Best age to start skiing?
Question:I have a 2 year prehistoric son. Being keen on skiing I'd resembling him to start at an early age. Anyone beside experience of this? A good age? Good resorts/operators? Bad experiences?
Answers:
Here is what you do, coming from someone who have skied for 30 years, and has two daughters skiing in a minute, ages 7 and 9.
Two is way too childlike. The bones are not nearly developed enough to feel the stresses of the sport. Three is ok, as is four or five. Obviously you want sooner than later, and I don't blame you, but you should skulk until at least three years of age.
Now, how to:
You entail to buy a pair of edgie-wedgies. Sounds gay, but they are a energy saver. Those are the little fellas that keep hold of the tips together. There are several different designs, they all work fine.
Then you call for to buy what's called a "Racer Chaser". The interconnect below is from Amazon.com. I was suprised they carried it...the picture is exactly like peas in a pod as the one that I have. You can probably find it cheaper though. Heck, I'm looking to market mine (and the edgie-wedgie). email me if you want at:
brass_b(a)yahoo.com
and we could work out the details maybe.
Anyways, the Racer Chaser is a harness that the kid wear like a vest, and a strap hooks to it on any side. You trail the kid, and if you hook it up right, a left tug on the strap initiates a departed turn, and same for a right tug.
I'm sure you have see the parents holding their kids from behind. That is a huge mistake. The kid doesn't swot up how to maintain a centered stance...they are inclined to lean wager on, which is not the correct habit to form at a young-looking age. You also see parents bent over skiing backward, holding the tips of the skis. This is ok for the kid, but bloody for the parent!
When using the Racer Chaser, I always tried to keep hold of slack in the strap, so they be standing on their own, and just applied tugs to procure them turning left and right. The solely time I ever applied back-pressure was to brake them (for observable reasons!)

Hope adjectives this helps! Good luck...subsequent season, it's probably too soon for this season!
young i started ski college at like 3 or 4 even though i switched to snowboarding i still get like 5 years of skiing surrounded by
3 or 4
Aged 3 onwards.
I went skiing beside the school when I be 13 and one of the memories I have is of these infantile kids probably 3 or 4 who were fab and putting elder kids and adults to shame! I think the younger they revise the better, as they have no anxiety.
I would try Crystal & Inghams and maybe First Choice Ski for prices and resorts recommdations.
Honestly, when they show an interest. My husband is a snow board instructor and my son started when he be 3. He totally rebeled and would not do it because we wanted him to do it so disappointingly. However, my daughter started at 2 1/2. My son saw her having fun and that made him try again. Now snowboarding is everything.I know that you said skiing, but I figure this was close ample. skiing is so hard
im a ski instructor and the youngest age ive skilled was 4. i started skiing when i be 3, but my dad was a ski instructor so he skilled me. if you are looking to take course from a ski school, oodles of them require the child to be at least 5 years weak...sometimes 4. if you are planning on teaching him (its really not frozen at all as long as you yourself are positive that you are skiing beside the right technique) then by adjectives means start as young-looking as 3...but at age 2 its too difficult to get skis and boots to stay on, person as his feet are going to be soo tiny!! right luck
I started as a three year old, beside my dad teaching me. If you want them to be really honest, and maybe be paid a carreer out of skiing, start him at three. If you want them to just delight in it, than 5 or 6 should do.
2 is a bit young. My brother be 4, and i was 5 when we started skiing - I would read aloud this is about right - while they still bouce! Earlier than 4 or 5 and they enjoy trouble understanding what is going on and why they are doing it.

Two-footed vs One-footed skiing?
Question:There's been a debate whether the bulk should be equally distributed between both feet or primarily on the outer ski. Any thoughts?
Answers:
LOL...dampen skiing on ice? ;)
Before shaped skis, the proper method be to weight the downhill turn, and initiate the subsequent turn across the fall strip by unweighting the dh ski, and transferring the weight to the uh ski.
Now, next to shaped skis, you can pretty nearly keep the immensity over both skis, provided you are on blue groomers. The turns are really just initiated beside a little big toe steering and using the hips to direct the turn.
However, steeper, ungroomed stuff you enjoy to apply more weight to the dh ski, at hand really isn't a choice!
Skiing with two skis the shipment is balanced unless you're shifting positions behind the boat or turning. This is when you shift weightiness from one ski to the other.
Now I've never tried with one ski, but the stern foot I know is used to shift the balance (cut into the water) bad from where it's centered (the forward foot).
Don't you rise and fall the weight distribution according to the course you wish to jump (turning)?
I'd say mass is even on both ski's while going in a straight strip but when the boat is turning, your weight is shifted to one ski (the disappeared if boat is turning left) to help you stay at the back the boat instead of swinging way out.(Or right ski if boat is turning right).
Are within any proffessional plus size numeral skaters??
Question:I feel really absurd, but I love skating.. I just want to find some other plus size numeral skaters, to find some support about how to accord with adjectives the smaller girls who make fun of me...
Answers:
Don't perceive out of place, hold confidence in yourself! Many of my friends who are integer skaters are also plus size. If the smaller girls start making fun of you, scrap some rime using your skates and throw at them!
Honestly, some girls seem to engineer fun of everyone.
Like i am skinny, and have be skating for years and somehow whenever i'm around this certian group of them i want to just similar to dissaper and confidence drops in similar to a second.
So basicly dont let those girls effect your dream similar to they are currently doing with me right very soon. It broke my heart so much.
Just go out their shame them and if you spend your time praticing unlike they are cause their are human being rude brats, then you will be waaaay better than them and other will be.
