Which snowboard do I have need of?
Question:I picked up a board (can still be returned) but I'm wondering now if I'm too brawny for it? It's a Burton Feelgood (2005--it was hiding waaaay contained by the back and I get it for a steal <$200 since it's an old model) 149. I'm more or less 5'8" and 145 pounds and I'm just origin (mostly blues and greens in Colorado/Utah, no park). The board list weights up to 135 so I'm wondering if it'll flex too much and I'll lose my edge because I'm over that freight.

At your ability even it isn't too small. Those weight ranges are a guide and not an proper rule. For now, that board should be only just fine. As you get better you will find that it doesn't own the stability you'll need for superior speeds and it's going to be a submarine in the powder. It is a remarkably good board and should bestow a good platform for you to hone your skills and backing you better choose your next board a year or two down the procession

hes rite your fine the now when you are commencement it doesn't matter if the board flexes to much but i would read aloud change it because you will not be a neophyte for too long you will want the board to stay stable at speed
you want the board to last you okay into a year or two in a year or two your resources will be soo much better and you will require alot more out your board

It's cool.. looks fun...
One of the toughest sports out there to be accurate at. Check out a search for Andrew Love. great speed skater and network designer with some great training footage of getting faster and faster
it take a lot of power and streth-- but individually i would get dizzy and bored.. i integer skate :-P

Jackson Hole is a VERY nice place, but not that giant.
Neither is grouse.
The himalayan one in India sounds approaching its up there.
Not sure if this is the peak, but I bet it's one of the tops.

The village is at 9600 foot. I know the T-bar took you to 12,500. A new lift up takes you for a time higher. Hike up to 12,995.

it is contained by the Gharwal Himalaya in Northern India. This region is lower than dispute (with Pakistan) but has open over the past few years. It is approx 800km's NW of New Delhi which involves a train afterwards eventually a rough overnight bus ride. The bus ride is difficult as it is crossing some of the highest pass in the world.
A fresh gondola/ski ropeway, which took years to complete, was just this minute finished and is in operation. The unload is purely around 4000m. It took years of construction due to the short building season and long winters with snow individual around most of the year.
The Gulmarg region was feature in an issues of North American skiing magazine recently
Jackson Hole, WY have the largest vertical drop in North America. I skiied in attendance last year and loved it. I importantly recommend it.
The Imperal Express in Breckenridge Colorado is the highes heave in America (over 12,000 feet).
Who think snowboarding is path cooler than skiing?
Question:I have never tried skiing and i don't plan to. I luv snowboarding...skiiing looks to awkward. I find snowboarding much funner to examine during the olympics.

I've be snowboarding for twenty years but I love to ski every now and later (I get in the order of 100 days a year on the mountain and I spend 10 or 12 on skis).
On hard snow, skis are much better than a snowboard. A snowboard isn't exactly impossible on hard snow but I can railing my turns so much better on my skis than on my board when it's icy.
In powder there is no contest, snowboard adjectives the way. Much more fluid and fluid and most skiers can't keep up beside me if I really want to run in wide snow.
And I have to influence when it all comes down to it, if you are a speed freak afterwards you need to ditch the snowboard because skis are much, much faster than boards. On my board I can dangle with adjectives my skier friends, especially in weighty snow, but if they want to go it's adjectives I can do to just save up and I ride really, really fast.
The Olympics is definately not the venue for Snowboarding and it's a desperate place to compare Skiing and Snowboarding. You should see how big the skiers go within the Halfpipe or how much faster they are on the Snowcross course. It's really amazing to watch.
Don't receive me wrong, snowboarding is in my blood and I'm a snowboarder till I die but skiing is pretty cool too.
EDIT: In reply to Golfguy. Snowboarders can and do ride moguls, contained by fact I charge moguls complex and I love them. They are a bit more challenging on a board but still totally fun and doable.
As for snowboarders pushing past its sell-by date the powder and making it icy, that is a short time ago ridiculous. It's ignorant statements approaching that that have given snowboarders such a bleak rap. I NEVER "push" off the powder. I form the powder as well as the best skiers and better than most. Yes, occasionally you see idiots, contained by over their head, sliding sideways down the mound because they don't know what they are doing. It's just as potential to happen next to a guy on skis as it is with a guy on a board. You requirement to try snowboarding and see what it's all around before making misinformed comments resembling that.

Neither is cooler. Just get out surrounded by pow with your friends and relish the experience. Not a lot of relatives get to anymore. Anyway telemarking is what the indisputable free spirits do. Trust me I worked and lived at some of the best hills ever.

I meditate that skiing is better than snowboarding. You can do so much more on skis. Ya can't do moguls on a snowboard. Snowboarders push the powdery snow off the slope, and it get icy. Although much funner to watch during the olympics.

i always enjoy planned to, but my dad doesnt like it... (basically doesnt consent to me try it)
so i have solitary skiied. i can tell you, watching others snowboard, it looks more nice than skiing, but at least im doing something!
I also ponder that snowboarding is way cooler than skiing!!
