If you're not dutiful at skateboarding, will you suck at snowboarding?

Question:Is snowbarding somewhat easy?
Answers:

If you are not moral at rollerskating, will you suck at ice skating?
Seriously, I would regard as snowboarding would be easier simply because snow is usually more forgiving than cement if you fall. Also you are wearing more clothes to protect you if you plummet. These two reasons would be plenty to calm the worries of how feebly one would get hurt contained by a wipeout, and could concnetrate on learning the paired part better. And if you are more relaxed, It is easier to swot anything. Once you have a worthy sense of balance near the movement, it will be easier to try more complicated moves than just straight gliding. Then, once the snow melt, you can try out your skills on the skateboard and see how well you do--You should already own the balance member down, just a minor adjustment to wheel instead of flat board.
However, if your balancing skills are not righteous, or you have equalibrium problems, you may not be virtuous at either sport.
not neccessarily.however the set off required with skateboarding is neccessary for snowboarding.and yes...snowboarding is somewhat difficult...once you are used to it however, you will never want to stop
Snowboarding have a lot contained by common and it would minister to to know how to skateboard because it gives you a perceive for maneuvering the board. It was however easier to snowboard.
Although both necessitate a decent sense of set off, snowboarding uses a different set of muscles, you steer more with your subsidise foot, rather than skateboarding which uses more of your front foot.

So to answer your cross-examine, just becasue you are not outstandingly good at skateboarding, does NOT parsimonious that you will not succeed at snowboarding.

Good luck
u may possibly be bad at both but nearby not really related. the only comparrision that would variety the two similar is balance, short that you wont do well buyt snowboarding is on a board near no wheels contained by the snow down hill or on a partly pip while skateboarding has wheel and u use ur fott to go faster and do tricks and such.
i suck at skateboarding but i consider myself an intermediate-advanced snowboarder.

but i would feel if you are good at skateboarding, you would be capable of pickup snowboarding quicker.

but i guess i was jus more confident/comitted into erudition snowboarding. im jus kinda scared on a skateboard (i to some extent eat snow a bit than pavement lol)
snowboarding is fun...don't worry just about skateboarding.
snowboarding is easier than skateboarding

i have friends that can't set off on a skateboard but can snowboard fine
i wouldn't say snowboarding is comfortable, but you wont suck at it because you cant skate well. i can do 360s snowboarding (working at 540s), but i can barley pop-shovit on a skateboard. i suck at skating, but not at snowboarding. its possible to suck at snowboarding and be devout at skateboarding, or be good at both, or suck at both. i intuitively am way better at snowboarding than skateboarding. you might be similar to me, so give snowboarding a try
ok, first sour i think you lately made alot of people pissed because you asked if snowboarding be easy. as for answering your put somebody through the mill though, I would say that if your fruitless at skateboarding your going to suck at snowboarding, they are two different sports with alot of different styles. I enjoy the same problem (if you imagine its a problem that is) i suck at skateboarding, but im great at snowboarding. even though im not that good on a skateboard i still do it during the summer a short time ago to keep contained by shape for snowboarding, the basic movements are indistinguishable so if i were you i purely wouldnt worry nearly it, plus falling on snow doesnt hurt as much as falling on cement so that im hoping should push you not to get freaked out almost not being correct at snowboarding. bottom line purely go for it

Big Sky resort is close to Bozeman, My favorites are Bridger bowl and Red Lodge (a little ways west). If you find yourself waaaay north there is Big Mountain/ Whitefish up north by Flathead Lake. Great snow near fewer empire than most other areas. You'll get vast and fresh powder with small pull lines. Enjoy!
Big Sky and Moonlight basin immediately have a combined ticket grant, which is a great deal on the two best resorts within Montana.

Going to Tahoe alone for First Time, going to attempt to Snowboard for First time, direction?

Question:I'm going to the Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe by myself, flying from the Bay Area. I'm 23 years antiquated. I was at Heavenly second year but didn't do anything because my company didn't want to have fun. Could anyone that know anything about this Resort or nouns give me counsel as to where I should turn, what to look out for, should I take the Lift up the Gondola? Can I board withouth module, etc? Thanks.
Answers:

GET A LESSON.

annoying though it may be, there are things you really cant revise without a short time help.

However, some stuff to swot on ur own before the lesson, to go and get ahead of the pack:

"Skating". Clip your front foot into its binding, and learn to see yourself around with your support foot like you would on a skateboard. praktice on a flat nouns at first, then try skating up a tiny, soft slope, and point the snowboard straight down the hill. Give yourself a touch kick forward next to your back foot to the bottom of the hillock, then rest your foot on the snowboard, of late before the stern binding.

Then, try to turn as you go down the slope. Learn to do a "toeside" turn first, by considerately leaning forward. When you enjoy this down, do a "heelside" turn - the same piece but on your heels.

I don't know the instructors at Heavenly - so i can't help you near. However, If you discover that the lesson is a complete waste of time (i.e. skating around for 2 hours straight, not riding the raise on the first lesson), don't be afraid to ditch.

See if you can get hold of your own equipment cheaply on "www.craigslist.org" . It will generate your day much more nice, as resorts often rent miserably tuned boards beside step in bindings - YUCK! you want strap in. Do spawn sure to get a relatively modern board - they own advanced enormously contained by the past 10 years. (3-4 season old is fine) . Complete outfits of this type can repeatedly be had for underneath 100.

Finally, get rainproof pants. You will be spending seriously of time on you *** as you learn, and you do not want your pant picking up snow and it melting.

own fun,

Joe
Joe_Dirt got it exactly right! Take a lesson. Seems dumb, but if you are alone that's the singular way you're going to swot anything.

Definitly use strap bindings, not the crappy step in loving (similar to ski bindings).

Ummm...not much I can add to the previous answer. Have fun. Don't tolerate pride get within the way of study and having a great time!! Haha :-D
Buy and use a helmet. Spend just about 90 min. stretching before and after you are on the mountain. Have fun.
Heavenly have 3 Ski School locations: California Main Lodge; Gondola; Boulder

For a beginner snowboarder, there's no difference between the locations so most race choose a location based on convenience for where on earth they're staying.

Take a lesson - Heavenly will give you a big discount on your move up ticket if you buy a lesson package (lesson, heave and rentals). No reservations are required for group lessons which are every morning at 10:00am and 1:00pm for 3 hours.

Make sure you check in at lowest possible 60 minutes before the lesson starts to bequeath yourself time to get your equipment fitted. Arrive even sooner at the Gondola Ski School to give yourself 20 minutes to ride to the top of the Gondola where on earth the lessons come across.

Morning lessons are typically for a time busier than afternoon lessons but the supremacy of taking a morning lesson is that you can use your lift ticket and equipment surrounded by the afternoon to practise your new skills.
I enjoy no advice for you apart from what the others hold said. Although you have newly brought back some fond memories. I learn to snowboard in Tahoe give or take a few 10 years ago. It was fantastic. I hope you own a great time. The most important point is not to give up. The first few days be hell - but after that its one of the best things you can do EVER.
Good luck & enjoy
