Skis size 191 right size or not?

Question:I kept on getting diferent answers on the size skis i needed soi just go on e-bay and bought a pair of 191 i'm 6'3" 230lbs I'm wondering if these are the right size for me?
Answers:

It depends on your power and the type of ski.

In the "old days", a rule of thumb is that you should know how to put your hand above your go before and they should reach to here. For what it's worth.

Shorter skis are easier to turn, particularly for beginners. Longer skis are harder to turn until you catch to be able to do the more complex stem christies. Longer skis, however, own the advantage of man more stable at high speeds.

I'm an advanced skier, am 5'8", but I used to ski on 195s, because they are more stable.

The newer skis though are the hourglass-shaped ski, which can be shorter, making it easier to turn, and but more stable at higher speeds.

I'm guessing you're more starting out because you don't however know what sort of ski works best for you. As such, a 191 cm ski is probably a decent one, and next to any luck, it's a convex-shaped ski.

One other tip - it does not help to buy really advanced equipment when study. Some people starting out buy race equipment, but the fact is that using that quality of equipment requires a technique that they don't have but. Find a good recreational ski, and you should be content.

Good luck!
probably not they used to be measured from head and arm above but presently with the parabolic skis you want a size i.e. up to you nose
