions?
Answers:

First, teach them to swim.
Teach them to be comfortable contained by the water, not to be startled of it.
I am not a fan of boogie boards, but surrounded by the case of a four year antiquated, a boogie board would be a good start, they are pretty protected, easy, and fun. Let em achieve comfotable with catching and riding side, they might even learn to stand on their boogie boards. And when it comes time to swot up actual surfing, get them soft boards, not unyielding ones. Keep em on soft boards as long as you can, don't let em grasp in to tough boards any earlier than age 12, first.

And talk to them, gross sure they know that the ocean is wonderful but it have dangers, too. And that they know how to avoid those danger, or over come them. Maybe even get em diving mask so they can see the wonders down there and find appreciation for the ocean.

I kinda regard as stand up surfing ought to wait til something like age 8.
wait til they'er elder... FOUR YEARS?? SURFING?? if he can do that holy crap!

Where is the best place within Cornwall for a learner 14 year antediluvian to swot to Surf? any thinking on approximate costs?

Question:14 year old desperate to swot up to surf, can skateboard a bit also need recommendation for outfits in Cornwall who edify surfing to novices
Answers:

The best surf college in Cornwall is the Extreme Academy surrounded by Watergate Bay. They are the oldest and have the most experienced instructors near. The location is Huge so over crowding is not a problem
I could teach you to surf my backside
I have a goodcouple of lesson in St Ives they loan you the boards and full length showery suits too I don't think they be too expensive but I can't rember anymore!
But alot of beaches hae polite ones or you can find some schools you can stay next to i believe! Say dude alot!
I don't know how close you are to North Devon, but I first went bodyboarding bad Croyde Bay (near Barnstaple) when I was roughly 15 (although this was a while rear legs now!). It's a really devout surfing beach for novice - you can surf most states of the tide, the waves aren't too frighteningly huge, and there're lifeguards on duty throughout the year (in the summer, anyway).

There were surf school there as capably, offering gear rental and lessons, but it's pretty remote for a daytrip (and in that wasn't much else to do but surf or lie on the sand if you went in attendance on holiday). It's also the kind of place that shuts down out of season - pretty small!

Can any one translate the chain for me "Carp Fishing Tackle from India" into German ? Thanks?

Answers:

Karpfenangel aus Indien

the translation "Karpfen-Fischen-Ger"at von Indien" would mean, translated posterior to English, something like "Carp-fishing-device from India" and it sounds fairly funny :-)
Try http://babelfish.altavista.com... or do a search for babelfish. I've used it a few times, its free and confident to use.
I do not speak German, however I read it (many of texts I have to study are not yet translated to English...)

Babblefish offer "Karpfen-Fischen-Ger"at von Indien" (Carp fish tackle from India) which works... I'm not going to claim it is the smoothest translation but it will do...
