I have need of a up to date snowboard for my valentine. I involve a 156 to 158 women's board. Any suggestions?

Answers:

My Burton Feelgood 156 is the most fun, responsive board I have ever ridden. I love it, so will she.
I SAY GO ALL OUT AND CUSTOMIZE IT AND MAKE IT SPECIAL GOOD LUCK!!!
The Luna is other a good board. My girl rode one for years, consequently when i bought my new bullet she bought herself...another Luna. She loves it!
Burton make the best snowboards in my inference. You should get one that fits her self and riding style.
I saw a Gene Simmons board the other day complete beside the tongue sticking out. That would be cool!
I run a 156 Sims board. I really like it. It's white next to orange and black mix on the vertebrae end, ginger on the bottom. I bought it about 3 or 4 years ago contained by Feb, sales are great consequently. I have red and grey Ride bindings, they work well too. Good luck finding one for your honey. My husband runs a blue Ride Mountain, wider for powder, but harder to control if you don't hold much experience.

Snowboard contained by Snow Valley, California?

Question:Has anybody ever been to Snow Valley contained by California (close to Big Bear Lake) for snowboarding?
I'm thinking about taking my husband for snowboarding for his birthday surrounded by March and I'm debating if I should take him to Big Bear (or Summit) or Snow Valley.
It's a surprise so I can't ask him which one he wishes to go.
Also I'm not going to snowboard because I'm pregnant so I want to know what I can do nearby or where I can step to spend my time alone while he's enjoying snowboarding...
I'd appreciate any info you enjoy about Snow Valley.
Thanks:)

Go to big undergo. Snow Valley is a great place to learn but within is not a lot of runs for the seasoned rider. Secondly the town of Big Bear have tons of things for you to do while he is off riding. Snow Valley have nothing. Better town, More to do. Check out Bear.
I similar to Mike's answer . . . but you might also want to consider the fact that snow gorge is "140 turns closer than Big Bear"- something to think around if you get carsick. Also, Snow Valley is means of access way cheaper. I reflect on they even have free rentals or something. It's worth it, sort of decent mountain by so cal standards, except . . .
you would capture very bored in that, and you can't hang out at the hotel cause you're preggers. If you jump to Big Bear, send your hubby to Snow Summit unless he like hitting 50-foot kickers and 100-foot rails (if so, Bear is better). You can dance to the Village- tourist shops, restaurants, etc, or go for a tramp along the lake. Have fun.
believe me, dance to big bear, snow dell sucks, its all rime, very uncertain, nothing here at all, for the sanctuary of your husband choose big bear, he could win hurt physically from the crappy snow, or mentally from the boredom of nothing to do and crappy slopes

I am a newer Skiier and would close to to get hold of devout quality/price equipment. What's the best to attain? Thanks.?

Question:I'd like to acquire good appeal for the money, but I want equipment that will last a while - ski's, poles, bindings, boots. I'm prepared to spend some money to get something that will concluding. Also, what's a good store to buy stuff? I live surrounded by Detroit. Thanks.

There are some store that have lease programs. they allow you to rent for the season. This is usually a great bet for a unusual skier because you get bright equipment that you keep beside you all the time. Its alot easier to cram on the same duo of skis than on different skis that are in different states of tune. (you may catch a rental that has a really dull edging or one with a honest edge.)

If youre an athletic creature it may be worth buying. You would probably learn faster, and could buy skis that you wouldnt swot out of right away.

Head skis seem to hand over the most bang for your buck from what I've see.

if you are a beginner who have never skied before, I'd suggest that you lurk.

if you have rented ski equipments until that time, u'd know that there are different types of skis for different level of skiers. If you are a beginner, you'll budge with shorter skis (e.g. <=150CM for a 5'7 person) that are easier to control. as you get hold of better, u'll want to get longer skiers that can return with u down the mountain faster. the perfect length of skis depends on ur height above sea level.

also, it takes stab to maintain skis. u have need of to wax them, store them in proper warmth / against the right surface, and etc. it might be a lot to appropriate in when u r a short time ago starting.
Here's a good source on what to look for when buying unusual or used skis. http://www.winterextreme.com/skitips.pdf...

If you want to wait until October the Toronto Ski Show have a ski and snowboard swap meet upstairs every year run by the Canadian Ski Patrol - undoubtedly the best deal around with expert warning available from volunteer patrollers who will give you apposite honest advise.
