What is the best snowboard?
Answers:
you should if you want to get a chaep affordable board acquire a world industries or marrow or the house or lamer or burton those are some good boards hope you rock on the hillock
Depends on what kind of rider you are and how experienced you are. Personally I close to Burton's above the rest, but Elan Snowboards are good, along next to Sims and Rossignol. I'd check them out. And come winter, your local snowboard/ski shop would let you demo them. Then you can see what your nouns is. Good luck.
Whatever that feels biddable underneath your feet. I one-sidedly use a Rossignol. For beginners, I would recommend that you demo (if possible) or buy an entry level board to be exact not too rigid or flex which allows you to do both freeride and freestyle riding. If possible, buy a good set of bindings. You can re-use your bindings then on a new board next.
Lastly, pls get yourself seriously of protection, at least for your buttock/spine protection and a helmet if you do freestyle. You will thankfulness me later.
Well, individually I have a Sims. Other biddable ones are Burton, Rossignol, Nidecker, and Ride.
After renting and borrowing many different kind of snowboards, I would have to say-so that Burton is a great brand whether you're just a neophyte or you are more experienced.
I've used the same Burton board for 7 years. It's last that long and it's still in great shape. I don't attain a new board every couple of years merely because with such a great board, I don't quality I need to. Anyways, it's only just my opinion but my Burton board have been next to me through the good and the bads and it's manage to survive which is why I love it.

Perfect snowboard?
Question:im a great skiier but im off to tahoe this winter to revise snowboarding so im shopping for the right board im 6ft2 and 90 kilos with size 12 foot any suggestions
Answers:
Get a wide board and a length of 160 - 166 cm. An adjectives mountain or freeride board is good for adjectives round performance. The freestyle boards might be too flexible.
Make sure you procure well-fitted boots too!
log on to about.com which tell you which board is right for your height, consignment and what type of boarding you wont to do.
it also tells you how to set your board up and loads of exact info too.GREAT SITE.
I would get a 159-163 no bigger. 166 will be to big. for bindings bring click ins, not flows. For boots, get any an 11.5 or a 12. make sure they are a short time snug (small), bc they will expand.
While in tahoe, you own to hit up heavenly!
enjoy fun
Is curling seriously considered a sport?
Question:player don't do anything athetic how in the world did become
Answers:
Seriously, no, considered, yes. I love that cute little rock though. It's adorable, but near is no point in this sport!
in good health, soccer is considered a sport so room for 1 more
It's in the winter olymics so i believe that it "actually" is a sport.
I tried it once and fell on my butt a couple of times and they aways own somebody yelling at you. It reminded me seriously of the army. It's a lot tougher than it looks. Plus it's on rime for crying out loud!
HEY! A CURLING QUESTION!
Well when you own 40 year-old canadien women schooling everyone in verbs - there's not much room for calling it a sport. But everyone wants to be an athlete, so newly let them be content.
I would say it is as much a sport as bowling. The games are somewhat similiar, both throw a massive object down a rigid path.
yes but merely in the olympics
I'm tired of defining sports. Let's simply not call anything a sport every again.
It's a competitive leisure, like baseball, soccer, swimming and hot dog intake.
i agree that it is not a sport. any more than shuffleboard is a sport. its shuffleboard on ice.
Let the canadians own their ice sports. Hockey is soccer on rime. Curling is Shuffleboard on Ice. Speed Skating is Track on Ice. Figure Skating is Dancing on Ice.
Now let me fashion up some canadain sports...
Ice Football- Watch out Ricky!
Ice Polo- Horses on skates on ice would be grrrrrrrrrreat
Ice Basketball or BaskICEBall
Ice Derby- Roller Derby on Ice.
Yes, i deem so.
Yes, isen't stupid
sometimes I don't know
yes
yes it the best sport in the world
Curling is specifically a sport. It's lawn bowling on rime, and don't forget lawn bowling is one of the biggest sports within the British Isles; so why not curling for good infirm Canada.
Yes.
Aye, it is.
if weightlifting is considered a sport, then so is curling...
what IS curling??
Of course it is a sport. I'm assuming that most population who knock it have never in fact tried it. Curling takes precision, speed, strength, strategy and timing. You can't a short time ago walk out on the rime and throw the stone right into the house on your first try. Stop knocking a sport only just because you don't understand it. I don't think through cricket but its still a sport.
yea! right
of corse!! and the best one there is. It's even within the olmpics.
Of course it is! duh!
Is golf? is nascar? if you consider those sports, then yes curling is a sport.
they consider it a sport within the olympics but i guess it is stupid...
You may not work up much of sweat curling, but it's a lot harder than it looks. If anyone think it's easy you can put your own troop together(it's not like you enjoy to be drafted or have money-just come together a club!), win your club championship, later your state championship, after your national title, and then you can verbs to the Olympics/Worlds.
At my club I play in the club playdowns against an Olympic title holder even though I'm not that great a curler. I probably will never beat him, but at lowest he has to vanquish me to move on and I acquire to try my luck against an Olympic medalist. No other sport is like that.
It is not really a 'big' sport.
The biggest sport within the world is football (soccer for you US yellowbellies) and one of the smallest is curling. But it is more of a sport than american football, baseball or basketball. They are not popular outside the US, so I consider them small sports. Curling is populair outside the US, so it is a big sport.
no its not a sport. It is a competition, but not a sport
How much does it cost to gain your skates sharpened?
Question:any good or cheap places to grasp it sharpen at in the nyc nouns?
Answers:
I live in Hawaii and it costs $5.50. That probably vehicle it will be cheaper for you because in Hawaii everything costs more!
It will cost between 5 and 7 dollars. I travel around the country playing hockey and that seem to be about the going rate.
I wouldn't wage more than $5.00. Unless you are Mats Sundin. Then you get your skates sharpened for free!
i hold never been to untried york, but i am a skater and it should cost about $1.50 to $3.00
You should be capable of get them sharpened at a sportsplex of some sort. Maybe a local indoor rime rink where local team play. its cheap...like smaller quantity than 10$
It depends on how serious of a skater you are. If you are a figure skater and you want a honourable sharpening it could cost you between 10 and 15 dollars. At the rink that I skate at, it costs significantly less to sharpen hockey skates. It depends on the rime arena or pro shop that does it. I would go to your local rime arena if you want them sharpened correctly.
Probably "blades" is the best answer. A typical rate is $5, give or steal. But you do get what you remuneration for.
Any hockey store, or ice rink, will own the service.
The price varies. Know that the channel you sharpen a hockey skate isn't the same as the opening you sharpen a figure skate, so try to travel to someone who actually know how to sharpen figure skates. Do you enjoy a coach? Are there any worthy skaters at your rink? You can ask them where they progress.
For a regular, everyday, recreational figure skater-type sharpening within the NY area, it's more or less $8.50.
They sharpen skates at Wollman in Central Park, and at Chelsea Piers (Sky Rink).
But as you credit, you're going to need a more specialised sharpening, and to travel to someone who REALLY knows what they are doing. Some skaters even convey their skates by Fedex to a good sharpener. But we own a couple of really great ones in the NYC nouns. My favourite is the pro at the Ice House contained by Hackensack. Competitive sharpenings cost about $25-30.
economically it depends is it figure sk8ing cuz if so you want a polite quality and i can bet that it also depends on the usage of the blades. if you use them alot consequently it will be duller so a lot will call for to be sharpnd and that can cost around 5 to 10 bucks a blade!!
